Apart from the air conditioning broken my stay was great and I will stay here again.
Pros:

The location is a bonus if wanting to be right in the heart of the city. I have stayed here many times and find the rooms just what I need for my stay. Totally convenient for what I need for what I am doing in Auckland. Staff are always helpful and pleasant.

Cons:

I arrived and the air conditioning was broken not a problem if staying for one night but 3 nights. I was not told of this before I was given the room or even offered a discount or another option. By the time I realised I was unpacked and too tired to change anything. Although there was a fan this room 303 is sunny and although the windows were open the warm of the room was noticeable when returning in the evening. The fan just made it bearable but with the windows open there was a considerable amount of noise. My only complaint for this visit. Every other time I have stayed here has been perfect!!

Was ok for a budget stay, but will not stay again.

The shower was useless. The toilet roll holder kept falling off. The tv picture was terrible despite adjusting the settings. There were no spoons provided to stir my hot drink. The fridge didn’t work properly. No fan in the bathroom. No extra bedding provided. It was a little dirty.

Great location, average facilities, nice staff
Pros:

Location, on site parking. Predictably average.

Cons:

It could use a spruce up. A microwave in the room would be good. A kettle, tea, coffee, and small fridge are provided. If you want a hot drink, take your own stirrer because that's not provided.

Good Value for money
Pros:

The hotel is good for the price - the staff is really accommodating and welcoming. Nice view on the Sky Tower

The room is a little bit dated and the cleanliness was average.

Cons:

Very run down. Dated building and decor, a lot of the communal areas were dirty. Also in the room the furniture was not great. Right up the top of queen street so you have to walk a giant hill every day

Un énorme lit, au calme et relativement propre

Cons:

Le rapport qualité/prix n'est pas approprié, la douche est très basique (pas de pommeau), pas de brosse à dents à disposition ni dentifrice. Le fait de payer un supplément de parking... en tout 215$ pour une chambre et un service très basique.
