Very reasonably priced
Rooms are clean
Beds are comfortable
Bathrooms clean and fresh towels daily.
Staff at reception all very friendly & helpful.
Location is good as close to metro & not far from the centre but without the pricetag associated.
No frills but you get what you pay for and it's a bad holiday where you spend enough time in your hotel room for that to matter
Free WiFi
Excellent restaurants around the corner within minutes walking distance
Hotel has a restaurant but it was closed during our stay so we didn't get to visit it
Repeat stay at this friendly hotel convenient for Praha hl.n. station and city centre. Good breakfast from 7 o'clock and comfortable quiet room. Friendly English speaking staff. Also good to see that the resturant is now open again in the evening with an italian style menu.
Very bad experience air conditioning doesn't work the breakfast the worst ever sugar with insects inside scrambled and sausages totally cold the staff didn't care at all very bad time I wi ask for refund
The location was terrific! The hotel is close to both the old city and to new, exciting places in other parts of Prague. The staff was super friendly. WiFi was a bit slow, that was annoying. Still, a nice hotel.
Quiet, friendly hotel not too far from the City Centre , but far enough to be quiet. Being on my own, I was allocated a single-bedded room right on the 6th floor, which was a bit"cosy", but it was comfortable enough . The breakfast was a little basic. If yopu want a traditional British fry-up you would be disappointed, but what you got was of good quality and was plentiful.
A couple of niggles-the shower in the room was one of those which had a half-millimetre of adjustment between freezing and scalding. The automatic lights in the corridors were slow to come on and swift to go off, leaving one in the dark far too much, and the card system for operating the lift was baffling, especially if two people going to two different floors were trying to use it.
However all in all it was perfectly good value for money
Large and clean room. Great morning breakfast, friendly english speaking staff. I would stay there again. Away from very busy touristy area but close enough to walk everywhere. And reasonable rates too!
We were within walking distance of everything needed. The front desk folks were always friendly and helpful. After a missed airport pickup happened from another company, they went out of their way to find me a ride and get me to the airport on time.
An overall positive experience, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Prague looking for a bit of affordable luxury.
The building is situated in a quiet street, but close to the center and tram/metro, so it’s easy to walk or ride to where you need to go. If you come by train or Airport Express, the walk from the station is only 10 minutes.
The hotel itself is very nice, cozy and extremely clean - I’ve stayed in other 4 star hotels that in no way lived up to this standard. The rooms (singles) are a nice size, with antique, but well kept furnishings and a wonderful, big bathroom with a great shower. There was a comfortable bed, a big closet and a nice desk, with a small refrigerator. The lighting especially was soft and nice. I also liked that there were no snacks or drinks on offer in the room, as they’re often heavily overpriced and just clutter up the room.
We stayed in the rooms facing the garden, so it was very quiet, even though the hotel seemed full. The staff was friendly and helpful, and could guide us regarding transport and such as needed.
The restaurant is nice, but the breakfast food was a bit bland and I could have wished for a smaller cake selection in exchange for more actual food. The coffee is good though!
There’s also a small supermarket and a great restaurant (Sova) next door, so if you’re looking to get some food or snacks close by, I’d recommend those.
One thing I missed was a closed outdoor area to enjoy a cup of coffee or a smoke, but otherwise, our stay was wonderful and I’d definitely stay here again!
Lovely hotel, clean and in a quiet area of the city but within walking distance of all the sights. Air conditioned for the summer months. Hair dryer, fridge in room but no tea/coffee facilities so take a travel kettle and supplies. Staff very welcoming and reception always manned. No problem arriving earlier than check in and storage rooms for cases for late check out. Very good selection for breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again.
Clean and comfortable, and near most all of the gay life in Vinohdrady. Easy access to the old city and all of the beautiful buildings and sights of this gorgeous city. A must to visit. So walkable and great public transit.
Stayed here for 3 nights. Beds were comfy. Location is great. Walkable to almost all sightseeing locations. Good breakfast options. Pillows are quite soft so if you are someone like me, then ask for an extra pillow. Also, this hotel is within walking distance of Prague main train station.
The hotel is in a very good location, within easy reach of the city centre, no need for taxis and walking distance from the train station. ery friendly lady on reception and the room was clean and comfortable. Great price and good value for money considering that breakfast is included in the price.
Not a luxury hotel as such, but it is the perfect place to stay when visiting Prague and location wise, very very good! Definately recommended by me.
We stayed here in December at the weekend and were not disappointed. Beds are comfortable and staff are friendly. Yes it’s a little dated in places but so what? It adds character for me. It was spotlessly clean. There is a pub across the road (and up maybe 20 metres) which, in my opinion, is the best craft beer venue in Prague. That really added to the whole experience for me. If you want a sanitised Marriott style business hotel then maybe this isn’t for you. If you want a good location and a nice place to lay your head without paying a fortune this is great. I’ll be back.
We came as a couple and experienced great treatment. The staff were kind and generous. The breakfast was full, varied and served by healthful people. The cleaning was flawless and the location is central. If you're looking for a great and worthy place,go there!! ❤
The location of Hotel Arkada is nearly perfect. It is within walking distance from the city center (about 7-10 minutes walk to Wenceslas Square even considering the fact I needed to take some detour, due to construction works near the National Museum). However also given the proximity to the city center, the hotel is located in a quiet residential and non-tourist area - Vinohrady. As of public transportation options, the hotel is close to the Namesti Miru (green line) and I.P. Pavlova (red line) metro stations; the abovementioned locations can also be used to board various trams. In particular, on I.P. Pavlova one could board trams no. 22 and 23 which go all the way to Prague Castle.
As a solo traveler, I booked a single room facing the courtyard and with A/C (not all hotel rooms are air-conditioned, so that feature needs to be specified during booking) which was indeed according to my expectations. It was a simple room, however very decent-looking (see several photos I took just before check-out, so the bed is not perfectly made :-) ).
It includes a writing desk, a small fridge, a spacious wardrobe and a TV set with several channels in Czech, English and Russian.
The room was equipped with a well-functioning bathroom featuring WC, a shower, a hairdryer and an electric towel drier. Hand soap, shower gel and a vanity set (did not use it and do not know what is inside :-) ) were provided.
Although I stayed in the hotel for 5 nights only and never left any mess behind, it was apparent that my room was tidied at least once or twice - including towels replacement, although I did not ask for that (in Arkada, you could ask for towels replacement by simply putting them on the floor).
The breakfast was relatively simple on the one hand, however it was tasty and offered some choice for a nourishing day-starting meal on the other hand.
Eventually, I must stress the highly competent service of all hotel employees I encountered. In particular, the reception desk workers Igor, Eugenia and Anora (all of them fluent in both English and Russian) were always very kind and ready to assist me with any question I had. For instance, I arrived at the hotel at around 11:00AM due to an early-morning flight, and was checked-in instantly.
The Caesar restaurant workers also did their best for the breakfast to run smoothly and were very kind to all guests coming for breakfast.
The only feature I would add to the amenities of the room is a compact tea/coffee corner, which would be handy after a long day of exploring Prague.
In the bottom line, I think that the 75 EUR per night I paid for that stay were a reasonable price for what I got. I would definitely recommend Hotel Arkada!
We had a very nice 4 night stay at the Arkada Hotel. The bedrooms were large and very tastefully furnished. It was nice to have a fridge in the bedroom. The hotel staff were very helpful. We asked for more pillows and they were delivered immediately . The hotel is very convenient for the Metro and Wenceslas Square. Breakfast buffet was adequate. Would definitely return.
woken up by A track collecting trash at 5 in the morning. The truck was around for over half an hour. Room near the street can be really noisy.
location is good. All the restaurants we booked are within walking distance.
Fine and clean Hotel. Breakfast wasn´t all that good, but okay for the price. The hotel was located close to the centre of Prague, just 10 min away. If you travel as a couple, notice that the beds in the rooms might be seperated.
This is our second trip to Prague and this hotel. First in October and second in April 18 months apart. All in all the hotel has maintained similar experience. The location is on the outer fringe if central but is walkable and has easy access to transport. Has small fridge in room which is bonus. Beds comfortable. All furniture and rooms older but maintained fairly well. The breakfast is a good bonus. In the basement there are several tables to self serve, toast, and cold sides an fruit. But again great coffee and juices.
Good value for money.
