Hotel Casa San Agustin

One of the most exceptional hotel stays I have experienced. Having stayed at some of the highest rated hotels across the world including many Leading Hotels of the World, I can say without hesitation that this is in the highest tier, and may be the best hotel I have ever stayed at.

With respect of the hotel itself, it is absolutely beautiful. Understated luxury at its finest. A beautiful, historic, charming, and truly special place to spend your time in Cartagena. Very romantic but also friendly to families. From the Frette linens, to the Ortigia bath products, everything is truly of the highest quality with incredible attention to detail. The hotel is located in the ideal part of the old town, on a quieter block. We went for a ride on the complimentary bikes as well which is an amazing way to explore the town.

The included breakfast at Alma is phenomenal - we unfortunately did not have time to enjoy dinner there, but imagine that the quality is just as impressive. The second floor honour bar with daily complimentary tea time and snacks is a very nice touch.

The service however is what makes this hotel truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out, Kathrine, Stefani, Jaime, Nelson, Dagmar, Yanelis, Carlos, and the rest of the front desk and staff took care of our every need and more. The service here is truly refined - always one step ahead, anticipating not only what we might need but thinking of ways to make our experience special. Whenever something came up - a question or a request - they went above and beyond.

The housekeeping staff - Lili, Diocelin, Milaidis, Juana, Monica, Katia - are also incredible. Our room was always presented in the most beautiful and pristine condition.

This was a beautiful hotel, with excepetional service. The staff went above and beyond with every interaction to make sure I had what I needed. The food was excellent. The room was perfect with a lovely balcony and comfortable bedding.

Una estancia fantástica. Desde el primer momento recibimos un trato excepcional y el equipo hizo todo lo posible para que nos sintiéramos cómodas y disfrutáramos al máximo de nuestra estancia. Tuvimos un pequeño inconveniente al llegar y la respuesta del hotel fue impecable, buscando en todo momento la mejor solución para nosotras y cuidando cada detalle después.
Nos sorprendieron con una cesta de frutas, vino y otros detalles que hicieron que nos sintiéramos realmente especiales. La atención, la amabilidad y la profesionalidad de todo el equipo han sido de diez.
Mención especial para Katherine, responsable de Operaciones, que ha sido fantástica: cercana, atenta y pendiente de todo en todo momento.
Sin duda, un hotel al que volveríamos y que recomendamos totalmente. ¡Gracias por hacer nuestra estancia tan agradable!

We have stayed at several small luxury boutique hotels and this property really exceeded our expectations. The staff were so kind and helpful at every turn. The property is stunning, and our room was incredibly comfortable. I would highly recommend this stay for your visit to Cartagena!

Excellent experience. The hotel is beautiful and well situated inside the old walled city. The staff are friendly and welcoming, doing everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. They are quite helpful in arranging transportation and excursions. The day trip to Acasi is well worth it. We did the private boat option with a tour around the islands and it was amazing. The included breakfast is amazing. Our son still asks for the arepa de huevo. Highly recommended.

Este es uno de los mejores hoteles de Cartagena. Decorado con mucho gusto, con amplias habitaciones y comida deliciosa, la atención de todo el personal es sobresaliente: se preocupan por resolver cualquier necesidad. Es un pequeño oasis dentro de la ciudad amurallada. Cada detalle está pensado cuidadosamente, la zona de la piscina es divina.

What a stunning hotel. I cannot recommend enough. Perfectly located, quiet, elegant, with countless personnel touches and an attentive and outstanding crew of staff. The breakfast was beautiful. Go!!

From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The location is simply perfect, right in the beautiful historic centre. The decoration is elegant, authentic, and full of charm, creating a unique atmosphere throughout the hotel.
The comfort of the bed deserves a special mention : it was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in!
What made my stay truly unforgettable, however, was the incredible staff. Every single person was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. A very special thank you to Estefany, who was an absolute angel throughout my stay. Her kindness, professionalism, and beautiful smile made me feel truly at home.

My husband and I spent two nights at Casa San Agustin and we would, without a doubt, recommend this hotel to anyone hoping to spend some magical days and evenings in Cartagena's stunning old city. Everything about the hotel was magical from the building itself, to the stunning spacious rooms, the beautiful and delicious restraurant where we ate breakfast both days. The staff was also so accomodating and lovely. Everyone was wonderful from the front desk (Katherine) to Diojelin, Juana, Katia, Liliana, Stefani, Jamie and Yeim. Thank you for this memorable experience. It was magic.

“Wow”, is my one word to describe our experience… beautiful hotel with impeccable service! Estefanny and Jorge really stood out and really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and to feel extra special. Alma restaurant for breakfast and Dinner was exquisite! Try their mojitos! Best I ever had and I am Cuban!

Almost forgot to mention the beds! You will never want to get out of them… the best!! Just a seamless experience and highly, highly recommended. Cant wait to come back to Cartagena and to Casa San Agustin!

I can't say enough about my current experience here. From the email I received prior to arriving to coordinate my airport shuttle to arriving with a sign and friendly hostess escorting us to a clean roomy car, my experience began there. Upon arriving and crossing the threshold we were fussed over by Yanelis and Alexandra who truly greeted us and asked if we needed anything before getting our documents to check us in. We were greeted with the most refreshing beverage and quickly undressed in pool attire to take advantage of our first day. Yanelis took care of my entire itinerary at check in with all my desired bookings for my stay to included spa spots private car, boat ride to private beach club, looking for medicine for me you name it the experience here is what a fine hotel and resort on AMEX should be. The room!!! It was immaculate on it lines of a Peninsula hotel (my best in class) the entire boutique property is pristine. Staff in hotel all friendly and plenty od staff to support the hotel. I look forward to my next 3 nights.
