Crowne Plaza Xuzhou Dalong Lake by IHG

Perhaps this is the only international hotel in the area of Xuzhou but there are lots to be improved upon.

The hotel has seen its better days as room though clean showed signs of aging especially in the bath area whereby the rubber seals are dirty.

Though it is a 5 stars hotel, I was surprised that only the Chinese restaurant is open for dinner and the other restaurant is a breakfast only restaurant. Breakfast catered more to local guests rather than international guests.

Overall the hotel would not make my cut for a 5 stars hotel

This hotel is really fantastic. Best location,easy to arrive by different ways. Spacious room, very clean inside. Superb facilities, especially gym center. Also the food, super yummy, the price is good! Best option for business trip.

This is a disappointing experience for those people used to staying at Crowne Plazas. Why? 1. The majority of the staff speak almost no English, some of them were rude 2. I had a fly buzzing round my room for the night of my stay 3. Room service food was disgusting and inedible 4. The hotel location is not convenient if you want to walk outside for a restaurant or convenience store 5. The pool did not seem heated even though it is November

Apart from these glaring problems the building itself is impressive, room size good.

Suffice to say, it was not something to relieve the weary traveller after a long day's travel on the train!

I stayed there for approx. a week while visiting Chinese University of Mining and Technology in 2018. It was a lovely stay. The rooms are spacious at high quality and have either balcony or terrace. The bathroom has high standards and amenities are plentiful. The breakfast is amazing with many choices and chance to try many different tastes. Only the coffee of course does not reach European standards.
I highly recommend the place.

Everything was great, however there is not very much in the surrounding area. Certainly nothing within walking distance.

I was on a business trip and stayed at this crowne plaza. It is a lovely facility and with a jogging map too. The gym is opened from 6am to 11pm and almost never did I see a person in there so you can work out in peace. The staff was super friendly and had smiles on their faces always. The breakfast is on the basement floor and I did love their coffee and omelette! Would for sure stay here again! The bed was comfy and room was very spacious!

The hotel is situated next to the lake. Which is very picturesque. The hotel is a little isolated as to shops and restaurants in walking distance.
My only complaint is that there seems to be no heating in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. This makes it a little uncomfortable. The rest of the hotel is nice and warm. So seems strange why restaurant is cold.

Nice hotel in Xuzhou

We booked an executive room expecting a club lounge and full meeting room access.

There is no lounge but there was a meeting room. We had to pay for water & coffee.

Anyway the clincher for us was we wanted to use a projector for which there was a fee of 200rmb.

There is really no bar area and my room had some fly’s in it.

The best thing about the hotel was breakfast and the nice outlook of the lake.

To be fair Xuzhou is not a tourist destination so you can do much worse

Even though a small city, hotel is nice and quite close to everything.

Hotel is good. Buffet is nice and priced just right.
Staff are helpful, respectfull and attentive.
Rooms are huge. Nice bed and all super clean and well maintained.

Hotel is a bit far from everything but still good.

Stayed just 1 night when travelling for business, I went out for dinner so can only give a limited review, however, no issues...

A great hotel that has better standards than some intercontinental hotels from IHG.
Good comfortable room, service excellent and well looked after at check in.
