Pros:

Good pub in the hotel, with good quality food at reasonable prices.
Good vibe around the place.
Excellent breakfast choice in an amazing restaurant.

Cons:

The strips at the bottom of screen for the in bath shower was in serious need of replacing. A very easy fix.
Couldn't say another bad word about the hotel.

Bar, food, staff all top quality, fix the breakfast coffee!
Pros:

Very friendly staff. Wi-fi ok. Good bar staff. Food (dinner) very good quality.

Cons:

Fixed shower head only worked - hand held shower head didn't, maybe just unlucky in my room..No bottled water in rooms. Breakfast options were fairly basic, but sufficient, yet the coffee was undrinkable - order tea and get a coffee elsewhere..

Musty smells of carpets and no air conditioning or fan in July heatwaves
Pros:

Staff in breakfast room were efficient, pleasant and well-groomed.

Cons:

No air-conditioning in July heatwave, no fans available as they were ‘all gone’. View from unwashed window is a trellis fence. Ground floor room and corridor feels like a basement. Heavy old furnishings retaining musty smells. Flies in room on arrival.
At check in was told meals are served in the bar until 845pm. At 630pm we made our way to the bar to have dinner, no one to greet us at entrance, after 5 minutes we were ushered in by manager who took us to the back room, pointed at a table for us to sit at in the corner. On approach we see it is loaded with neighbouring table’s rubbish. They take it back. Manager comes to ‘clean table’ ie wipe it with strong smelling wet cloth. No one asks us if we want a drink. We wait. 10 minutes later a very junior member of staff cleared the neighbouring table and mentioned apologetically that there is at least 30 minutes wait for food ‘because of the beer garden’ we leave and drive 8 miles to a supermarket to get snacks. Disappointed especially when we had checked the menu in the afternoon.
Breakfast- very small bowl of porridge. Lots of cereals but only 1 big bowl of fruit salad. Poached egg tasted of vinegar. Coffee tasted like a bad blend.
A grand facade with lingering bad smells in need of carpet shampooing, air conditioning and new showers.

Lovely staff, great stay
Pros:

The staff were warm, welcoming and professional. They helped out our other family staying nearby when a water outage occurred. They were so helpful and kind.

Cons:

Need to get a taxi to other locations but this is a minor point as the taxis are reasonably priced and regular.
