Modern, comfortable, clean and welcoming.
Pros:

Location was convenient to excellent restaurants. View of the river from our room was lovely. Vibe was modern. I’m 62, and I imagine that their target demographic is younger and more hip than I am, but I felt welcomed and was very comfortable during my stay.

Cons:

Nothing

Great place to stay close to Centennial Theatre
Pros:

We had a very nice time at the Mere while in town for a concert. Location on the river was scenic, and it was a short 5-minute walk to the concert hall. Room was a nice size and spotless, and staff accommodated all requests professionally and with a smile. Thank you!

Great hotel, needs to prioritize security
Pros:

I love this hotel and stay frequently however I was disappointed with the lack of security procedures with my recent stay. At check in, I was asked if I would be having any guests and I said NO! An hour later my date arrived early so instead of having him wait outside I told him to come in. He stopped at the front desk to register for parking. They allowed him to charge his parking to my room and OFFERED HIM A KEY TO MY ROOM WITHOUT CALLING ME FIRST! Calling to confirm should be standard practice before giving someone a key to a room they’re not listed on. I was on the phone with him listening to the entire interaction and he didn’t ask for a key, it was offered to him. I was shocked! Fantastic hotel, great value. I will stay again. I’d just like to see management review safety procedures with employees because this should never happen!

It was a very relaxing, enjoyable stay. Would definitely consider staying here again.
Pros:

Location downtown was great as we were able to walk from the hotel to the Centennial Concert Hall in 5 minutes. It was quiet & clean. Price was reasonable, even with the addition of the parking fee. We were able to order supper from a nearby restaurant, which was delivered to the hotel & added to our room cost. This was very convenient, especially since it was so cold outside!

Cons:

When the temperature in the room was too hot, we turned down the thermostat a degree or two, which unfortunately caused the heating/cooling system on the wall to blow cold air into the room in order to reach the desired temperature. It was a bit uncomfortable to have the cold air blowing on us for a while, but certainly not a deal breaker in deciding whether I would stay her again or not :)

Pros:

Property itself is great.

Cons:

Working in the hotel industry overseeing multiple properties, I was surprised and unhappy with the fact that after extending my stay from 4 days to 5 days, I was unable to get a late checkout, which resulted in me having to sit in the lobby for over 2 hours.

Processes are poor.

My favourite hotel in Winnipeg!
Pros:

My favourite hotel in Winnipeg! Warm and welcoming staff. Great views of the river. Real glasses, Nespresso coffee, spacious rooms, luxurious towels and fancy shampoo/body wash. Easy access to downtown and Canadian Museum for Human Rights. Excellent food and friendly staff at adjacent Cibo restaurant. Highly recommended.
