Great location, minimal facilities
Pros:

Great location, just minutes from Leitzeplein and museums. Very pleasant area off busy streets and facing Vondelpark. Basic but just enough amenities for a short stay, good triple room options. Staff is friendly. We will return when visiting Amsterdam.

Cons:

Safe box in the room did not work as it was out of battery (we booked 2 rooms, both the same). We reported this immediately, were told they will put a new battery straight away, but it did not happen during our 3 days stay. Had to carry our valuables the whole time in Amsterdam which was inconvenient.

Shower has less than half screen so the water gets splashed despite all efforts, resulting in wet floors all over the bathroom after the whole family showered.

Pros:

I love a bit of outdoor space so this is perfect for me with doors to a bit of a patio both front and back of the room. Super close to Vondelpark. Nice bathroom and a nice welcome from the reception on my late arrival. Once again, apologies for disturbing your meal, which smelled amazing.

Cons:

It’s probably me looking behind the surface but when I in packed I accidentally dropped some socks behind the cupboard. When I realised I could retrieve the socks by tilting it forward I found the space behind absolutely filthy with dust and cobwebs. I’d booked 2 nights but left after 1 as I have Asthma and this would cause issues.

Grim little hotel - would not recommend
Pros:

This hotel is very well located. That is basically the only positive thing about it. It was less expensive than other hotels (although like Amsterdam it is not cheap), however, in terms of value for money is worse, because this place is terrible.

Cons:

This place is a horrible grim little hotel. Do not book unless you have to. The staff at times were rude in how they interacted, almost as though they did not wish to be there. The standard of maintenance/cleanliness in the communal areas was poor. The outside had a broken tree, that they removed, and it then turned into a cigarette bin, the carpets and walls in the communal areas are stained everywhere.

The hotel was incredibly noisy in my room. People were shouting and banging up the stairs at 3am in the morning, not ideal.

The room was poor too. wifi was so weak, it was unusable. Wall stained, the toilet button semi functional, the furniture worn and in need of replacement. The window had not thin sheer curtain, so you had a choice, be in a gloomy barely lit room (bulbs terrible) or let everyone sitting outside see you. Water pressure, very poor so a lousy shower. The mattress was about an inch think (no this wasn't a topper, this was what was on the bed frame), so not a comfortable nights sleep either.

Someone needs to take over this hotel, gut it, and renovate it. There is so much potential.

Convenient, comfortable and good value.
Pros:

There was no breakfast. Should provide pillows not cushions. No milk, coffee or tea provided. Draught from windows. Extraction fan in the ensuite not working.
Enjoyed our stay.
