.
Nice 4* hotel in Zante at a quiet place. Private beach with sand, swimming pool. But not these things are matter... The hospitality, a friendly, smilie staff, a perfectly clean rooms, a top quality food what you got. The whole feeling of this place is unforgottable. We came at 10 a.m. and we were invited for a free breakfast, we left after one week, and left the room at 13:30. This family hotel just want to keep you satisfied from the owners till the trainee waitress. Thank you Dionisos for this experience and your hospitality!
Really nice and friendly Hotel. A warm welcome from the owner who informed us about he hotel and showed the way to our room made us feel welcomed and happy. The room was big with a nice view of the garden and even the sea. Ok beds and an ok bathroom. A plus that there was a rather big refrigerator and a kettle.
The included breakfast was really great, lots to choose from and it was slightly altered from day to day. You could choose to be very healthy or the opposite! Nice pool, just enough to even swim some lengths in it and cool enough to cool down from the heat. The pool bar was great, nice lunch and a really helpful and friendly staff.
We will definatly go back here, we really liked it!!!
Family run hotel who can’t do enough for you. Room was spacious and very clean, linen and towels changed every day plus beach towels. The shower temperature changed from boiling hot to cold in seconds without moving the lever! The small beach and grass area decked out with free sun beds was beautiful and the sea crystal clear.
The breakfast was buffet style. However there are NO evening meals or pool bar snacks available in May. These may well be available later in the season. TUI have been contacted about this issue. As there are only 2 restaurants in walking distance this was an issue for us as we expected meals at the hotel.
The bus stop is only a few minutes walk, however they DONT run in May or June. The supermarket is 30 minutes walk to the main road. Also there is a bakery opposite who serve excellent coffee and giant doughnuts, lush!
Andreas restaurant is only 5 minutes walk beautiful setting by the beach however we were put off by the pushy waiter and the frozen fish. Also expensive for what it was. Porto Roulis restaurant is 10 minute walk, this family run taverna next to the beach was amazing. Very friendly, fresh fish caught by the daughter, music from the old man and a simple menu was what Zante is all about.
We did have a good relaxing quiet holiday thanks to Dionisis and his family.
Drosia being out of the way I would recommend a car, even if it’s just to get an evening meal, ( if the hotel are not serving food). Taxis can be booked by the family €25 to Zante and €15 to Tsilivi.
Super séjour et très bien accueilli
Merci à Dionysis et au personnel
Petit dej parfait et il varie chaque matin
Chambre propre ✅
Juste avoir une voiture…
What a lovely hidden gem, family run hotel staff amazing just what I needed lovely week away amazing weather
Hotel and rooms spotless cleaned and fresh towels daily
I have mobility issues and every part of hotel just a few steps away
We were bed and breakfast and plenty of choice
Meals around the pool area massive portions and reasonable prices
Couple of food tavern next door good quality
Seafront and always plenty of beds also around the pool
Would definitely go back
Thank you Dionysis for your great hospitality. You are the main man, the heart of the hotel whatever me and my family asked for was never a problem fro you.
Also thank you Stathis for your great service, for the great company and for advising us where to go in Zakynthos.
Zakynthos is an amazing island, very beautiful and not expensive. If you want to eat in the hotel restaurant offers a different four course meal every day. So 7daysX4courses= 28 different courses a week!
The premises of the hotel are very good, very clean and tidy. Our room was big, modern and clean, the pool is large and the private beach is very nice and just next to the pool.
All the staff is very kind and very professional and hard working. It is a family run restaurant and you can easily feel the good vibes of all the people who work there.
The hotel can arrange you taxis and boats to the main sightseeings in the isalnd like the tour to the Navagio beach and the tour to the turtles. All you need to do is ask Mr Dionisis and he will have that arranged with just a phone call!
Me and my family spent a week in Belussis hotel and felt it was too little, i wish we had booked for more time, thanks to the people who work in the hotel we will come back for more amazing holidays!
Thank you Dionysis,
Vasileios Pappas and family
A warm welcome from the owners with friendly staff. All areas very clean and a good pool. The beach is a rocky outcrop so take beach shoes. Its tricky to get to open water.
Stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfasts were very good with plenty of choice.
Room 305 was a large third floor fabulous rooms (lift available) with a good sized balcony. An amazing space to watch spectacular sunrises.
A quiet spot but enough tavernas to satisfy. A bus into nearest town (Tsilivi and to Zakynthos Town) a bargain for only 2euro pp each way. Especially if you want a little more going on.
Would definitely stay again
This was my second visit to Zante, and my partners 4th. This was the best hotel we have ever stayed in.
We arrived at about 630am after landing on the first plane into the island. The owner Dionis greeted us with his beautiful dog! She's a very kind girl!
The room was spacious, plenty of storage space. We were in room 118, so close to the main reception.
The furniture is all you need for the time your likely to spend in your room, good and efficient room service daily (fresh towels, bedding, bath mats, garbage change etc)
Breakfast is a fabulous selection of fruits, cereals, meats, cheeses, the pancakes and giant bowl of Nutella were my personal favourite :-)
The view from the restaurant is second to none, overlooking kefalonia and the Ionian Sea. In the evening the moon lights up the sea right infront of you, it is a special sight.
The evening meal is €30 per person, you get to help yourself to wines, beer, juices, water and tea and coffee. There is a service/set menus for the day - just ask the bar staff in the daytime what it is. We had - pizza, spaghetti, king prawns, pork gyros and a lovely pudding - safe to say we were stuffed!
The staff are friendly and helpful, the owner is very interactive with his guests and it is clear he cares deeply for his hotel. It was immaturely clean, and we were very happy that we were able to connect for free to a great WiFi service which covered our room, and most of the areas even as far as the bus stop which is about 100 yards away.
The beach/lounge/pool area is very relaxed. There are lots of loungers and the sea is beautiful - there are pebbles/stones so do pack your water shoes/sandals once you go out a few meters there is plenty of lovely sand.
There are some wonderful fish tarvernas near by, Vardiaola was our favourite.
If you like a snorkel, there's some incredible fish - be careful by the rocks on the right of the walkway as some of them have corals on and are a little sharp on your toes and hands.
The supermarket is about a 10/15 minute walk away and has a lot in it, there's also a petrol station and a lush bakery.
We had a little confusion on our last day for check out, but the manager was very understanding and allowed us to stay in the room until our transfer time of 2:40am
we will 100% be returning to this hotel
Very good cleaning and change towels every day. Beautiful garden - very good breakfast. In the evening if you want to eat 30 e/person including beer, wine, water, unlimited juices - a lot of food. Own beach 20 m from the room - there is no sand, sunbeds with umbrellas on the grass (included in the room price), very good sea water with sand a few meters from the shore - enter through the right side of the pier and walk parallel to it . Pool bar by the sea. Quiet hotel - no one bothers you except for the sprinklers 😜 which go on between 07-07.15 in the morning. The rooms have their own terrace where you can sit quietly in the evening. Private parking, non-stop reception. Nearby there are 3 good restaurants that you can reach on foot in a maximum of 8 minutes. Farthest ,, Ma Rea Fine Dining (rare) - more expensive, 4 min Andreas (more), 4 min. Vikos (beef, pork - cheap). Supermarket, pastry shop and gas station at 1.3 km. Thanks to Statis (bar/restaurant) who gave me everything I asked for. Very good coffee for breakfast too. I asked them why they don't have olives for breakfast (are they expensive? 😜). From the next day they were. For perfectionists - as defects - after a heavy rain at night - dripping in several places at breakfast, some outdated furniture items.
A lovely, quiet smaller family-run hotel located right on the beach, friendly staff, clean big rooms with free air con, always plenty of free sunbeds. Photos give an accurate picture of the place. No entertainment of an evening thank goodness, just the lapping of waves.
The accommodation is built in an L shape with the beach at the top of the L . We were lucky to have a room towards the beach with a good sea view, but further back the view would be limited.
Recommend hiring transport to explore as not much of interest in immediate locality, and limited restaurants within walking distance. We had a 300cc scooter for 5 days (£200) arranged by and delivered to the hotel.
We have always previously gone to Greece self catering on a budget, but this time went B&B so paid a little more than we usually do. It was well worth it for the excellent location and plentiful help-yourself breakfast which catered for all tastes.
All in all, we think it's the best place per Euro we have ever stayed in our 35yrs of Greek holidays.
Also some lovely cats, in particular a mum cat & her 3 kittens, which she is still feeding, & a dog called Tuesday.
Very good
We have spent 8 days at this Resort and have been very satisfied with the overall experience.
Very clean, quiet, friendly owners, a great sea-view and swimming pool.
You can access direclty to the beaches close-by and the sea is fantastic.
Very comfortable location in the eastern part of the island, far from the crowded southern beaches and the possibility to make group tours to te different parts of the island. you need anyway a car...
We spent wonderful holiday at Belussi Beach Hotel. Owner and staff are very nice and helpful. We made a mistake at our reservation and no standard room was free, but they quickly solved this; instead of standard room they gave us junior suite for small extra fee plus welcome drinks. They also realized that my wife has birthday and organized special dinner (delicious!) for us, with special table, flowers etc. All this free of charge!
Our suite war spacious, nice balcony and spotless clean, with everything we needed. There is kettle for morning cafe or tea as well.
Hotel location is excellent, directly at private beach. Beach has plenty of shadow under the trees or umbrellas and is never crowded. Perfect for relaxing, quiet holiday.
Very nice pool area. Poolside bar offer variety of drinks, cocktails and tasty snacks.
At the leave we also received some gifts from the owner which was very nice gesture.
Our hosts Dionisis and his wife Aggeliki were wonderful. They greated us warmly on arrival and upgraded our room with a sea view without any extra cost when we checked in, which was a lovely surprise and also gave my partner a huge birthday cake on our second day when they heard it was her birthday. They also gave us some gifts on leaving to remember our stay with them. The perfect hosts.
Dionisis has made his own map of the island which you can have a copy of, indicating various day trips and the best sites to visit on each day trip and even a discounted boat trip to visit the blue caves and shipwreck beach (if you say you are staying at the Belussi beach hotel)
The hotel is located perfectly. Just a few kilometers north of Zakynthos town on the quieter East coast. This makes driving easier when travelling off to different parts of the island as the south of the island around Laganas is so busy being the main hub for tourists. We did visit Laganas to go to Turtle island and take a boat trip to see turtles in the bay. But Laganas was so busy it made us really pleased to be staying in a quieter area with less busy roads and attractions. The north of the island is beautiful with it's forests, 2000 year old olive tree and rocky blue caves around the coast. In ten days we managed to see the whole island and still have many beach and pool days when we wanted to take it easy.
The hotel has everything you need to enjoy swimming in the sea and days around the pool. The breakfasts were lovely and sitting in the air conditioned restaurant was so relaxing with it's panaramic view of the coast. The poolside bar has superb food and I recommend the greek style pizza which was perfect. The grounds are beautifully laid out and have vine covered walkways with grapes hanging in easy reach places everywhere (best enjoyed in August we were advised) though my partner ate many anyway as well as fresh figs from the trees around the hotel. The hotel pool is a perfect size and the beach has many sunbeds under the trees providing some shade if needed,
Our room was large and clean with a lovely sea view from the balcony. The staff were all so friendly throughout our stay and we had some lovely chats with them when they were on and off duty. Every one of the staff were friendly from the cleaners to the restaurant and bar staff.
I highly recommend you hire a car for the duration of your stay. There are three local restaurants within 5 mins walk if you wish to walk to dine out away from the hotel and a supermarket is a ten minute walk through an olive tree lined road. But if you want to explore the island properly and explore what it has to offer you need some transport. You can use a taxi or a bus to explore but this would really limit what you can see.
Just six kilometres north of the hotel is one of the best beaches we found on the island- Amoudi Beach. It appears to be a little discovered jem with so few people about. There is a cafe restaurant right on the beach. In the sea there is a pure sand floor (just one small rock I saw under the crystal clear water) You can walk out into the sea about 200 meters on this pure sand floor and still the water is just at your waist height. You can book a sunbed from the cafe for 4 euros 50 cents for the whole day and there were many free beds available every time we visited. This is in stark contrast to Laganas bay in the south which is packed with tourists.
Also I have to mention if you love animals, the owners have a lovely golden Labrador called (Tuesday) in translation from Greek, who was a rescue dog. There are also many cats about who are all very approachable. We often fed them from supermarket cat pouches on paper plates especially a young mother cat and her three adorable kittens who are currently just a few weeks old. If you are staying at the hotel from now -July 2024 up to the end of the season then go and see them. They live under the decking opposite the restaurant and are a delight to see and feed.
