I do not tecommend it
Pros:

Location is good but rooms are not clean , no services whatsoever , staff is lazy they saw me taking my bags down the stairs on my check out ( elevator is a floor below) and did not even offer to help no change of plankets or room cleaning service etc no shower supplies at all , bathroom is old and not in a working condition.

i'll rate the hotel good overall
Pros:

it was a great experience with the atmostphere at night, i'll rate the hotel good. the overall service was excellent especially cos of a staff called mahmoud who is a very nice man and always ready to help

Good clean friendly
Pros:

This is a for Egyptian Hotel. No shower curtain, the room is clean, the bed is comfortable. The owner does not speak much English but always had somebody to translate. He is the most friendly, charming person you will meet in Egypt. We had a few mosquitos at night. The breakfast was as good as any other we had in Egypt. Location is close to metro which is cheap and convenient. Perfect for budget oriented traveler.

Great Place to Stay in Egypt!
Pros:

Family Palace Hotel is a nice cozy place to stay when visiting Egypt. It is in downtown Cairo, 20 min away from Giza Pyramids, 15 min walk from Cairo Egyptian Museum and 10 min walk from restaurants and coffee shops. I am very lucky to have met Mostafa, the manager, who made me feel right at home. Every morning and night, I was offered coffee or tea. The room I stayed in was air conditioned with double beds and a bathroom. It is very clean and comfortable.
In addition, Mostafa arranged an awesome tour of Egypt, based on the schedule that I had made for myself. The tour included visit to the Giza Pyramids, Bent Pyramid, Step Pyramid, Islamic Cairo, Coptic Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor (1 night stay), Aswan (1 night stay), Hot Air Balloon, Felucca on the Nile for an unbelievable price!
The whole staff at Family Palace is very friendly and are always making sure that you are ok.
I highly recommend this hotel for those travelers looking to journey through Egypt alone or with company, and definitely suggest seeking Mostafa for a tour package. He will make sure to meet your customized travel schedule of Egypt.
