Aegean View Hotel

Excellent views, up a short hill but worth it, our studio was spacious, clean with a good area outside to sit and admire the view, pool area small and compact but not too busy in early October when we visited, maid service good and bar staff/owners very friendly.5 mins downhill to the start of the restaurants and 10 mins to beach, good bus service to the caldera from kalmari, 20-25 mins

Pleasant and friendly staff. The services rendered were exceptional. George, Luis and Zoe went above and beyond to help us with transportation.

Stubby views from hotel and balcony, delicious food at the on-site pool bar. 10 mins walk into town (yes a hill so not good if you have mobility issues), apartments very clean, could do with some modernising and maintenance. Staff very friendly . Kamari is wonderful and full of restaurants , good beach & would definitely visit again.
Our apartment had fridge & hob and microwave.
The beds in the living room area were fine but not great & air con only in the living area not the bedroom, the bathroom has been renovated and is lovely.
Pool is great and Pawnee encourage children and family’s to be here . Unlike some guests whilst we were staying! There is also a small baby pool , sun loungers and lovely with think mattresses so are very comfortable. Cocktail and alcohol / spirit prices are on the higher side. Food prices are reasonable though.dimitri is great very friendly and loves the kids. Wi-Fi not the best is only working ok by the pool, rooms are hit and miss.

Stayed here recently in a studio for sole use. The hotel is set in a quiet hillside location with amazing views.
My room was clean and spacious with fresh towels provided daily. The bathroom had a shower over the bath which was a bit dated but useable.
The owners and staff were very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was good, the made-to-order omlettes were delicious. Food was available at the pool bar, which was also very good and reasonably priced.
The pool area and sun terrace were lovely places to relax and enjoy the sunshine and views.
The bus stop was a good 15 mins walk, where you could catch the bus to Fira for 2€, this takes about 20 mins.
My only slightly negative comment is that the location of the hotel wasn't ideal for me as a solo female traveller, as it's set on a lonely road/track. The walk to and from the resort/beach doesn't take long but some would struggle with the incline.

The owners and the whole staff are very friendly and always value your needs. The owner also give us a lift to the bus stop, breakfast is plenty and full.The hotel has a grand view of the Kamari beach.The swimming pool is very clean, so my family enjoying our swimming. I will really give it a five star. Well recommended.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. Walking distance to Kamari beach, shops, and restaurants. Stunning view of the ocean and sunrise.

Fantastic hotel, staff brilliant. Food wonderful. Well deserves 5 star review. Be prepared for the hill walk to the hotel this definitely burnt off our dinner each evening. Would recommend to everyone to stay here, this family run hotel go above and beyond to make a holiday very special. Brilliant location with stunning views.

Wonderful hotel with amazing and helpful staff. Would definitely stay again!

Our 6th or 7th visit - Tasos and his family provide everything possible you could wish for on your holiday. It is a true family oriented venue with Mum, Dad, sons, daughter in law and grandchildren and Grandma xx providing everything you need for a fab holiday. Dimitri's on the bar is great as well - a character! Breakfast is great, just ask for what you want and you'll get it! The facilities are good, probably do need and update but what you have is perfectly clean and useable and if you have a problem they are fixed immediately without question. The location is great, with perfect views across the Aegean. It does get windy at the hotel close to the mountain but this is great as it cools everything down - very welcome. The family taxi company Feggera is great for pick ups and drops offs to airport and for any excursions. Also try the Feggera bakery on the outskirts of Kamari - great coffee!!

Great Views & Quiet Location
Stayed at Aegean View Hotel in Kamari—loved the stunning sea views and peaceful setting. The walk up from the beach is steep, but worth it for the views. Room was clean and spacious, though a bit dated. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great place if you want to relax away from the crowds.

First time in Santorini and what a fabulous hotel to stay. From the minute we arrived to leaving the people here are amazing so friendly and helpful. Stunning views stunning hospitality .

Myself and. Four lady friends had a lovely time .the owners and staff were exceptionally kind nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel so welcome we had some meals at the pool bar very good and not expensive..we were given lifts down to the village of kamari and picked ip at our choice of time with no charge it was good for us as we are elderly and the hotel was up a hill ..the views were beautiful …thoughly recommend.

One of the best holidays I have ever had, from the second we arrived we were made to feel welcome and part of the family, Dimitris cannot do enough to help you, quite simply the best bartender in Santorini.

The place is spotless, rooms are big and cleaned everyday, if you get chance make sure you try the home cooked food here, Tasos cooks an amazing stuffed pepper/tomato.

Its's a short walk down to the beach, the walk back up can be a bit tough but easily managable, Dana's is a great place to eat just at the top of the hill, the place as such a relaxed vibe, never any issues getting a sunbed, the beer is ice cold and refreshing, and it as stunning views out to sea. (make sure you get up early at least once and experience the sunrise, its breathtaking views from the hotel are amazing)

The hotel can also arrange for transport around the island if needed, I was lucky enough to propose to my girlfriend and Dimitris booked the restaurant in Oia and the transfer to and from, making my job easier (there's nothing they wouldnt do for you)

Second time at this lovely hotel. My family and I had a great time. Staff are lovely, the apartment was comfortable, a good size and immaculately clean. The food here is lovely and great value. It has a very chilled vibe and the most amazing views due to being at the top of a hill. We hopefully will be back next year.

Fantastic hotel nothing is too much trouble Tassos was always happy to help as was George and Eddie, nothing was too much trouble even took us to the open air cinema and picked us up fabulous place will definitely be back 😀 beautiful views from the balcony well worth the uphill climb....

Great hotel run by a lovely family. Although rooms are dated they are exceptionally clean, the cleaners came daily. Amazing views from our room 517. No fighting over sunbeds, lovely pool bar serving great food and drinks. Eddie the barman can make great cocktails. Our first visit to Santorini but it won’t be our last.

AMAZING PLACE. Pool area so chilled and relaxing. Plenty of sunbeds. Bar open early every day til late. Tassos is brilliant. So friendly and helps you to learn Greek. Cannot do enough for you. Also Eddie the barman. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The whole family are so lovely. Even picked us up from the supermarket and took us to and from the open air cinema. You will not be disappointed. Absolutely brilliant holiday and the nicest people you will ever meet. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I will definitely be going back

From the moment we arrived to the day we left the staff and manager were amazing. Stayed for 7 nights for our sons wedding. Arriving late and wanted to meet up with our son George very kindly gave us a lift to meeting place, pointing out restaurants and bars. Room was open plan and huge for myself, husband and son. Cleaned every day with fresh towels. Pool amazing and no rush to get a sun bed. Food was gorgeous and average priced. Nothing a bother. Our air con wasn't the best but was given a fan at no extra cost which did the job. Views amazing. First time in Santorini and will definitely return to this hotel. Just as others have mentioned it is on a hill so not good if you have mobility issues. A big Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our stay as memorable as our sons wedding.
