Grand Ambassador Santorini Hotel

Excellent staff and great scenery

This is our second visit to the Ambassador and we look forward to the next time. The resort is gorgeous with wonderful accommodations and spectacular views. The pool on the terrace is a fabulous perk. Walking distance to Akrotiri with great restaurants. Concierge Pepi is a jewel and booked wonderful excursions

Simply amazing views and beautiful property. We booked a 2 bedroom villa, it was nice but the layout didn't work for us so the manager moved us to another villa with no stairs and it was perfect. The staff was very nice and helpful. The best part was the location, it is located in the south part of the island away from the busy tourist hubs of Fira and Oia but still close to many wonderful restaurants and attractions. The included breakfast was also great with good options.

This property is beyond Iconic. Such close proximity to all tourist attractions, yet providing; privacy, luxury, exclusivity, the best sunsets and a complete 5 diamond resort attraction. A ‘must stay’ for tourist that look for privacy, exclusivity, top dining experience, close proximity to all attractions, safety, security.

This resort and staff and the experience a 12 out of 10. A true 5 diamond resort/stay.

The service of the reataurant is very slow

While the service in the restaurant was very good, the value was not, very over priced. Cushions on terrace were extremely dirty. Bathroom tub/shower could use updating. Nice location.

I would have given this hotel 5 stars if not for the food quality and the behavior of the manager, Antonis. The hotel itself is stunning, with superb views. We stayed in a three-room suite with a private pool, and the view from our room was truly spectacular.

I want to give special thanks to Eleftheria for her excellent service and to Pepi for her helpful recommendations and for arranging our reservations. However, I must express concern about the manager, Antonis. His lack of professionalism, communication, and managerial skills are a detriment to the hotel’s reputation. It’s unclear how someone with such poor interpersonal abilities was hired for this position.

Additionally, the food at the hotel was truly awful—shockingly bad. I strongly recommend that guests plan to eat elsewhere or make alternate arrangements, as the dining experience was far below expectations.

Beautiful property and comfortable. Only complaint is the pool was too cold to swim in so it was a waste of extra money.

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Ambassador hotel for 6 days, we came for our honeymoon.
We had an amazing time, the service and staff is absolutely incredible. The property is secluded and away from Thira and Oia, which are the tourists areas. If you want to save money on transportation rent a car or an ATV. Just know there is not a lot in this area for beaches, or food options, there is a nice Cafe in Akrothiri.

Their breakfast is delicious, the staff is very kind and willing to please, Pepi is the main concierge and will literally help you in every way, she is amazing. This was a great place for us to experience Santorini.

My son hurt his toe due a sharp tile in the pool,we had to take him to the hospital and end up with four stitches, that happened in our first day from the vacation witch ruined our trip to Greece.
Hotel paid for his medication but they never asked after we left, how's he doing.

Service was brilliant but facilities very average for a 5 star hotel

My stay was absolutely amazing. I had amazing views from my room, and the pool felt amazing. The staff was very nice, courteous and attentive to all my needs. The birthday decorations they added to my room was beautiful.

Breakfast and dinner aren't good.

***Note - this is not on the tourist part of the island. If you are wanting a more secluded and quiet experience, this is the place for you. Everyone is lovely, room was impeccable, and all of my tour events picked me up from there without issue. The sunset views over the water were breathtaking.

This place was absolutely magical. I took my wife here for our 25th anniversary and we were not disappointed. The staff was so attentive to anything and everything. The really gave you a "personalized" experience, meaning everyone we interacted with seem to know who we were and our preferences.

The restaurant and drinks were great and convenient. The breakfast was solid and all you wanted to order.

The room was in tip top shape down to the last detail. Clean, comfortable and cool. The infinity pool was legendary and so nice to relax in. This property is farther away from town, but that seclusion makes for a very restful time. Still convenient to a little market and town. Getting transportation was never an issue either, whether through uber or having the hotel arrange.

Nothing bad to say about this other than it is a hike to your room in a steep catacomb style tunnel, so if you are older, ask for a room not so low on the hill.

10 out of 10 time/experience. Would definitely do this property again and again!

Beautiful view, staff very friendly and helpful

No mention of walking down numerous stairs/ ramp in their website, I hit my head 3 times walking up the stairs in the tunnel, no warning signs to “watch your head” posted. TV had a mind of its own, was switched out twice and after the owner came down to see, it still didn’t work, turned on and off on its own.

Bathrooms were outdated and dingy and the food selection for all menus were mediocre. Need more options. The day we left it rained and water started to come into room and the door by our pool kept on opening. This should be secured as anyone could’ve walked in and looked into our room if we had the windows opened.

Great staff, great/ breathtaking views.

I paid way too much for this experience.
