almost good for the money
Pros:

The entire place was clean.
Comfy beds.
Free access to the hotel pool (we didn’t get the chance to use it).
Close to shops and the old town center.

Cons:

The rooms look better in the photos on Booking than in reality, but they probably matched the price we paid.

There was a strong sewage smell in the bathroom, especially when it was windy outside (it seemed like an air current formed between the floor drain and the ceiling vent).

It was very difficult to adjust the shower temperature so that the water wasn’t too hot or too cold.

The sink had separate taps — one for hot water and one for cold.

Breakfast was pretty much the same every day, and if you came later (around 9 a.m.), you risked not finding some of the food options left.

The first room we were given didn’t have a TV, but we appreciated that they changed our room the next day.

You can hear music at night from other nearby properties, even from a far distance.

The refrigerators from the bar area could be heard in the upstairs room.

There are no dedicated parking spaces — everyone has to look for a spot nearby, in a somewhat uninhabited area (that’s at least where I managed to find one).

The toilet cover wouldn’t stay up; we reported it, but nothing was fixed.

Relax a Malia
Pros:

Bellissimo hotel, i suoi punti forti sono la colazione e la piscina! La colazione offre infatti un'ampia varietà di cibi, sia dolci che salati, ed è molto abbondante essendo a buffet. La piscina e la zona circostante sono poi estremamente curate e sembrano un'oasi di relax. Le camere sono confortevoli, e il personale è molto gentile e disponibile.

Cons:

Mancano alcuni appendini ad esempio in bagno, dove non si sa dove appoggiare l'asciugamano. Inoltre la spiaggia è un po' lontana, circa 20 minuti a piedi. Però considerato il prezzo un'ottima opzione.

Pros:

Tout !! L'accueil des propriétaires Parents et fils top
Le personnel gentil, serviable et discret top
Le petit déjeuner super, varié, salé et sucré en quantité et qualité, juste manquait du chocolat à boire ;-)
La chambre, cuisine et salle de bain spacieuse
Terrasse personnelle à chaque chambre très confortable
Piscine très propre tout comme l'établissement

Cons:

Attention même si l'hôtel est intervenu la ville est festive et les autres clients peuvent manquer de respect en rentrant tard (2:00 - 3:00 matin) en criant voire mettant la musique à fond sans se préoccuper du sommeil des autres chambres.
Ceci n'est en aucun cas la faute de l'hôtel.

Pros:

Omistaja sekä hänen isänsä olivat todella mukavia ja avuliaita, kuten kaikki muutkin työntekijät olivat erittäin mukavia ja hyväntuulisia! Hotellilla olisi potentiaalia olla hieno ja hintansa arvoinen! Siivoojat olivat parhaat ja tehokkaimmat mitä olen ikinä nähnyt, heille valtavan suuri kiitos!

Cons:

Muut asukkaat juhlivat hotellin terassilla ja altaalla yömyöhään, olisi voinut henkilökunta puuttua siihen. Tiesin Malian olevan bilepaikka, siksi otin hotellin ihan kylän reunalta, kun ajattelin, että olisi rauhallisempaa. Aamiainen oli aika suppea ja yksinkertainen, tylsä. Toisen huoneen kylpyhuoneen katto oli homeessa, valtava kosteusvaurio.

Het verblijf in Creta Verano was een zeer positieve ervaring!

-Modern, recent gebouw
-Ruime, lichte, frisse kamer
-Goed tegen geluid geïsoleerd
-Goed, comfortabel groot bed

One of our most pleasant hotels this trip
Pros:

We were pleased from the moment we arrived the front desk person was so courteous and helpful
The property was at the end of the Main Street and close to everything
Pool beautiful breakfast quite good lots of fruit and breads
The staff were mostly family and very anxious to help in any way
We have stayed in Malia before but for sure would use this property in future for our trips here it is not close to beach maybe 10- 15 minute walk but the atmosphere of the street is a winner

Cons:

If I had to pick a downfall it would be lack of a room safe
It’s a pain to carry around cash and passports
But still would come back I’m sure if we had asked they would have locked things up in hotel safe
