Die Suite hat ein sehr kleines Bad, das Bett ist für große Menschen etwas zu kurz und sehr weich
A wonderful hotel that is running by a fantastic , charming hostess I recommend it most highly.
Hôtes très gentils et arrangeants !
Hôtel situé en plein coeur de Monemvasia juste en face de la mer et à deux pas de la plage de la ville.
Nous recommandons fortement !!!
THEOPHANO is such a classy hotel. Mrs Fani and Mr Christos have built an elegant place that captures the beauty of Monemvasia. It is built in the most picturesque spot of the village. Thank you for your accommodation and kindness, hope to be back soon.
The suite we reserved had hardly been cleaned. The room itself was spacious but the bathroom was extremely tiny. If you were not careful and lifted your arms in the shower you might break the glass door and hurt yourself. Thin mattress and even thinner pillows. Hardly any wifi or tv reception.
Excellent location, along the award-winning town square, in the heart of the fortress, and thus easy to walk to and from, yet at once very quiet and private. The hotel is charming architecturally speaking on both the outside and the inside, with historically furnished rooms and common areas. The hosts are kind and personable, and the breakfast they serve is quite original and just delicious!
Pulito e raffinato. Ottima posizione con spettacolare vista sul mare.
the beautiful square frond of hotel and beautiful ballgons
Incredible location by public swimming area. The hotel has a lovely roof top terrace available to guests. The proprietors built this wonderfully-situated property themselves years ago and are rightfully proud of it. They were welcoming and helpful orienting us around Monemvasia. Overall, our stay was very comfortable and our room was clean, secure and quiet. If they would upgrade their mattresses and pillows, I would rate it a 5.
The Hotel is in front of the sea with a beautiful view of the little church. The Hosts are really welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is home made and delicious! The Castle is full of lovely restaurants, natural pools and ancient monuments. It is a relaxing place full of history.
I was really happy with the room, service and place I will recommand this place completly!
Perfect location, friendly and helpful staff who really wanted to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible and ensure we saw all the best bits of Monemvasia
The Theophania is a beautifully restored house with charming hosts. We stayed in the Konstantin room which has a large terrace with a tiny bit of sea view from the terrace and the room was light an airy for a Monemvasia room.
Incredible opportunity to stay in a 700 year old fortress where the hotel has been tastefully refurbished with modern conveniences such as air conditioning. Be sure to take the opportunity to see the basement which was the original entrance to the home.
Theophana was an amazing host who had such enthusiasm for her hotel and surroundings.
This hotel is right in the castle and the place is a maze and hard to walk on the stone type path and tons and tons of steps everywhere. Helpful hint!! As you first walk into the castle, bear to the left even though the hotel sign says to go to the right. Going to the right is a much longer and confusing way to go. Bearing to the left is the main path and you will see signs for the hotel as you keep walking. Once there, One of the girls did come out and help us with the bags. We had a suite and it was a very nice size room with high ceilings and a lovely view outside the balcony but it did have a tiny bathroom with a shower. If you are a big person, it will be hard to take shower. I am small and I had a hard time. There is little street parking and you have to park your car down the hill in single file. You can either take a bus up to the castle (1 euro each way) - and the bus comes every 30 minutes or walk up. The castle has some restaurants and cute little unique shops. The owner of the hotel doesn't speak English well so it was hard to communicate with her and the rest of the staff speaks NO English at all but are all very nice people and are helpful. The Virgo room, had the tallest ceiling and door walkway from the few that I saw and a lovely view outside the balcony. The wifi did not work well in our room and was limited to the large bed that "sometimes" worked.
Theophano Art Hotel was everything, and more than we hoped, for our stay in Monemvasia! Our room was spotless, and so quaint with its fireplace and patio viewing the sea! The location at the edge of town was so quiet and peaceful, though a bit of a challenge with heavy luggage to transport. We learned that we need to travel lighter! Our continental breakfast was served as scheduled by our very friendly and helpful hostess who upgraded our room without charge! You will not be disappointed with a stay at Theophano Art Hotel in magical Monemvasia!
The hotel is gorgeous! Awesome decoration and great hospitality! A place for romance! The breakfast was heavenly and the town is beautiful. My only observation was that the room needs more pillows because I usually have three or four around me, which is a bit of a problem outside of my house, but the owner was awesome and provided the extra pillows I asked.
Excellent stay, A1 hotel conditions, just renovated not that long ago, excellent location: right in the lower old town, very close to access the upper town ruins, perfect ocean view.
The hotel owner Fani made us feel very special as soon as we arrived after a pleasant 10 minute walk through the cobblestoned streets and the lovely shops.
