Service
Very Good Hotel, For stay with Family. Would Surly stay again. Except the Lobby, and the corridors, every thing was good.
Lobby and corridors was hot (No AC/ Ventilation)
Good and polite staff. Quick and easy revert and solutions for all issues.
Horrible customer service
Pool was disappointing - a bit old dirty and rusty, could not use it 😟
But everything else was lovely. Big spacious room, very nice staff.
It was good for the price. Food available at all meal times.
The hotel was perfectly fine however the area it is located in is absolutely dreadful since rubbish lorries converge on the area due to it's proximity to a waste disposal area! Also, there are no shops nearby, only car mechanic garages and car and motorcycle parts places. The only reason I stayed in the area is due to it's proximity to the delightful Botanical Gardens which provides a welcome escape from Bangalore's traffic
Their Staff was very polite and ambience was amiable.
Most attractive part is the location as it is bang in the city. However, nearby location is a huge let down. The hotel is quite clean and the rooms are good size. However, the bed sheets and duvet covers are quite dated and looked reused for a long time. This is one thing they need to change. Breakfast was alright with mostly Indian options.
I found it was not worth the money. Barely clean (floor was ok but there was hair in the bathroom, on the sink and so on). Not that I'm picky but according to the price I would have expected better condition. The front desk called me at 8.30am to check what time I would move out, glad I was awake already... Breakfast is Ok for Indian standards, limited for western food.
area of town isn't that nice. staff are helpful and the restaurant is good. pool area wasn't appealing and probably gets smog from cars.
The hotel is okay. However, it is not located in an ideal place. For instance, it does not have any stores, restaurants or shopping places nearby. It is not suitable for an evening or morning walk. The spa is okay, but not the best. The hotel does not seem to have a general policy in arranging taxi services. Hence, it depends on the staff who is at work in the front desk - some helps to arrange the taxi, while others said that the guests should make his / her own arrangements. The food is delicious. The amenities are not so good. For instance, the minibar is empty. The room does not even have the hangers!
Good service
I've been in India for 4 months and I've seen some pretty dismal hotels but Springs Hotel blew me away from check-in to check-out. They allowed early check in and for a reasonable fee a late check out, the room, bed, AC, and shower were great, the entire place was spotless and the cheese and mushroom omelette I had for breakfast was as good as I've had anywhere! Very impressed and well worth the money, particularly if you want something better than basic accommodation for a night or two.
My stay was comfortable and quite peaceful despite the festival atmosphere of the neighbourhood during my stay. Although a little shabby, the hotel was clean and the staff friendly and obliging. I particularly enjoyed the variety of the breakfast buffet. The bar at the top of the hotel was not as pleasant, however, and did not seem welcoming to solo female travellers. I would recommend the Springs Hotel for its excellent location and hospitality.
Location: so so, Lalbagh is not the cleanest neighborhood, the front street is quite busy, the back of the hotel has a shanty-town view.
Getting there: the hotel is known in the neighborhood and sticks out by its design and overall cleanliness compaired to the neighboring places.
Staff: excellent service. Almost everybody I interacted with had a good english, which matters for non-indian travellers. Very helpful and attentive, this is their best asset.
Room: stayed 1 night in the small room. Large size and good lighting (although one switch in the bathroom was stuck on "on"), AC and fan worked good. The room was spacious and clean. Guests being noisy in the hallways is a problem, but this is India; so far only Int'l 4 and 5 stars have been good at shielding off all noises. Street noise is not a problem as most rooms face the back of the hotel.
Cleanliness: very good work at improving indian hotels' standards. The hotel, the bathroom and spa were clean. Under the bed and inside furnitures was just a bit dusty. The bathroom is the general killer in India even at international hotels like the Crown Plaza where I stay for work in B'lore and Delhi, and where the level is just not up western standards for 4/5 stars hotels.
Here, the effort was definitely made to improve the cleanliness; not international level but well above the mark for a hotel offering 30 to 40 USD per night.
Overall, quite happy and definitely an option for all travellers who want a bit of extra comfort.
Hotel is more 3 than 4 star. Local area is terrible. Staff are always willing to help. Several better options available. I had major issue with noise from the slum next door, leaking air conditioning, no hot water etc.
Amazed by the quality of service! Possibly the most helpful and welcoming staff I have ever experienced in my life! Truly excellent in every way A+ Room was superb and the buffet breakfast and food were both exceptional!
Comfortable stay with helpful staff. ease of arranging transfer and drop in for shopping sightseeing
