Stylish luxury hotel in the artistic Barranco neighbourhood where art, food and local handcraft is in walkable distance. The building was built in 1914 as a summer home and has been carefully renovated. The whole hotel is like an art gallery - a remarkable collection of paintings and sculptures from local artists throughout the last century are on the display.
The rooms are comfortable and true to their origin. The hotel offers a rich buffet breakfast, as well a la carte options - try the Peruvian eggs. The dinner menu features all Peruvian classics and the bar can equip you with a proper pisco sour.
Excellent property, great location, terrific breakfast and amazing afternoon tea included
Whilst the room was lovely, we booked a room with a balcony and we never got it, which was a shame as the weather was great for sitting outside. The room at night had a lot of noise from the bar/restaurant downstairs, the aircon was also noisy, and it was only by our 3rd night that the staff were actually able to work the blinds in the room
Absolutely everything
Las habitaciones, la decoración, la atención, ademas todos los ambientes tienen un olor delicioso
Las habitaciones deberían tener tomas tipo USB, los armarios de las habitaciones deberían tener luz interna. Los dulces del desayuno podrían mejorar.
It was a beautiful hotel. The breakfast and afternoon tea were 10/10 amazing. Great location, staff were so polite and respectful. Loved it.
Nothing - it was perfect!
Charming old house, wonderful breakfast and good location.
Very busy road ran straight past our room window which meant there was a lot of noise and fumes. Staff weren’t as welcoming and friendly as I have come to expect from a Relais and Chateau.
Excellent breakfast
Great location for exploring cool Barranco
Cool bar
Beautiful rooms
Great service
The hotel is in a good location and is beautifully designed. That said, I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.
We arrived in the room and the first impression was a strong smell of mold and of air freshener. We complained at reception and asked if we could change rooms but were told that there we no other rooms available. They offered to bring up an ozone machine to reduce the smell. When we came back to dinner the ozone machine was working and the smell had diminished a bit but was still very present. Later I found out that you shouldn't run the ozone machine for more than 10-15 minutes because the excess ozone can be very damaging to your lungs.
We noticed what looked like bodily fluids on the curtains. Then we checked the bed. The linen was ok, a couple of minor stains, but the duvet, the mattress cover, and the mattress itself were covered in multiple big stains. It looks like somebody had urinated in the bed. These weren't the stains from a single event. These had accumulated probably over years. It points to a significant problem in the administration of the hotel. I have uploaded photos of these stains, although the photos don't do them justice.
We called the on duty receptionist who apologised unreservedly, offered us a new room (although there were supposed to be no other rooms available), but understood when we said that we'd rather cancel our reservation, plus the reservation for 4 nights later. He said that the manager would email us to apologise and to confirm the refunds.
It has been 12 days now. No email from the manager, no refunds on my credit card. An abysmal experience. Wouldn't recommend this to anybody.
This hotel is in a fantastic building and it’s beautifully designed. The location is spot on walking distance to the main area, beach and cycle path which can take you into miraflores easily. The room we stayed in was a good size and was comfortable. We stayed in Barranco for a few days and then in Miraflores another time, but I would recommend staying in Barranco.
The rooms felt slightly on the cool side, and I think this is due to the ceilings being so high that it felt a bit draftee. It would have been nice to have a bath in the room considering the size and money paid.
This is a really fine hotel. A relaxed vibe in a beautiful mansion, surrounded by art, in a hip location with cool cocktails and elegant rooms. Very good service and a sense of home complete the package. The place to stay in Lima.
Everything was excellent
Terrible experience we booked a suite with a bath but upon arrival was told it’s not available and the front desk staff led by Mariela had a horrible and condescending attitude. DO NOT EXPECT THE ROOM YOU BOOK OR GOOD SERVICE
Een droom van een hotel! Alles klopt en is goed. De kunst, de kamer ( we kregen een upgrade, een super mooie suite, het team, het ontbijt, de thee met geweldige taartjes, de service en lokalisering. We hebben er enorm genoten.
Great location, exceptional staff, fantastic food. Felt like “the” place to be in Lima/Barranco on a Saturday night.
It was outstanding on every level , the decor , the service the location . It exceeded my expectations .
