Exceptional stay as usual that just gets better and better
Pros:

Excellent breakfast and location right in the centre of town, have stayed here several times before and each time gets better than the last. Staff extremely friendly helpful and welcoming

Cons:

Only street parking available, although plenty of spaces available within 2 minutes walk from the hotel

Brilliant hotel
Pros:

We had my son’s confirmation here last Thursday. Everything was absolutely excellent. The dining room was full but the service was absolutely outstanding. We couldn’t fault one thing. Adrain,Imelda and all the staff couldn’t do enough for everyone. A brilliant day had by adults and children. We had family members book into the hotel for the night also and they were very impressed with everything. Well done to everyone 👏👏

Restrant Staff
Pros:

We recently had a confirmation party here. We had 20 people in our party and ate dinner that evening. There were many other large tables besides us. We were greeted with friendly smiles and total professionalism from the beginning of the evening to the end.
The waiting staff took our order promptly and served all our food at the same time. The meals were piping hot and delicious. We were asked many times if we were OK and if we needed anything.
The River Island organised a disco for the children after the meal to which both children and adults enjoyed immensely.
They also kindly provided a beautifully decorated balloon back drop area to take photos.
I would highly recommend this venue for a party or just going out for a quiet meal. The food is superb and the waiting and bar staff are both professional attentive and very friendly. Home away from home.

I had my daughters confirmation at the River Island Hotel on Thursday last the food was excellent, the staff couldn't have been more helpful would highly recommend anyone to dine there 10/10

What a beautiful hotel staff and management should be very proud we had an excellent meal staff sooo sooo nice all smiling nothin was a bother to them anything we asked for was no problem staff owners of this hotel should really complement there staff

A nice hotel with a few areas for improvement
Pros:

The hotel is quaint and has charm and is centrally located in Castleisland and the staff were very nice and friendly

Cons:

Breakfast was not up to standard for an Irish country hotel. Our room was nice but there was water leaking through the windows (admittedly it was raining very heavily) and the (small) double bed was a bit too small for two people.

Very Welcoming
Pros:

Beautiful Hotel. Loved the Entrance, looked inviting. The reception staff were very welcoming and explained the information really well.
The room was lovely and fresh when I walked in. Very clean and comfortable. Had tea and coffee facilities.
Housekeeping were very obliging and helpful during my two-night stay.
The staff in restraunt were very welcoming and accommodating and made sure to keep checking I was ok for everything. Did this with everyone.
Had an evening meal one night, Brie and the Tempura Prawns, I recommend. Also breakfast the next day, loads to choose from and very tasty. Lunch/evening I had the Chicken and mushroom vol au vent for mains, very tasty.
