Truly awful! If you want to stay the night in a sweltering, fly infested , delapitated building, then come here. It’s such a terrible shame as there is so much potential, beautiful location which is ruined. I feel sorry for the horses

Eine besondere Unterkunft mitten in schöner Natur. Nahe zu Pisa. Das besondere Flair auf der Ranch hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Bon hotel en rapport qualité prix. Manque la climatisation dans les chambres.
Pas très loin de la Tour de pise en voiture.

Worst place I stayed in Italy. I wouldn't call it a Hotel, looked more like an unused building with an interesting history. It is in a very remote area with no transport facilities. One has to rely on taxi or cycles! It had bed and shower facilities, that's all. No restaurants, cafe or shops nearby. There was a very old looking broken drinks machine. Felt like the owner made no effort to make it look appealing to customers. Very disappointed.

In case You explore Tuscany with a car, perfect place to stay with fairy tale surroundings. The room was clean, and stuff friendly. The restaurant was excellent! In a couple of days ( we were four people) we tried a lot of dishes, and all of them were really good. Everything on the correct price. We can only recommend their wine too. Definitely a place to return. Well done La Sterpaia, thank you, especially for the waiters and cooks!

E’ una foresteria nel parco, ottima per chi fa trekking, ma molto essenziale in tutto. Molto pulita, le porte si chiudono con difficoltà e la notte molti rumori di altri avventori che tentavano di aprire o chiudere la porta

We booked as a B&B as a base to explore Tuscany. It was a great choice but you do need a hire car.

Located 20 mins from airport it’s convenient for arrival but really quiet. You are literally 10mins drive from the Leaning Tower and Pisa attractions, and only 15mins from motorway for other Tuscany attractions.

The room was clean and had what we needed, Wi-Fi, comfy beds, fridge and fans. Breakfast was a continental buffet and was fine, staff lovely and friendly and water hot and plentiful.

No idea what many complaints on here are on about, great location!

Aveva qualcosa di misterioso, di antico e ci si immerge nella natura incontaminata.

The only thing nice is the natural park … we left to another hotel. They gave as a room near the reception, where the wifi (which is not good) works a little better, which makes everybody sit with the Phone outside our room (and not 1 or 2 people but awhole Class or Big groups 15 people) which gave no privacy at all and no conditioner Air so we needed to of course open the door for Air (very hot in the room) which means all the time that constant people outside was almost like to have Them in your room… I Think is a place to take a Class or a School and enjoy the Nature around…I wouldn’t Call it a hotel… by the Way also rest of paper and plastic under the bed, so makes me wonder about the cleaning of the room.

Posto bello e rilassanti circondato dalla natura

La località è molto bella, peccato che la manutenzione del parco e delle attrezzature sia carente.
La stanza aveva le imposte rotte.
Il personale al check-in non era motivato e professionale, quello alla colazione molto peggio.

Location molto bella e particolare, un po’ spartana ma in mezzo al bosco, con possibilità di andare a cavallo, nel silenzio e a 5 minuti da Pisa.

Posto perfetto per chi vuole rimanere immerso nella natura, lo consiglio!!

l'hotel si trova in un bellissimo parco immerso nel verde il servizio scarso sara' per il periodo covid che stiamo attraversando le stanze abbastanza spaziose il bagno lascia a desiderare

Jeder Reiter wird sich hier wohlfühlen. Zum ausreiten ein Paradies. Frühstück und Abendessen gut.Bei den Zimmern lieber nichts erwarten. Nichts für Schicki Micki.

The hotel was set up in the old stables of the once Royal (and later, presidential) estate in which it is located.

Rooms are neat and very well kept, but really (really!) basic: an open wardrobe with only shelves and a pole (Why no doors? Who knows!), a ridiculous 20" screen tv, a minuscule bathroom, a vending machine with water and coffee by the entrance. That is it. No other comfort.

Despite that, the place DOES prove worth the visit, for many reasons.
The location is really unique and breathtaking: you are inside the National park of San Rossore, at the heart of a huge, pristine coastal pine wood that includes wet areas, an untouched wild coastline, the presidential retreat if villa Gombo. You can literally walk for days.
The restaurant by the hotel is excellent: crowded at lunch, you will be happy to be with the few guests of the hotel to be there for dinner.
And, you are 15 minutes away from Pisa!
