Elena Hotel

This was a last minute. Stop when driving from Mount Olympus to Athens. There was nothing wrong with it, but you do get which to pay for. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower is tiny, and I am a small person. So I don’t know how a big person would fit in there. Breakfast was pretty good. It’s located right across from the beach though. So that was great. Don’t follow the Google Maps directions with the coordinates.You end up in some lady’s driveway which must happen a lot, because she knew exactly where I wanted to go, but we really couldn’t communicate for me to get the right directions. I would use a different map service and put in the exact address.

This is a hidden gem. Hotel out of the sixties. Amazing position on the beach … dream sea food restaurants all around and we had a room with a glorious sea view. Just loved it …. Understand it’s a bit of Greece that only the Greeks go to.

Κλείσαμε το standard δωμάτιο που ανέφερε στην περιγραφή οτι έχει θέα θάλασσα και μας έδωσαν δωμάτιο με πλαινή θέα θάλασσα. Το συζητήσαμε με τον υπεύθυνο και μας είπε ότι η Expedia δεν του δίνει τη δυνατότητα να βάζει εκείνος περιγραφές και θα έπρεπε να φτιάξει νέα κατηγορία για να ειναι ξεκάθαρο οτι ειναι πλαινή θέα στη θάλασσα. Μας υποσχέθηκε ότι θα φτιάξει σωστά τις κατηγορίες και θα αναφέρει αν το δωμάτιο έχει πλαϊνή θέα, όμως μετα απο 15 ημέρες δεν το έχει ενημερώσει για να μην υπόσχεται παροχές που δεν παρέχονται. Our standard room was very comfortable, the family running the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms and breakfast terrace look out over the pretty and well-kept garden with flowers and palm trees, a sand and gravel beach (good for swimming and the hotel has free loungers and sun umbrellas available) and the island of Evia across the sea. It's just fine - and good value - as it is but a little updating and a upgrading of breakfast ingedients would be enough easily to deserve a 9 plus rating!

The owner was a great guy

Great value for money, the property is well located in front of the beach and port and the room were clean and functional. The owner was very kind, breakfast was good especially for the price paid.

The room was clean but the shower didn't work. Washed my hair in the sink. For the price it was great!

Very nice small hotel with personal owner-family. Very good restaurants within walking distance. Beach is right outside, beautiful sunset view from balcony if you are staying in the sea-view room.

We were only Aretsi for 2 nights as a stopover between our arrival in Athens and our hiking holiday in the Pelion region. The Elena is a pleasant beachfront hotel, nothing fancy but will everything we needed. The host, Dimitri, was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good.
