Pros:

Airport pickup up came in handy after a long flight and arriving in the middle of the night. Beautiful view of lake Victoria, nice pool to relax on the hot day. Breakfast was excellent and customer service was great 👍

Pros:

Great location on Lake Victoria 3 minutes drive from airport complimentary airport shuttle pickup. The grounds have a very relaxing feel looking at the lake, very friendly staff and good food at the restaurant.

Top Lage, freundliches Personal

Cons:

Preis Leistung, kaputte abgebrochene Türklinken auf Toiletten, Sauberkeit, Dusche mit schimmel, gebrochenen Fliesen, zerrissennen Dichtungen. Weckruf hat nicht geklappt.

Closest to Entebbe Airport
Pros:

Our travel agent booked this hotel as we had an early morning flight and wanted to maximize our rest time beforehand. The hotel is right on Lake Victoria and offers a nice breeze but can get buggy. The rooms have air conditioning and a TV.
We ate dinner in the restaurant, they have varied selections and the food was good, but service was a bit slow. They can accommodate gluten-free.
It took us over 30 minutes to check-in as the hotel attempted to provide us a lesser room than the one paid for in advance. They also claimed to have no knowledge of my prepaid transportation to airport until I asked the concierge about it and then they checked their records and found the information. If you do book here, make certain that you have documentation about what you purchased when you check-in. They did come through, but it took time. If you are not pressed for time, there are nicer boutique hotels about a 20-minute drive away.

Excellent service always
Pros:

Excellent service always.
Every time I stay at Protea Entebbe , my expectations are exceeded.
The staff are helpful and welcoming and friendly with special recognition to Caroline the Front Desk supervisor who always goes an extra mile to make my stay as comfortable as possible.
I will definitely be coming back.

Pros:

Close to airport, safe, good staff, good setting.

Cons:

Way over priced, a bit tired, renovations at the the time so noisy. Balcony unusable because of the flies. On my 2nd stay had no balcony, opaque windows because they looked out onto the hotel’s backyard facilities , and I could have been in any below average corporate hotel - but charged the same price - over £200 a night!

Good hotel for transit, but not long stay
Pros:

The Protea Hotel is decent for what it seems to be - a transit hotel for people going on to other areas of Uganda for business or tourism. We received an upgrade due to my husband's Marriott status and were placed in an "executive suite." It was a weird, large room with a king bed on one end, a table and chairs in the middle, and a desk/tv/dresser on the opposite side. It had a very large balcony with a view of the lovely pool and Lake Victoria. The furniture is in good shape, but it's very business hotel with not much charm. The bathroom is definitely worn, but at least it has the standard amenities (the hairdryer was attached to the side of the desk in the main room, weirdly!). The bed was comfortable. The A/C is one of those wall-mounted units that can be sort of noisy at times, at least ours was. Not all of the lights seemed to work. There was a big hole with like sheetrock in the hall right between our room and the next room so maybe there is some ongoing construction, although we didn't hear anything. It's quiet-ish.
The best thing about the hotel is its staff, particularly in the restaurant Tides. The breakfast was nothing special, but the dinner was good - particularly the curry! The restaurant staff is worth mentioning twice - fantastic.
Convenient to the airport - they will arrange a shuttle for you. Seemed safe. You can enjoy marabou storks landing in the grassy expanse outside the lobby.

A great time in a beautiful place.
Pros:

Excellent choice of breakfast also lovely evening meals with careful attentive staff. Loved the room and view. Great location for airport and able to leave luggage for the day. Thank you for such a great experience.
