Best Baltic Hotel Palanga

Please avoid this hotel booking if you don’t want to be cheated. We’ve purchased deluxe room but received during check in much worse room (even refrigerator didn’t work) for the same money. As a solution hotel suggested for us to cancel our paid reservation. It’s the worst hotel in Palanga.

I never write bad reviews, because everyone's tastes are different, but this time I can't be silent - this is the worst vacation and money to the puddle. The staff is very unpleasant, rude. The red-haired barmaid did not even manage to speak quietly with her colleague, but said out loud: " the rules do not apply to these villagers." Because we came to breakfast at 10 o'clock, when breakfast was written before 10:30, and they said that until 10. We specially took the suite room, but we had not yet seen such a terrible picture. The child had to sleep in the living room, because there was no other bed for him, although we paid money for it. The bedroom bed was of such hardness that my husband chose to sleep on the ground - not a mattress on the bed, but a board. Every morning we heard how the bubbles of the bubble bath at the bottom are turned on every time - soundproofing is a tragedy - and here the suite is? I don't even want to talk about food, because we just didn't eat it - we found the leftovers, the fruits and give wither, the pancakes put on the table completely cold, the coffee machines barely worked.
I am very sorry for the money spent - I do not offer anyone to ride here.

The quality of the rooms is very poor, not worth the price. You pay about 90 eur per night. you still get a "hole". The service is good, but the rooms look very poor. Free High Speed Internet (WiFi) is not working. The walls of the rooms are paper, everything you hear is what people are talking about. If you want to relax, this is definitely not the place for you.

Veldig bra opphold. Eneste negative jeg har å bemerke er at de ikke hadde vifter/AC på rommet. Det var ekstremt varmt på rommene.

Staff was polite and nice to us, but apart from that, the hotel is not worth the money. It claims to be 4*, but it looks outdated and old, although it seemed clean. Breakfast was at best mediocre, but the real tragedy was dinner.. we booked a two night stay in a lux and had dinner included on saturday night, which I was really looking forward to. First, we got boletus soup, which was clearly made from the instant soup pack with some additional pieces of some mushroom thrown in. The portion size was really small, probably for the best, considering it tasted aweful. Then came the main - I had salmon and my husband had veal. Both was not eddible. My salmon tasted like salt and had a side of some frozen veggies boiled with more salt. Veal was overcooked and had a side of fries and.. ketchup:)) And oh, the dessert! We didn’t get any, because they ran out or so we understood. The waitress was very sorry and we felt sorry for her. During this agony that this dinner was, we happened to hear some arguing from the kitchen, that poor girl looked like she was really stressed,so I guess something whent really wrong there. All in all, stay away ;)

Definitely not a 4* Hotel! Absolutely shocking size of a room for the price ( €107) bathroom was two feet away from the bed, no air conditioning so we had to leave our tiny window open and it was very noisy. Won't be returning

“When we arrived at Best Baltic, we were made very welcome by the staff member at reception. We were given an introductory of the hotel and its facilities which was very welcoming. Our room was spotless and clean. Breakfast had all that you needed to start the day off cereals, cooked breakfast etc was included in our room rate which was embarrassing given the room rate was 60euro ( we would have been more than happy to have paid extra ) We will recommend this hotel to our daughter who along with her partner are visiting next year

Unbelievable what sort of reviews you can read here.The hotel has three different buildings ,It appears fairly modern and the rooms are quite small. they are usually equipped with tea and coffee making things,there were 2 teabags provided.there is also a small fridge and a cooking spot and some pots etc.More like a holiday appartment and very close to the terribly noisy promenade which however leads to the beach.the noise from the promenade stays with you most of the night.the breakfast room is small,the breakkie very poor and just the essentials served.
the restaurant with laminated tables in and out is very small.Consolation:along the little steam towards the promenade you can find some nice places.

Gintaro is Lithuanian language and means amber. This is a ver good hotel centrally located. We had a room that had an entrance to garden, suitable especially for those who like outdoor life or smoking.
The restaurant served locals and tourists. There is also a Spa in the hotel but didn’t go there because there was a lot to do and watch in the town.
Special Thanks and greetings to the dark haired Mrs. receptionist. She was very helpful in many ways.

Great hotel! Good location, not far from beach. Amazing service, make you feel very welcome. Spa before breakfast was great idea. Buffet for breakfast really nice. Definitely comeback again and again.

Having stayed at many many hotels sround the world this hotel is the best so far..Very clean rooms and very spacious... Very good reception staff and bar staff.. Great selection for breakfast everyday... Nice spa facilties...stayed herw for 7 nights and was a very welcoming place and some staff also spoke good english..Next time we visit Palanga we certainly will not search for a hotel as Best Baltic will be where we stay for sure .... Ratings say hotel is 4* but i think deserves to be 5* ...... Well done everybody there keep up good work .... Regards Paul + Audrone

The hotel is in a nice location. It is a bit of a walk to the beach but it is in a quiet neighborhood so that's OK. The staff is wonderful. The problem was the room. It is tiny and hot and looks like it should be a dorm room in a summer camp. Not only small but poor, unattractive design. It was too hot to sleep so the receptionist gave me a fan and that helped a lot. Rima is an enthusiastic and helpful person.

This hotel does not deserve its rating as rooms are basic, buffet breakfast offers poor quality standard of food

This hotel is very central location . Shopping centre is a few minutes walk from the hotel . Bars and restaurants are just around the corner from the hotel . If you are travelling by bus from the airport it's about 15 minutes walk from the station .

No shampoo in a shower - only soap. Nosy place - you can hear your neighbours. Kitchen stuff has smoking place close to apartments. No carpets. Breakfast on weekends served till 11am. We came on 10.30 and there was almost nothing left. Anyway, the choice was not so big. I've been in many 3stars hotels and there were much better.

Ļoti bagātīgas brokastis

Staff were welcoming, polite, smiling. Our room was dark and very small, no view. TV was poor quality. Breakfast was nice, lots to choose from. Location was OK, also parking - always a free parking lot. Disappointment - small spa center, which is open only in the morning ( nobody goes to sauna at 8 A.M in Lithuania)
