Pros:

EXCELLENT location right next to subway station which is one stop away from taipei main station, across the street from michelin breakfast spot, and close to two(!) convenience stores; comfortable bedding; coin laundry room; friendly & accomodating front desk staff; suitcases brought up to your room. overall convenience and comfort cannot be beat for a visit to taipei!

This has to be one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in!!!
Pros:

This hotel was ultimately chosen as a balance against it's location, facilities, price and after an extensive study of earlier reviews.

The location was excellent - we walked about 500 metres from Taipei main station to the hotel (with two cabin bags) on arrival - an easy walk on good pavements. The metro is also available by using the Blue Line, with the hotel being less than 50 metres from Exit 6 at Shandao Temple station. Useful tip: Buy a 24-hour, 48-hour or 7-day metro card - extremely good value for money in Taipei.

The staff were superb throughout our stay - reception (especially Mr Jeff Lee - who gave such good advice on where to go, etc), house-keeping, the breakfast staff and the day-lounge staff, who all provided excellent service throughout our stay. We asked for an iron on arrival and a few minutes later it was delivered to our room - real service! Our room was prepared to a very high standard and the room was made-up and maintained promptly (at timings of our choosing). This hotel truly provides Service with a capital "S".

Breakfast was one of the best we have ever experienced - the range of food was impressive (both quantity and quality) and as my wife said "How am I going to be able to try everything in three days" on our first morning's breakfast. 10 out 10 for the breakfasts!

Our room was impressive and maintained at the highest of standards - it was very comfortable, with superb bathroom facilities. The safety box was large and easy to use - no grovelling on the floor like some hotels.

Our overall score for this hotel was 10 (thus being a near-perfect rating), with everything being rate as excellent, except "value for money" (which we rated as "good"). This hotel was the most expensive of the 4 hotels we used in Taiwan, but despite its higher daily cost we happily endorse the price (as it certainly proves the saying "you get what you pay for").

Central convenient hotel location
Pros:

Great convenient location, clean and nicely sized room, comfortable bed (seemed like 2 queens put together). Availability of memory foam pillows was a huge plus. Staff very friendly. Directly across from Fuhang, though the lines there can be ridiculous.

Cons:

As other reviewers have noted, water dispensers are only on 2/F and 3/F which can be fairly inconvenient. Breakfast included had decent variety but quite Westernized - would have preferred more local food choices.
