Staff, location
The hotel is very nice, and the staff is friendly.
However, for a hotel that charges premium rates, I would not expect to see a sign in the dining room stating that guests must pay for a sandwich taken from the breakfast buffet.
It's near of all
By Icelandic standards above average country hotels. Nice rooms, Nespresso machine, toiletries etc. Friendly staff, nice location right at the harbour, tasty breakfast. To improve: curtains are not blackout; breakfast room too small so becoming very busy very soon; poor sound insulation.
Nice view from room. If you have a room facing west, beware the room gets hot on sunny days. Few dinner options nearby. Go early. The service level in the hotel is basic. The breakfast is appalling. Slow motion staff, mediocre food, small breakfast room. Easy to park the car in front. Probably not many alternatives in town. Think twice.

Lovely views of the ocean and the harbor. Close to restaurants, walking distance to many. Breakfast was good. Room was clean and comfy, nice toiletries. Would definitely stay here again.

Crowded places to eat dinner
Lovely staff on reception, always very helpful. There is no dining room, but we were given a sheet of suggestions for places to eat. Comfortable room, with amazing view across to several glaciers. Room was very hot due to full sun all day, but there was a big fan which we left on all night, and it cooled down as the sun moved round.
No lift to upper floor, but there are rooms on ground floor if this is a problem. Bathroom is very small.
