Hotel Galaxias

Personel güler yüzlü ancak şehir merkezine yürüme mesafesinde falan değil. Yorumlarda böyle yazıyor ancak alakası yok. Taksi çağırmak zorunda kaldım. Odalar küçük ve dar çift yatak olarak işaretlememe rağmen duble yatak vardı. Otel temiz ve izole. Pansiyon tarzı otel konforu beklemeyin. Kahvaltı vs yok. Ama çok yardımcı oluyorlar . Çalışanlar çok güler yüzlü. Temiz bir konaklama yeri.

The room was clean and furnished well with a range of facilities including the bonus of having a safe to store valuables. The bathroom and shower were also very good. The bed was comfortable and the cleaners made sure the room was clean every day.

Personale estremamente cordiale e professionale. Lo staff della reception si è mostrato molto disponibile nel soddisfare ogni nostra esigenza e l’addetto al bar è stato sempre particolarmente cortese.

La stanza era pulitissima. La ragazza che mi ha accolto è stata estremamente gentile. Stanza molto grande con bagno privato. A 5 minuti dal centro !

Nice service, clean and cozy

We booked this hotel due to its location and it did not disappoint, as the location was perfect for us.

Facilities
Our room was situated on the 3rd floor and there was a lift. The room smelt very fresh and clean when we walked in. It was extremely clean and looked well maintained. We had a room with a balcony and if you leaned out you could just about see the sea. As the room looked out over a main road it was very noisy at times, but we love people watching so it was great for us. However, though the windows do help minimise the noise, if you are a light sleeper you may wish to request a room at the back of the hotel as the road noise doesn't die down until about 11.30am. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels left.

The entrance and reception area was also very clean. The staff were very friendly and even gave us a bottle of wine as we were there celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. It was a really lovely touch.

We were room only, so cannot comment on breakfast. Though the restaurant looked very nice when I popped my head in. They have a lounge area which is very chic, and also an outside garden area. They allowed us to store our cases, but as it was only a very small store room, in high season it may not be possible.

Across the road was a coffee bar, so great to pop over to and grab a coffee/tea as there was no kettle in the room. There was a fridge, which had a freezer compartment so great for freezing our water ready for the next day, so we had ice cold water all day.

Location
The hotel is located approximately 25 to 30 mins walk from old town and the nearest beach. Though when chatting and walking it doesn't feel that long. There are lots of local restaurants near, and these were very authentic (locals ate in them) and very reasonable compared to eating in the old town. We loved being in the heart of where local people live and worked, so the hotel was perfect for us. If you want a pool, 5 minute walk to the beach and all inclusive, this is not the hotel for you. If you just want a clean bed, nice staff and close walking distance to local tavernas and restaurants then this is the hotel for you.

Η τοποθεσία ήταν οκ, καθώς ήταν κοντά στο Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου στο οποίο είχα μεταβεί για εκπαιδευτικό συνέδριο. Όλο το προσωπικό ήταν ευεγενέστατο και πολύ φιλικό πρόθυμο να σε εξυπηρετήσει.

Очень уютный отель. Отдыхали вдвоем с супругом и нам было очень комфортно. В пешей доступности от Старого города Родоса, от пляжа. Прекрасные завтраки. Персонал очень доброжелательный и вежливый.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff are really friendly and helpful and very kind and understanding. The room was clean with good air conditioning. We stayed on a room only basis but when one morning a storm hit and we couldn't leave the hotel they were happy to make us up toasted sandwiches. The bottle of wine for our anniversary was a lovely touch. There are several coffee shops very close by and it is an easy and pleasant walk to the old town and to bus stops for the rest of the island.
