Pela Maria Hotel

Location quite good. This is only one positive aspect. Reception women are totally not frindly. Bar tenders, cleaning service, restaurant service are OK. Room with old furniture from 1990 or older. Bathroom very small and WITHOUT any ventilation, without el. sockets. Shower sink very small. Water permanently gone on the floor. Balony do small that 2 persons can't use it together. Meals always the same. Hotel wants money for everything event for change beach towels. Very high price for this hotel. Neighbour hotels with same standard are cheapest. I you can try to avoid this ugły hotel

Awful! Do not accept a room by the reception the door to the rooms are not noise friendly you can hear the reception staff talking to guests and talking to staff as they are leaving and they are talking loudly and laughing at all hours of the night until early morning I've come home feeling very tired after barely any sleep I bought a pair of ear defenders but I could still hear the loud talking and laughing from the reception staff!
The shower has to be the smallest shower cubicle I have ever seen I'm a size 10 and I couldn't turn round in there.the pool area is too small to accommodate the amount of guests and there's barely any sun that hits the pool ..your lucky to get an hours sunbathing in.
The same issue in the dinner hall ts too small to accommodate the amount of guests I saw people get plates of food and were stood looking for a table it made us feel like we had to rush our food so others could have a seat to eat..that was if we found food we wanted nothing is labelled up so you have to guess what it is..nothing is hot or even kept warm No microwave to warm your food up ..First hotel I've been In that there's no toaster at breakfast..the all inclusive snacks in the day were a tray of ham and cheese sandwiches and a small tray of pastries.
The staff that work the bar and restaurant area work hard and always friendly always smiling.
The noise from the reception throughtout the night spoilt our holiday I should feel rested after a holiday i feel tired drained and wish I had booked another hotel because of lack of sleep.id expect guests to be noisy not staff ..the guests were respectful.

Was given a room right by the reception. Constant shouting and screaming. The room was acceptable but the bathroom was terrible, especially the shower! You couldn't turn around in it i think the size was approx 600mm square. The food was pretty bad especially night time where leftovers from lunch were mixed with the rice. Everything tasted the same. Wouldn't recommend

I had a pleasant time at this hotel. I really liked that it is located very close to the sea and various beaches. The food with the all-inclusive option was also quite good, the staff were friendly, and it was convenient that the bus stop is right next to the hotel, so there should be no problems getting a bus from the airport.

Disappointing Stay – Worth Only 1 Star
The hotel is located right in the city center. However, right outside the entrance is a bar that gets extremely noisy at night, making it very difficult to sleep. The room door was just a basic interior-style door with no soundproofing at all.

There was also a guest (or resident) staying in the room next to mine who would shout and party loudly from midnight until 4 AM. This went on for four nights, keeping me awake for most of my stay. When I reported it to the manager and asked to change rooms, they refused and told me that my room could not be changed.

The toilet paper provided was the cheapest single-ply type—not what you'd expect from a 3-star hotel.
Our room didn’t match the photos shown online. There was no proper balcony—just a small one overlooking a neighboring rooftop. To make matters worse, while the air conditioning worked, it started leaking water at some point during the stay.
The food was disappointing overall. There were no labels to tell you what you were eating, and the exact same dishes were served every day during my 7-day stay. I quickly got tired of the food and found myself counting down the days until I could check out.
The pool area was dirty, and after 7 PM, swimming was no longer allowed. On the plus side, there were enough sunbeds available.
We paid €35 for the tourist tax and checked in upon arrival. Housekeeping would bang on the door at 9:00 AM every morning to clean the room. If you want to avoid this, make sure to put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door.
The staff were generally polite, but a few were quite rude—especially the lady at the reception in the mornings. She was not friendly at all.
Overall I wouldn’t let my worst enemy stay in this hotel.

Die Personal ist sehr net, Zimmer ist regelmäßig geputzt, Essen war sehr lecker. Gute lage, in der Nacht sei ruhig.Busstation ist neben Hotel. In 5 Minuten ist kleine Strand und sehr vielen schönen Restorant mit wunderbaren Aussicht am Meer.

I stayed 10 days at this hotel with my child, and honestly, it doesn’t even deserve one star. This is by far my worst hotel experience ever!
We arrived late in the evening, around 9 p.m., just as the restaurant was about to close. At the reception, the young receptionist was not only unpleasant but also arrogant and forced me to go withdraw cash to pay the city tax, even though I was alone with my child at that late hour and we were hungry.

But the worst was yet to come… The rooms are old, dirty, and smell bad. When I checked the beds, I found dirt, hair, and even food crumbs on mattresses with no protection at all (no mattress cover). The bathroom is tiny, and the shower with its filthy curtain was simply disgusting. I had to buy cleaning products myself to clean the room every single day of my stay.

The first night, I had the horrible surprise of finding a crushed bedbug on my pillow!!! Shocked, I went down to the reception in tears to ask for a room change. Luckily, Katarina was kind and helped me, but I still had to move all my belongings in the middle of the night.

As for the food, it was inedible: no labeling, sometimes cold, and with no protection. The dining room is way too small, and the staff who serve are the same ones cleaning the rooms or even the receptionist.

Honestly, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It should be closed due to serious hygiene and safety issues. Despite its strategic location, it completely ruined our long-awaited vacation.

P.S- The pictures shown in the ads are completely misleading and do not reflect reality !!!

Sehr gute Unterkunft

The room was nice and clean, with a great view, the food was tasty and the staff polite. The location is good, right in the center of Hersonnisos

Nous avons passé un séjour plutôt agréable au Pela Maria en Crète. Le gros point fort de l’hôtel, c’est clairement son personnel : toujours aux petits soins du matin au soir. Un grand merci en particulier à Olga pour sa gentillesse, ainsi qu’à toutes les filles du bar et de la cuisine qui ont été adorables avec nous.

En revanche, il faut noter quelques bémols :
• l’hôtel n’a pas de plage privée, et aux alentours il y a surtout des beach clubs, donc cela peut représenter un coût supplémentaire à prévoir ;
• les chambres sont assez petites et un peu vieillottes, une rénovation serait vraiment la bienvenue ;
• la piscine est également petite, ce qui fait qu’il n’y a pas de place pour tout le monde en même temps.

Cela dit, pour le prix payé en plein mois d’août (environ 860€ par personne vol + hôtel), ça reste très correct et raisonnable pour la saison.

En résumé : un hôtel simple mais chaleureux, idéal si vous cherchez un bon rapport qualité/prix et une équipe aux petits soins.

We stayed a few days with my family in pela maria hotel in chersonisos .The hotel it was very clean .The location it was wonderful ,the pela maria hotel was quiet and safe with a lot of cameras in all building. The hospitality in pela maria hotel is real a different and a high level .Yiannis and his staff they really have study around of hospitality .I recommend pela maria hotel 100 % it is 4 star hotel and more .The holidays in chersonisos have only one name Pela maria hotel The holidays in hotel pela maria is high level

Very friendly staff. We had a lovely time at this hotel during our stay in Crete. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the staff cleaned the rooms frequently.

Good food, friendly service and a quiet hotel. Very close to the sea. There are plenty of souvenir shops and markets nearby. 😊

EXTREMELY BAD EXPERIENCE.
This was are first holiday in years and we was so excited to go pela Maria hotel as the pictures looked amazing .but when we got there o boy was we in for a shock the room was so small .the shower was the size of a matchbox I could only shower with one leg in and one leg out .the food was the worst I had ever eaten everything tasted the same no toast.beens .bacon or sausage .and I am not quite sure what the nuggets were but they definitely wasn’t chicken .the bar had no cocktails.or vodka.only ouzo or rikl and a local lager.the pool was dirty to the point a cockroach committed suicide in it .the staff was polite and it was cleaned when asked but the constant showing by guests was the last straw for me so for this reasons listed above I won’t be recommending this hotel to my worst enemy avoid at all costs

The worst all inclusive hotel we stayed at. The room was very basic as expected so this wasn't an issue. Although after 2 days we were asked to change a room due the issue with aircon. As far as we were aware there was no issue. The next day a new family was acommodated in the same. We absolutely didn't mind swapping the room but we didn't like the way we were approached about it. The cleaners are very loud from 6.30am every day, talking loud and slaming doors, so you can't get sleep in at all. The food was awful, repetitive and no toasts. Drinks are very basic, no cocktails available at all. On the day of the check out they removed our all inclusive wrist bands at 11am so we couldn't even had a free drink, bare in mind aur pick up time was 18:30pm. No changing/shower room to fresh up. The lady at the reception wasn't the nicest either. Honestly, I never leave the reviews but want to pre-warn people. Avoid at all cost. The worst experience ever. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Hersonissos is a beautiful place but it's a shame about the hotel.

Most disgusting experience in my life as a traveller.
The food was cheap and of the worst quality, the room very small, the shower had a curtain and on the balcony was almost impossible to sit in two because of the small dimensions.
We decided to leave after three days because of the persistent presence of cockroaches in: common areas, even below the bar counter, room and corridors; we tried to bring up this problem with the owner that gaslighted me telling me those were flies (even in front of the evidence of the videos I took). We ask for even a small refund that was denied. Knowing that most likely my review will be deleted (like many other negative ones) I decided to file an official complaint to the health authorities. Cockroaches were the last drop of a nightmare experience, they bring severe diseases and they are the synonym of deep neglect and dirt. Save your money and sleep in a car instead, it'll be worthier for sure.

First at this hotel and i have to say That we had an amazing experience. The food was delicious with a big variety every day .The staff was amazing .I want to Thanks for the help the Manager Jannis, Konstantina at the reception and Jianna at the Restaurant!!!

Stayed in room 429 on the street front, had no issues sleeping or with the noise.

All of the staff are attentive, friendly and cant’t do enough for you.

The food is hot and Cooked traditional Greek style. (Feta is exceptional).

All inclusive drinks readily available served by the friendly team. Beer is very good for AI.

Excellent value for money for the great price we paid!
