Lambrose was the best host !!

The room was comfortable and very convenient to the port which was ideal for me as I had to catch a ferry the next day. The best thing about the guest house was the hospitality of the host, zeta, I think her name was. She was very friendly and helpful and made my stay there very enjoyable and comfortable.

We had a lovely stay at Villa Mata. The woman was very welcoming and put our bags in the room for us ready for check in. The room was very nice and the decoration around the villa made it feel very homely and lovely. Would definitely stay again.

This property was wonderful and the owner is so kind and helpful. It's like a 5 minute walk from both the beach and the bus stop to other towns, and is only like 8 minutes away from the port. I had a wonderful stay, and the whole property is so pretty and scenic.

Absolutely fantastic view and great facilities - if you haven’t prepared a car or scooter rental be prepared for a challenging walk! Definitely worth it though, I would stay here in a heartbeat

Villa Mata is fantastic place to stay in if you are travelling to Ios. The villa itself is beautiful, surrounded by a fruitful garden and a quick walk to the beach (~1 minute). Also it is very close to the port, a supermarket and Chora. Lambros was extremely kind and always ensured we had what we needed. We will definitely be back 🇨🇦

The owner was very kind, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel itself is adorably quaint, but at the end of a large gravel lot. It’s a convenient walk to the port and walk (or bus) up to the Chora. The air conditioner didn’t work very well and the twin beds were uncomfortable. Overall a pleasant stay!

Had an absolute terrific stay. The host was very friendly and helpful. Location was ideal only 1 minute walk to beach and restaurants. Highly recommend staying here!!

Villa Mata was one of the nicest places to stay in Ios. With a unique decorating style and a beautiful quiet garden we enjoyed our time there. Lambros and his family were very friendly and helpful with tips of the island. Very highly recommended and Ios is amazing with it's natural beauty!!

Right by the ferry port but also tucked away in a location that is private. Also easily accessible shops and dining.

Great spot just steps from the beach! Property is great with a green area in between the two buildings. Close to all that you need on Ios

We got excellent directions on how to get there from the host which is only 3 mins walk from the harbor. He is also on site most of the day and night if you need information or a chat.The apartments are traditional rather than modern set in well maintained gardens. There is also an outdoor communal kitchen and BBQ area which sadly we didn't get time to use. Would definitely recommend staying here and hope to be back soon.

Villa Mata is fabulous, great location, beautiful gardens (including the outdoor kitchen which is great and stocked with everything you need - pans, plates, utensils etc.), clean and comfortable rooms and of course the wonderful Lambros to help with anything you need and to have some good football chat with too! 2 minute walk to the beach, 5 minutes to the port, it couldn't be handier, the port area has lots of bars and tavernas and from here you can walk up to the Chora.

great place, far out from main town and beach. close to another beach near the port, many restaurants and bars nearby. bus to the town nearby. room was cleaned daily. owner was very friendly

The place is just amazing. It is nice to feel welcome and get a service with a smile. Location is very good, only 5 minutes walk from the port where you'd catch the ferry, just at the edge of Yialos Beach. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Would definitely stay again!
