Atlantica Yakinthos

We have stayed at the Yakinthos at least 6 times over the last 20 years. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk to a lovely sandy beach and numerous restaurants. Lovely pool area. There is a bus stop nearby No 21 frequent bus service to Chania town. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is showing some signs of age but this is reflected in the price and the location makes up for it.
The rooms facing the road can be noisy from the traffic so I would recommend booking a pool or garden view room.

Déjeuner frais et varié chaque matin, a 2 pas de la Plage, Piscine impeccable. Personnel tres courtois et a l'écoute de nos besoins.

Christos was very friendly and accommodating for us throughout our stay. He called taxis for us, gave us recommendations for places to eat in Old Town and gave us extra towels.

The main chef cooked well and we loved the free breakfast. He was attentive whenever any of the food or drinks were low.

Pool and beach access were the best part. Pool is right there and had many shaded spots. Walking to the beach takes less than 2 minutes.

Whether you’re walking to a restaurant on the beach or on the street, it is quick and safe.

Great location close to beach and action

We only stayed one night here. Wish we had booked more to explore surrounding area more. We will definitely be heading back to Crete, and we would definitely consider staying here for a longer stay.

Wir waren 12 Tage im Juli als älteres Paar Gäste im Yakinthos und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Schon im Vorfeld war die Kommunikation extrem hilfreich und freundlich. Wir haben den Transfer vom Flughafen schon durch das Hotel gebucht. Unsere Zimmerwünsche wurden berücksichtigt und auch Reparaturen im Zimmer sofort nach Beanstandung durchgeführt. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sehr zweckmäßig eingerichtet mit ausreichend Platz für Kleidung, Koffer, etc. Die Betten waren mit guten Matratzen ausgestattet.

Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit beim Buchen von Ausflügen und gab uns darüberhinaus auch gute Tipps. Die Lage des Hotels so nah am Meer ist toll, der Strand ist vom sehr sauberen Pool nur 2 Minuten zu Fuß :-). In direkter Umgebung gibt es einen Supermarkt, ein süßes Café und sehr gute Restaurants. Die Bushaltestelle nach Chania ist auch quasi direkt vorm Hotel. Bequemer geht’s nicht.

Insgesamt ist es ein sehr gutes kleines Hotel, das mit viel Liebe geführt wird.

Lediglich das immer aussetzende WLAN im Zimmer und das immer gleiche (aber absolut ausreichende) Frühstücksbuffet wären ein Verbesserungspunkt.

Volle Empfehlung für Reisende, die ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis schätzen und keinen extra Luxus brauchen, um sich wohl zu fühlen. Wir kommen wieder und sagen herzlich Danke an das Hotel-Personal für einen tollen Kreta-Aufenthalt! ❤️

El alojamiento esta bien sin muchas pretensiones. pero cerca de una muy buena playa de Agli Apostoli, a la cual pudimos llegar andando en 5 minutos.... el desayuno algo pobre.

The staff were very kind, upgrading me to a room where I could see the ocean. They were also helpful whenever I needed the support or directions. Breakfast was great, offering several options. Close to a beautiful beach. Overall, a great experience in Chania.

Το aircondision δεν αποδεδιδε σχεδόν καθόλου, μετα την σχετική παρατήρηση στο reception, μας είπαν να το έχουμε συνέχεια ανοιχτό αλλά χωρίς ιδιαίτερη διαφορά, η ζέστη στο δωματιο ήταν αρκετή.

Trevligt

The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, staff are very friendly and accomodating, always working to please. Beach is down the street and has a public beach so we didnt need to rent chairs and umbrella. We rented a car and were able to park it at the hotel. Taxi to city center is 15 euros and there is also a bus that stops in front of hotel and costs 1.50 euro. Breakfast at the hotel is plentiful. For dinner there are also nearby restaurants with delicious food and reasonable pricing (Piato was a favorite). The corner shop has everything you might need and is not a rip off ( large bottle of water .70 cents). There also a Lidl within 5 minute walk. It was great to be just outside the city and avoid crowds but close enough to go to city center within 10 minnutes. We will stay here again when we return to Chania.

Amazing place

Had an amazing time at the hotel. The rooms were very nice with great furnishings and bathrooms. All the staff were friendly and very helpful, in particular the chef during the week. The property is also in an excellent location, 2 minutes from the beach. We had a great time and would recommend to anyone to stay here!

Hotelli on lähellä hyviä rantoja. Supermarket ihan vieressä ja hyvät bussiyhteydet esim. Haniaan hotellin edustalla kulkevan tien varrella. Tilava perhehuone 5: lle hengelle. Aamupala oli hyvä. Auttavainen ja mkava henkilökunta. Hinta-laatusuhde todella hyvä! Vähän miinusta siitä, että saharan hiekkapilvi laskeutui sateen mukana myös hotellin alueelle. Siivouset todella hidasta, esimerkiksi vielä iltapäivällä allasalueelle ei oltu tehty muuta, kuin viety hiekkaiset aurinkopetien patjat pois. Laatoitus edelleen hiekan peitossa joka puolella jne. Luonnonolot toki aina yllättävät. Tulisimme kyllä uudelleenkin!

It was my 2nd time at Yakinthos hotel and I was not disappointed. Staff is extremely nice, delicious breakfast and only 2mins walking to the beach. Pool is great. There is a bus stop just across the road that will take you to the city centre in less than 20mins. Room was very comfortable and clean. I loved it!

Muito boa a localização do hotel. Cinquenta metros da praia, que é muito boa, água cristalina e mais quente que outras praias de Creta. Banho bom, toalhas ótimas, roupa de cama tb muito boa. Travesseiros um pouco altos e rígidos. Pedi para trocar mas não fui atendido. Pessoal do check in excepcional, ótimo atendimento. Estacionamento incluído e fácil. O que precisa melhorar, é muito, e o café da manhã. Bem fraco
