The restaurant at the hotel was *superb*. Food in Taiwan is generally good, and we had some pretty good meals around the area, but we didn't expect the best meal we had in Kaohsiung to be one lift away, albeit a little pricier than most meals in the area. Coffee was also top-tier. Don't waste the opportunity to have at least one meal there.
Also, staff were pleasant and lovely. We asked for food recommendations and they gave a really great spot.
Bed was a little hard and pillows were a little soft—could imagine not everyone would love this. I did still sleep well but my partner struggled a little?
None.
As an international traveler with over 20 years of experience, this was a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience—especially as it occurred on the final day of a two-month trip.
On my last day, I received a message via Booking.com stating I would be charged NT$6,300 (USD $179) for a few very small drops of red wine on a bedsheet. The hotel determined the stains were “permanent” and initiated a replacement charge before attempting any cleaning. The tone of the message was accusatory and unprofessional.
I immediately returned to the hotel and personally cleaned the spots using basic soap and water. The stains were removed without difficulty. Only after this did the hotel agree to waive the charge.
The room design contributes directly to this issue. The single rooms are extremely compact, with no chair or seating area, and there is no common lounge. The bed is effectively the only place to sit, eat, or relax. At the same time, the hotel provides a wine opener and a lobby coffee machine, and guests regularly bring food and drinks back to their rooms.
Issuing a “permanent damage” claim before attempting proper cleaning reflects a lack of due diligence. It is also not appropriate to place the burden on a guest to prove that an item can be cleaned. The fact that the stains were easily removed demonstrates that the initial assessment was incorrect.
There were visible shoe marks on the wall under the desk and scuff marks along the walls likely from luggage, which makes the strict stance on minor, removable stains even more inconsistent.
The experience left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Dealing with multiple messages and escalation significantly affected my well-being and my ability to relax and enjoy the remainder of my stay. I became overly cautious—even avoiding normal use of the bed out of concern for further accusations.
This experience reflects a “guilty until proven innocent” approach that is not aligned with basic hospitality standards.

친절 때문에 10점.
the hotel was beautiful and very nice. lots of amenities like an espresso machine, coffee, and tea downstairs. the room was comfortably spacious. it was clean and modern. staff was inviting and helpful. we ended up coming here after our first hotel option was a complete nightmare. so this was a last minute booking, but inns hotel still accommodated us and were very gracious and welcoming. would definitely recommend and would come back here if in the area again.
didn't love how the luggage storage was right in the lobby for everyone to see and potentially touch. i guess they don't have a spare room somewhere to put so much luggage. there is a ticket system to make sure you only take what is yours and they check it before you can touch the bags, but i'm not sure how well monitored they are. also once you've checked out and when you are picking up the bags later on in the day, there no public bathrooms to use, which kind of sucks.
没有停車位,很不方便
味道很舒服,公共區咖啡機很棒
