Achillion Palace Hotel Rethymno City Center

The hotel is in a great location only a few minutes walk to the Old Town which offers great shops, bars and restaurants. We stayed for 10 nights and all meals in the old town were fabulous and good value. The roof pool is great, and the breakfast offers something for everybody. Our room was comfortable with a lovely view over the garden. The ladies who clean the rooms everyday were so happy and friendly and made our room so lovely for when we returned at the end of the day. A fridge in the room was great, and the air con worked perfectly.

At this hotel the staff are absolutely fabulous, so friendly, helpful, happy and very hospitable and that made our stay even better… the breakfast girls who also looked after the roof pool/bar. A special mention for the lovely ..

The staff was excellent, big thanks to Poppy at reception, she is such a gem! We felt truly welcomed and had the best time! I was having my birthday, so the hotel gifted us a delicious chocolate cake, such a nice gesture, thank you so much! The location was perfect, close to the beach and to city center, somewhere in between! The facilities and the mattresses were comfortable, a lot of space in the room and in the bathroom to put make-up and skin care! The breakfast was continental, tasty omelette by the way, maybe would prefer some more fruits and a salad with lettuce, but still very good!

Πολύ καλή καθαριότητα στα δωμάτια και σε όλους τους χώρους του ξενοδοχείου.
Εξαιρετικό πρωινό και εξυπηρέτηση. Η τοποθεσία είναι στο ιδανικό μέρος για όλες τις ανάγκες, κοντά σε παραλία, στη παλιά πόλη, στο μεγάλο Parking της Μαρίνας, αλλά και σε μέσα μαζικής μεταφοράς και ταξί.

Sicuramente un’opzione valida per soggiornare a Retimno Vicino al lungomare ed alla città vecchia . Considerate che la zona è loro caotica e se non trovate parcheggio( per colpo di fortuna) dovrete pagare . Il valore aggiunto che mi ha fatto comunque dare un giudizio positivo è il bellissimo giardino interno dove fare colazione e la piscina seppur piccola, sul tetto con una bella vista!

Very clean .

The location is very close to everything.
The staffs are very friendly and you ask them any questions you like even for restaurants reservations.

The gentleman who was at reception helped me to get a parking spot in front of the hotel.
We were so grateful for that.

It was not easy for the first time when we are the foreigners to drive in Crete.

We were so lucky that we had a room upgraded.

De vriendelijkheid van het personeel.
IEDEREEN is heel erg vriendelijk en heel behulpzaam.
De locatie van het hotel is ook geweldig. Vlakbij het strand en de old town wat voor ons geweldig is.
Supermooie zaakjes en heel erg lekker eten.
Het ontbijt is ook lekker. Niet heel erg uitgebreid maar voor ieder toch wat wils.

+ Staff 9/10 (without the last evenings event and some reception staff "What do you want?" without greeting first or smiling doesnt come off the right way..
+ Actually got a really nice room with a view to the ocean
+ AC did it's job
+ Located on a smaller sidestreet so no actual loud noise from the traffic affected us

Achillion Palace er en sann perle. Det kan skryte av en fantastisk beliggenhet i gangavstand fra både stranden og sentrum av Rethymno. Det er et fantastisk takbasseng med panoramautsikt – et fredelig sted med mange solsenger og en bar som serverer drinker og snacks. Frokosten er veldig god, og det skyggefulle atriumet er nydelig. Vi likte alt ved det. Det som virkelig gjør oppholdet uforglemmelig, er imidlertid gjestfriheten og varmen til personalet. Det er rent og koselig, og du kan virkelig føle at ledelsen og de ansatte bryr seg om gjestene sine. Vi nøt hvert minutt av oppholdet vårt og vil gjerne komme tilbake.

Excellent location right between the beach and Rethymno old town
- Very helpful staff. I had an issue with noise in the first room. The night manager sorted the problem out very quickly after I went to reception at midnight, unable to sleep due to kitchen fan noise. The next morning, when the noise started again, I was moved to a quieter room.
-Anna, the housemaid did an amazing job of telling me which side of the hotel was quieter and cleaning my room to an excellent standard every day. We shared some great jokes together!
- Very friendly staff overall; very happy to help and advise on where to go in Rethymno.
- Loved the garden as a place to eat for breakfast.
- Pool at rooftop was absolutely lovely, with stunning views although I didn't spend much time here as I spent more time at the beach.

Nice lady working in the reception. Good location, pretty quiet street. Sunbeds and pool on the roof. Decent breakfast (if you arrive early enough). Cute garden.
