Hotel Kriunes - A city hotel by the lake

This is by far the BEST hotel we have stayed in so far! The staff was friendly and helpful. The hot tubs and saunas were clean. The hotel instantly smells delightful when you walk in, and the food is lovely. If we were not moving around the island we would just stay here every night!

Breakfast options are very good. Front desk staff, especially a young gentleman who works till mid night, is friendly and helpful about northern lights.

Beautiful setting on the water!! The room was so comfortable and clean.

The staff at check in, at the bar and restaurant were great. We had one of the older rooms which was clean but very dated.

Beautiful spacious rooms, the service here is excelent we had a very friendly receptionist check us in and offered a wakeup call if the northern lights showed up. Its so far the best cost to value ratio hotel ive stayed in iceland, great for birding if you like that. Hot tub is only open from 4pm to 10pm but it is geothermaly fed. Food in the resturant is fantastic, breakfast was great theres a mimosa bar thats included with breakfast.

This property is tucked away in this residential area. You would never know there is a hotel. The room I stayed in was beautiful. It had a great view and super lux amenities.
the food is excellent but be prepared it comes with a price tag as well. Bed was super comfy and I enjoyed my stay

My family like the overall environment of this hotel. Most staff were nice. However, the heat of one room went wrong. The room was hot when we arrived. We had to open windows to cool it down. Actually, it was August, no heat needed at all. The staff came to fix it several times, and finally the owner came. It was fixed at the end, but it passed 11pm already. We were exhausted. The facilitate is probably just too old.

We were not given a room that resembled the picture of the room I saw online. We were supposed to a a sleek, modern room with large glass windows overlooking a beautiful lake!

We got a ground floor room with mismatched old furniture, an old disgusting spa with a hand-held shower that my 79 yr old hubby had to crowd into!

We had some smaller windows with a view of a wall and a cinder driveway. Beyond that we could see the lake!

Definitely not what we thought we reserved and paid for!!

Really cool place. Staff was completely amazing. Above and beyond. And the breakfast was one of the most amazing I’ve ever had! I’d go back just for that!! The berry juice was so good, and so much variety. The restaurant looks out over the lake. Hot tub was just ok. Area around the hotel very pretty. Room was very spacious and well appointed, if dated in style. Removed one star for a musty smell and the very weird decor, including a strange and out of place Mexico theme.

Excellent staff and customer service! From check in to cocktails at the bar, it was a very enjoyable experience. Spacious room for our family of five.

The facility is very nice, spacious, and comfortable. Excellent and friendly staff.

We came in late after long day . The room was ok but the building is pretty old , the light in the bathroom and main bed room is not working . We try to ask the staffs to help but it’s really late ( we checked in after 11pm) staffs was not at the desk by the time we needed help with. We are group travel and the coffee in the room only has two capsules. We have to go to the dining room to get our coffee .

This hotel had the most amazing night staff. He bent over backwards when we arrived late from our flight, personally making us food and serving drinks after the kitchen closed. We got great recommendations and the breakfasts and dinners were fantastic. We got an upgraded room with an picturesque view of the lake at sunrise. It's a fantastic place!

Exceeded expectations at every turn. Great stay!
