Conviniance of getting to hotel and onward trip
Not very clean looking in need of paint job. Scafold outside window very hot in room dispite having fans available unable to have window open due to scaffold outside
Close to the train station. Big parking lot.
Close to port and shops.
Room was too hot, breakfast was poor
Location
The breakfast choice was poor
Location
Nothing in the shower room. No room for hanging anything. Have to go out to put on clothes.
Bed was comfy
Sink was blocked, a lot of not so nice people in property - speaking to lady in morning said housed people from council ect. If I knew this I would never have booked felt unsafe all night
Rooms were clean and tidy.
Didn’t mention it was in a retail park area. Very hot rooms- no ac. Shower steams into room.
Window could be opened & a fan was available in the room. Tea/coffee/milk sachets & kettle provided on request as was a hair dryer. Staff helpful & friendly. Continental breakfast was ok.
McDonald's next to the hotel is being refurbished; I was woken up before 0700 hrs by grinding machinery. 2 police officers were on the premises when I checked in. At just over £100 for the night, I do feel slightly ripped off. No hand towels in the room & having to ask for tea/coffee etc.
Insect everywhere in bed
Simple
Toilet door won’t close
No kettle , host said it’s broken and didn’t get us one.. it wasn’t only me
Everything.
Nothing.
The position of the hotel is excellent- within walking distance of whatever part of Southampton you want to go (walk) to. It was important to us to be able to walk around, especially because we went to a concert at Guildhall Square and took a ferry to the Isle of Wight (it took us approx. 10-15 minutes to walk there). It is also next to McDonald's, which is practical for a morning/evening snack. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Everything was as expected / stated on booking.com. The hotel is good if you just need a clean room to sleep in and no need for extra amenities. A hairdryer would be appreciated.
It did what it said it would do. A budget hotel that we needed after coming off of a cruise as we weren’t flying home till the next day. And you could walk to the old town and the port
The staff were under pressure BUT, handled it with humour and couldn’t do enough to help us. Particularly taking our suitcases off of us
Nothing
The room was hot, unable to open windows, one small noisy fan and lots of not so nice residents, it was dirty and not looked after
