Ok for 1 night
Pros:

Got to iquitos by boat from leticia, need a room for the night before our flight early next morning. Hotel is good, hot water , air con, swimmingpool. Bit run down, staff were friendly. Dodgy area especially if you don't speak Spanish. A bit pricey for the location! Wifi non existant!

Nice enough place, let down by lousy service
Pros:

Our stay at La Posada de Lobo did not start out well. They lost our reservation and failed to send a driver to pick us up from the airport. After 37 hours of traveling, the last thing we wanted were additional delays and stress. The room was fine, but the traffic outside made it difficult to sleep. The pool was nice, but the 'buffet breakfast' consisted of plain toast, over-ripe fruit and cold coffee. To top it off, they overcharged us. I was too tired to argue in broken Spanish over a few quid, so we just let it go.

Perfect for the price
Pros:

For the price you pay this is the place to stay, close to everything and quiet. Front desk spoke great english and were every helpful. I would have rated them higher except we tried to eat dinner there one night and they had no food, (slow season maybe?), they brought us a menu and then said that they only had chicken and rice (turned out to be pretty good, but a little disappointing), the pool is a nice touch and it felt like heaven after spending a week camping in the jungle. I would stay here again. Thanks
