Location was great.
Daily fluctuations in price, charge $40 for parking that was really tight and hard to drive through, elevator system that did not go to the garage unless you chose the right side- usually took forever for that elevator to come, bathroom area had mold and water damage on the door and floor molding, everyday we had to push water into the drain and use towels to dry the floor.
Staff were pleasant very professional.
Thought i was getting a sea view room turned out to be a partial view. After they put me in a room I didn't pay for with no view and two kings so I only spent 3 nights of the 4 in the one i payed for. I didn't read the fine print parking is 40 extra per night there are fees out the world in this place the water pressure was lacking severely for a 4 night stay 1600 should include more then what I can get at a Holiday Inn for a huge fraction of the price. This place charges like a resort with 0 resort amenities. Location was really all it had and even that the sea bird across the street same price I found has a lot more to offer with actual ocean views not gonna stay here again I'll look else where I definitely don't recommend it.
Location
When I called the location to verify my reservation, I requested a room with an ocean view if possible. The staff found me that room.🤩
The king size bed in room 506 has a definite slump in it on the right side next to the bathroom. Very likely from everyone sitting right there so they can see the best view out the window of the balcony.
Excellent customer service, breakfast included was very good, location and amenities. Keep up the excellent work
I liked everything. I can’t think of anything
Clean, nice staff and close proximity to the beach and shops.
The hotel was very clean and attractive. The people were nice, it's close to the beach and a number of restaurants in walking distance.
It's not a cheap hotel, which is fine, but for that money visitors shouldn't be CONSTANTLY hearing train crossing alarms. The tracks were there before the hotel, for the price there should be better sound-proofing. Instead you're given complimentary ear plugs. That's fine at a Best Western but not a hotel where the cost is measured in four dollar signs ($$$$).
The hotel was clean and reasonably efficient.
Despite the photos and the name, this hotel is NOT on the "oceanside" and has very limited views of it. Also despite the name, the rooms were NOT "suites" -- unless you consider erecting a see-through wall seperator in the middle of an ordinary room and putting a sofa on one side of it makes an ordinary room a "suite." Our room overlooked an area with dumpsters and so we were treated, early in the morning, to the sound of the dumpsters being emptied - the VERY LOUD sound of this happening (drowing out the already very loud sound of the A/C in our room). We then went downstairs to the very mediocre breakfast that was included with the room.
I recently took my grandsons on a winter vacation while school was out to southern California. We stayed the week at the Springhill Suites by Marriott in Oceanside, California, February 15-21, 2026. Springhill Suites by Marriott always provides a comfortable stay. And this was a first trip for my grandsons ages 6 and 16 to southern California. We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience in southern California. The location was perfect! The hotel is only a one block easy stroll to the picturesque "Big Blue" Pacific Ocean as my grandsons and I nicknamed it. And only one block in the opposite direction from our Hotel was the Oceanside transit station with the "Coaster" train that my 6 year old grandson who loves trains enjoyed very much. We took the Coaster commuter train from Oceanside down the gorgeous Pacific coast for the easy one hour ride to San Diego for day trips to San Diego and back to our hotel. It was so convenient and inexpensive. Complimentary hot breakfast was very good each morning at the hotel and my grandson especially enjoyed making himself a tasty waffle each morning. The rooms were nicely appointed and very clean which is always the Springhill Suites standard. There was very enjoyable live entertainment on the weekend on the second floor outside deck of the hotel. Everything at this hotel was perfect! But what impressed me the most as I have been a Marriott Bonvoy brands customer for over 20 years now was the customer service of the entire hotel staff at this location. Everyone from the front desk, to the staff at breakfast, to those who took care of the rooms and all of the staff throughout this hotel always greeted everyone with a warm good morning or good evening and a genuine smile that made you feel like a very welcomed guest at this hotel. Without a doubt, the entire staff at this Springhill Suites by Marriott Oceanside Beach location provided my grandsons and I the "Best All Around Customer Service Ever" that I have experienced in my 20 years as a loyal Marriott customer. And I salute and send special Thanks! to the following staff members at this location for their superb customer service and genuine caring for my family members during our stay with them in Oceanside, California. Thanks so much to Christian, Alexus, Danielle and Kaili and keep up the superb customer service you provide to All who visit you there at your Springhill Suites Oceanside Beach paradise. . . . . . We look forward to visiting with you again!

nice view and good breakfast
We had a very pleasant stay at SpringHill Suites San Diego Oceanside/Downtown. Everyone was friendly and helpful, from the front desk staff to the breakfast team in the morning. The service really made our stay enjoyable.
If you’re staying anywhere in Oceanside near the beach, there’s really no way to completely avoid the train sound — that’s just part of the area. That said, the hotel itself is wonderful. I would just recommend requesting a room not facing the train tracks if you’re a light sleeper.
Other than that, we had a very pleasant stay and want to give special kudos to the front desk for being so accommodating and welcoming.
This place is in the very heart of downtown Oceanside. It is one block from the beach. Almost every window can see something if you like trains, you would love this place the trains drive right by and my son who's on the autism spectrum loves the sound of the horn, the ocean is within view as is the pier. Even at night this place was so safe.
Some people may not like hearing the train, but it doesn't run in the middle of the night.
