location and value
The bathroom was not separated with a door. We would not stay again.
The bathroom was not a seperate room.
Omg nothing
We were three ladies and we had a bunk bed over the bed, which none of us could climb the ladder, however we pulled the mattress off the bed and slept on the floor, but there again it was a budget ( never again)
L'emplacement, près du port pour une croisière, près de la gare,
Decent place to stay for the price. No frills, but that wasn't my main reason for choosing Ibis budget.
Just a little cut rate for my spouse, but perfect for myself.
Dave on Reception is an asset....friendly, helpful and with a smile. Rooms were basic but just what we needed for the weekend.
Good locality for station and cruise terminal
Nothing as all good
The staff was exceptional, breakfast was also excellent in quality and presentation.
As my wife was handicapped the staff went out of there way to assist her
More sunshine, less fog and rain.
Location - close to cruise ship
Value
The room was located at the front of the hotel and was not comfortable.
The room was located at the front of the hotel and had scaffolding up so you could not open window fully…
The air conditioning in the rooms was being fixed at the time , so we had to sleep in 27 degree heat , and all we had to keep us cool was a small table fan.
The owner tried to be helpful , but was rather abrupt in his manner.
Rating overall 3/10…
Would not stay here again….
Location was great but that was it
Room was very small plus I had breakfast including with my stay but when I asked about a breakfast bag as I had to leave early for a flight I didn’t receive it so wasn’t happy at all
Clean and friendly
Too hot
Rooms far too small
Not enough drinks available to purchase
Absolutely ridiculous prices due to concerts in the area:
Not worth what was paid
Easy to get to and accessible to town.
We paid approx £90 each to stay in a very small triple room. The website gave parking website for West Quay parking about 10 mins walk away £15 for 24hours, when there was parking outside the hotel for £12 for 24hours. There was no easy access tea or coffee options or a cooked breakfast.
close to the city centre and the railway station.
The two ladies staff members were lovely and helpful on my arrival the room was clean and well presented with plenty of towels and soaps overall I would recommend this hotel.
It's a small point I make the hotel rooms could do with an update the room was spotless just a small suggestion .
This as the name suggests it is a budget hotel so don’t expect any frills and you won’t be disappointed. Yes it was tired in places and basic but it’s adequate for a short stay. Two nights in my case. Our room was on the 3rd floor at the back overlooking the McDonalds, but despite some reviews mentioning the noise, we didn’t find it so. The room was clean, the air con worked so room wasn’t hot. Powerful shower with plenty of hot water. We didn’t have the breakfast so can’t comment. The reason for the four stars is due to the check in process. An email was received 24 hrs before the stay inviting me to speed up the check in process by going it online. So I did. However on arrival it certainly wasn’t quick. Also the room we got allocated - the double room, wasn’t the one I check in on - which was the triple room, which when I initially book was the one allocated. It wasn’t an issue as there was only two of us but it might have caused an issue otherwise.
The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in and the pillow was perfect too, hence I had a good night's sleep. Location was good near to the train station and a 25 minute walk to St Mary's Stadium.
There was no separate bathroom. The wash basin was in the bedroom and the shower was in the corner of the room, neither were separated from the bedroom so there was no privacy whatsoever. Luckily the toilet was separate.
My adult daughter had to clamber up and down steps to get into and out of the bunk bed. I think a bunk bed is not really appropriate for a grown woman. At no point were we asked our ages or whether one of us was a child. We were only there for one night so accepted things as they were. If we had been there for any longer we would have asked for another room
N/a
No kettles available
Good location with car parking
Room was very small and felt like we were in a hostel. Pillows were awful, but beds comfy. Not much choice in food or drink in reception area
