The Alfond Inn

Amazing boutique hotel with five star accommodations, service, and amenities. My husband and I can’t wait to return. This is a hidden gem in the middle of such a beautiful quaint town. We live and Tampa and felt like we were far away. I would highly recommend the Alfond Inn to anyone wanting a luxurious stay in Winter Park.

The Alfond Inn is a gorgeous hotel located so perfectly to enjoy Winterpark! The rooms are beautiful as is the entire hotel and gorgeous gardens! The entire staff are so professional and kind they went above and beyond to meet all our needs. We always stay at The Alfond Inn and LOVE it! Also, Hamilton’s Kitchen at Alfond Inn is our favorite restaurant in Winterpark!

My friends and I stayed at The Alfond Inn in Winter Park, and unfortunately, the experience left us feeling extremely unwelcome.

At check in, I watched the front desk attendant warmly greet a white couple, thoroughly explain the hotel, answer questions, joke with them, and give them a complete rundown of everything. When it was my turn, the interaction was completely different. I was asked for my information, briefly told where the room was, and that was essentially it. Nothing was explained, and the tone felt dry, dismissive, and almost as though my presence was an inconvenience.

As a Black guest, it was difficult not to notice the sharp difference in treatment. Sometimes you want to enjoy a beautiful or upscale hotel, but the way you are treated can ruin the entire experience. Instead of feeling valued, we felt tolerated. The atmosphere became so uncomfortable that we mostly stayed in the room, made other plans around town, and checked out.

The valet also lost my only Tesla key, which will cost me several hundred dollars to replace. That made an already disappointing stay even worse.

The only positive part of the experience was the young woman working at the front desk during checkout. I was having stomach issues, and she kindly allowed me a little extra time before leaving. I genuinely appreciated that small act of consideration.

Other than that, the stay felt dry, stale, uncomfortable, and unwelcoming. Luxury is not only about the appearance of a building. It is also about how guests are treated. I would rather spend my money somewhere I feel celebrated and respected, not somewhere I feel judged or dismissed because of how I look. I would not return.

I will never stay any where else!!! This hotel is the epitome of luxury without being snobbish!! The hotel itself is a work of art! Not only the pieces that are hung throughout, but the structure itself. The staff are so very accommodating and pleasant. I have never changed a flight to extend my stay but I did this time! The pool was so clean, beautiful and relaxing I didn’t want to leave it. Paige, Hannah and Jared were amoung some of the standout staff that make your stay memorable! We will definitely return! I would also recommend the Winter Park boat tour! It’s within walking distance and really fun!

This is a beautiful, quiet and peaceful hotel in the heart of Winter Park. The accommodations were lovely. It’s within walking distance to many great shops and restaurants. The pool is very nice with food and bar service. Will stay again!

Everything about the hotel is great except for the water temperature. The hotel is in a great location, the staff is friendly, and the room was very clean. I stayed three consecutive nights, and at 2 AM every day, there was no hot water. This was very frustrating, as I am a night owl. I suspect they turn off the water heater at night, although one additional time at 8 pm, the water only got warm, not hot.

Lovely hotel in a lovely town. Always a treat to stay there! We lived in Winter Park when there wasn't an Alfond; this is one of the best things to come to Winter Park. Such a charming hotel in a fantastic location.

Beautiful facility just blocks way from Park Ave in Winter Park. I was there for a quick overnight but loved the facility. Very clean, well appointed and friendly staff. I would definitely stay at the Alfond Inn again!

Independence Day Gourmet at the Alfond Inn on 7/4/2026

The Alfond is the hotel used by our company when visiting our Winter Park office. This was my first visit to the Alfond and as such I wasn't sure what to expect from a place designated by our company. To say that it greatly exceeded my expectations is an understatement. The hotel is beautifully designed and elegantly appointed. It combines an old world elegance with very modern appointments. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is professional and friendly and the overall experience is too tier. It is definitely on par with some of the finest hotels in the country. Definitely looking forward to staying there again during my next visit to our Florida office.

Beautiful hotel centrally located. Very friendly staff. Great bar with entertainment. Nicely decorated spacious room.

Stylish, lovely facilities

You can never go wrong staying at The Alfond Inn at Rollins! Winter Park is a truly special place and having this hotel nestled in the middle of it next to Rollins College is awesome! Highly, highly recommended!

Such a lovely Inn. The art and architecture are so very lovely. The room is very comfy and spacious. The food is both healthy and yummy. We truly loved our stay.

Beautiful establishment and in the perfect location. I went for work and there was a lot of awesome restaurants in the area to go to for supper. Also awesome for morning of afternoon walks
