Un séjour parfait, la chambre avec vue sur la mer est incroyable. Merci pour toutes les petites attentions.

Good If you are happy chilling by the pool and not doing much in the ocean or surrounding area.
Pros:

The hotel itself is quite beautiful on a large landscaped ground overlooking a beautiful piece of ocean with an island and a lovely pool area.

Cons:

Unfortunately the ocean in front of the hotel is no good fro swimming because of an infestation of sea urchins right in front of the hotel and to the left and right - there is a sliver of of beach just to the left of the hotel at low tide and you can swim in a small area of sand but the beach is never tended to or cleaned and fulled with litter everyday. The area is also meant to be a marine protected area but every single morning there are at least 100 local boats racing around taking people to swim with dolphins, snorkel or go sit on the sandbank, this is completely unregulated and out of control. The local boat touts also sit on the resort pier trying to sell hotel guests trips. The drinks service at the hotel is also not great with many items out of stock and no one serving drinks around the pool. The nearby beaches are not great either, again swarming with unregulated and rude people harassing you to buy things including illegals poached shells.

Si le paradi existe, il est au sunshine marine lodge !!
Pros:

Nous avions déjà séjourné dans cet établissement en 2022, donc nous étions déjà en pays de connaissance.
Ce qui nous plait dans cet hotel, c'est l'accueil, la gentillesse du personnel, la vue sur la mer, la magnifique piscine à débordement, Une excellente cuisine. En résumé, un vrai coin de paradis.

Pros:

It has a good pool with a view of the ocean and the Mnemba island is properly visible from here. The staff were courteous and available to answer all queries. They also came to do a mosquito spray. Rooms also felt quite spacious.

Cons:

The location is cut off from everything and you're stuck to the resort which has very limited choices. Everything at breakfast felt stale compared to all other properties we stayed at. Rooms, while spacious, didn't feel tasteful - really old lockers, torn decor, and bed wasn't made even at 2 pm the next day. Overall, very average and loads of nicer properties on the stretch.

Amazing surroundings, very relaxing and quiet spaces with beautiful gardens and spectacular sea view. Good service, spacious clean rooms.

Cons:

No direct access to swimming in the ocean. The place needs an update as it feels like an old safari lodge at present not lux resort. We prefer more upbeat atmosphere.

Buon Hotel ubicato di fronte a Mnemba Island!
Pros:

Struttura con location mozzafiato: ubicata di fronte all’isola di Mnemba. Buona colazione, una delle migliori durante il nostro viaggio itinerante a Zanzibar con frutta fresca, croissant, torte fatte in casa, omelette, bacon e salsicce. Consiglio le camere vista mare, in questo caso fanno davvero la differenza!

We chose this resort mainly because it has an on site dive centre, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. We completed our Open Water course with Hamissi, and it was an absolutely amazing experience — professional, fun, and very reassuring. Highly recommended!

From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel like part of a big family. The staff genuinely take care of you and go out of their way to make your stay special.

The resort offers a stunning sea view. While there is no direct beach access, this is absolutely not a problem: during the day there is a free shuttle service to nearby sister resorts, where you can choose between a public beach or a private beach. Both options are fantastic, so you really don’t miss out on anything.

Another big plus is the free daily yoga, which was a wonderful way to relax and start the day. The spa treatments are also excellent. we tried them and they were absolutely amazing.

And the food… simply wow! Huge compliments to the chef and the entire team, every meal was delicious and beautifully prepared.

Overall, a wonderful resort with great diving, outstanding staff, excellent food, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. We would definitely come back!
