Very calm and soothing, people are so friendly, beach is clean . Very nice quality time. Best to think and plan your life there. Very good views to take photos especially at the time of golden hour. I recommend that for yoh
the hotel is very nice and the staff are very friendly, we are here for first time, we will come back again in the Same hotel here we are really feel comfortable and the food is very tasty thank you very much..
Wide space, with an exotic beach. The beach area is uplifting to excersize and spend some relaxing time by its shore. Also the hotel is an excellent place for family with kids, as it has a drop of nursery for two hours during morning and two hours during afternoon, dinning area specialized for kids, and animation team one hour party after dinner. All stuff are punctual and welcoming.
My wife and I, we have been in this Resort in Krabi as 1 week vacation. The hotel staff was friendly and professional. Unfortunately not all the staff speak fluently English. The resort has three Swimming pool and they were great. The breakfast is amazing and in the afternoon the hotel organized a delicious afternoon tea. In one occasion we asked for lunch salad but wasn’t good, very poor plate, expensive for the standard and incomplete. The room was clean with nice view. The hotel is in the center of Krabi very close to the market, the sea and the beach.
DON’T BE FOOLED BY PHOTOS!
Very disappointed with this hotel which ultimately ruined our holiday and resulted in us coming home a week early.
Room: Very dated but generally kept clean by housekeeping staff. However, our toilet had been leaking on the floor since day one and after informing the staff, still nothing was done about it.
All inclusive: The waiting staff were very good at refilling drinks etc however the food was below average in the sense that it was always luke warm and they served the same things everyday. The only option of alcohol was one type of bad Egyptian lager and the gin/vodka etc were practically like drinking paint stripper! No cocktail options or drinks menus available. If you wanted to get a bottle of wine then they charge you 25€! It’s supposed to be ALL INCLUSIVE.
Entertainment: Zero entertainment provided and the bar always closed very early (usually between 10 and 11) resulting in little to no atmosphere within the resort. The WiFi did not work in the rooms either; only at reception and even then it was probably the slowest WiFi I’ve ever experienced and one day it wasn’t working at all.
The reception staff were less than helpful when it came to trying to book our airport transfer out of there. He literally said to me “What do you want me to do?” When I asked him to assist with contacting the taxi company.
Shocking service in general and it has made us never want to return to Egypt again.
I visited this nice hotel. I have to admit, here is the best staff. The best is Nouri and his Zumba dance, aqua gym and doing fire show. Everyone is really kind, barman and staff in restaurant. Room was cleaned everyday, the housekeeper did his job very well.
Animátor Nour Magdi is funny, he make a program for tourist, great and famouse fireshow. He is very comunicative. One of the best animanor I have ever seen. Hotel is very clean, very good food. Staff is very polite and kind. Beach is lovely 😍. There is nothing more to say. I'm looking forward to going back again.
On arrival it was very late at night and the first views were promising, large pool, bar by it and a quiet atmosphere, however as the two weeks we were staying continued more and more issues came. My first issue was the food, the first morning it was promising with a few selections but when lunch time came I was already having stomach issues. Every single day, except for “Egyptian night” the food was EXACTLY the same and every day I had stomach issues and had trouble enjoying the view cause I was stuck in the bathroom for what seemed like hours on end. My second issue was the staff, when you talk to them they seem nice but if you look back they just stare, and stare, and stare everywhere you go. The beach was beautiful and it is a lagoon so as expected it is not the deepest but that is to be expected and the snorkeling is beautiful, a tip to future travelers if you walk to the left along the beach there is a diving center about a kilometer away and they offer all day snorkeling for only 5 Euros and it is a magnificent reef. The animation team was very energetic but the nightly shows are a disaster, especially when the fire show set the entire stage on FIRE that was at least a little excitement. And men, if you are on vacation with your wife or girlfriend do not let them wear a dress that shows even a little back or anything, pictures will be taken of her and not in a sneaky way. The refrigerator does not work also, and do not drink the water, it is yellow and I imagine would be deadly, and the water they offer is metallic and plastic particles floating it. All in all it was a beautiful location but do not eat the meat or fish or vegetables or anything “fresh”, if someone tries to sell you something do not say maybe, say no or you will have two weeks of “hello my friend have you changed your mind super prices” and bring a water filter
Very bad hotel in every thing
Bad food ( quality and quantity )
Bad room service ( they don’t clean the rooms even when they do they offer a dirty towels !! )
Very bad hospitality
I asked for diving but they don’t have the service !!!
The gym is not working
They don’t clean the pool ( very dirty water)
I stayed one week with my family
I loved this hotel is very nice view and quite room, nice beach , big Swiming pool
Service is very good , food is very good and text , big room with good furniture , good entertainment in the morning and evening
I hope go back again
Thank you
The hotel is lovely staff are so helpful. Food is Terrible. All inclusive is a bit of a joke. Tiny glasses of beer. No soda or tonic only sprite and no wine. No tea or coffee in rooms. Daily snacks are really poor. No bar snacks available. Nothing to do outside of hotel unless you take organised tours. Pools were lovely and clean. Rooms lovely and clean. Beach is littered and access to the sea is difficult as it's so rocky. I imagine that summer here would be great. Not so great in November no entertainment .
Nov 2017
On arrival at night resort was very quiet and was low occupancy the appearance looked good, the pool area looked great with plenty of sun beds around the pools the rooms are of a reasonable size with in offensive furnishings. bathroom was a good size lighting was not the best in there for certain grooming issues the hot water was a issues for myself as trying to get a hot shower was hit and miss affair.
there was a issues with lots of flickering lighting near wardrobe.. sounded like a electrical issue there.
are fridge did not appear to be working but after a couple of days try to figure it out I reported it as faulty , they did change this but still was pretty poor it barley put a chill on anything.
the wifi was a issue took days to actually get a connection which was very slow .most of the staff we helpful enough but there where one or two members of staff that were a pain and gave attitude.
the food was really basic with very limited choice and flavour but the resort did not offer any other alternative pay for or otherwise and the venue is remote so no local outside option.lots of food ran out without any possibility of top ups so if you turned up later in the serving there was even less options to eat you felt really uncomfortable if you wanted to eat more than a scope as they don't cater for plenty .I kept saying why don't they lower the choice increase the quality and amounts but as said there was a limited spread. I brought all my own drinks as again cheap nasty choice given. oh for a coffee even nescaff instant but nothing so nice.
the pool bar did not offer any snack option again not the most pleasant staff help there everything was chore.
this venue is not use to dealing with English guest we were the only English which did not bother me but the staff are not great with the conversation issues.
the cleaning .. I did not look to close but then couple of days in I notice how things were covered in thick dust etc but I feel as this was a cheap holl it was reflected in the standards so could not complain too much but after going to a hotel near to this place the standards difference was very different but I don't know how much the other venues prices where.
there was nothing to do at night so one you had y0ur evening service it was off to bed you go. they should of maybe kept the pool bar open so people could hangout instead the lobby was the option and that was not the best place to hangout as it was uninviting and could do with a little style to create a feel
they could do so much more to improve this place to maximize the experience and offer paid options to guest so u had a choice of something better.
all in all it was okay if you take it at the fact that it was really cheap as we only couple of hundred each that's why I didn't expect to much for this if I paid more I would not of been happy I have holled 5 times in eygpt at least I had plenty of sleep lol
Difficult to review!
We went out of season ( Jan ) & there was only around 8 people staying here, as a consequence it was really quiet which we loved, it was like we had the place to ourselves. The resort is small & very well kept with 2 beautiful swimming pools... the staff are cleaning, maintaining the grounds & gardens all the time, it is directly in front of a shallow lagoon so is perfect for a quick dip in the ocean.
The manager of the resort was smiley & did everything to make our stay pleasant, even changing our room so we could take advantage of the evening sun on our balcony & the head chef went out of his way to cater for our veggie needs... preparing some delicious pizza & Egyptian cuisine on request ...even with all these positive factors there was so much that needed to be improved.
During our 4 week stay in Marsa Alam we stayed at 3 different resorts so unfortunately for Laguna Beach we had comparison ... images of this hotel show a bustling resort with huge buffet offerings & many deserts... in reality this wasn't the case ( at least whilst we were there - things maybe different in peak season ?! )
The deserts & buffet were disappointing & the breakfast ( excluding the egg station ) was sad. The customer experience in the restaurant was poor & the waiter / bar man was often moody. We don't like to give negative feedback & always accentuate the positive... but this resort needs to do something drastic to keep up with the competition. Other hotels closer to the airport have more to offer & they are cheaper, perhaps a change of direction maybe more suited to its remote location - focusing on staff training & creating a retreat for pure relaxation & giving great food rather than trying to be "animation" led activity based resort ..... which is difficult with 8 guests...
This review was based on our experience "out of season" things maybe very different peak season.
Hope this helps!
4 fun animation team is the best and the hotel so classy food is incredible amazing stuff professional management actually I spent there very good time and the 4 fun animation team made my vacation specially (kantaw , irisha , ira )
Sure I will back again
This place was fantastic! No need to leave the resort the whole week.
It was designed for Italian tourists and we were told that were the first ever English guests. It is a fairly new resort but this came as a bit of a surprise to us because the place was so nice.
I think it's a hidden gem away from the busier Sharm el Sheik resorts and eventually Brits will find it.
Would definitely return here for a week of relaxation. There is nothing at all in the area around the resort but really there is no reason leave a resort like this once there.
The only nag is the distance from the Airport in marsa alam. We started to wonder if we were travelling accross all of egypt to our resort.
Very Clean, Safe and Friendly.
Extremely generous staff! The guy on the beach bar Ahmed made us feel very welcome and his service was exceptional!
I spent with my wife 1 week in that Hotel and that was our worse Holiday ever. The food always cold and the same, unfriendly staff, room cleaning when THEY was in a mood for and during 1 week no towel changing even we complained many times about. Never again, there are better Hotels in Rgypt.
I've stayed in this hotel for 14 days, it was my fourth time in Egypt, and I was very satisfied. Majority (90%) of visitors was from Italy, and I found out that Italians are very nice, cultural, friendly and peacefull people so staying here was even better because of them. Room cleaning was very very good. sometimes they created beautiful sculptures from towels. Room was always very clean. Workers here work very hard and they always have smile on their faces. They are very friendly. The only problem is, that their english is very very poor. The receptionist didn't even understanded us majority of time. Including, I was a little bit dissapointed about animation team. It seemed that they had not put a 100% effort in their work. Service is very fast. Only problem is that at meal time cutlery (knives, forks, spoons...), were not on table most of the time, so we had to search for them ourselves. Food at restaurant is very average, although there is one Italian chef, baking pizzas. But it's nothing special. One day I asked for additional pillow at reception and it seemed that the receptionist didn't put enough effort for satisfying my need. They hadn't brought me pillow untill I asked the room maid to bring me one, few hours later. And now for wifi. Wifi at reception is free, but it's so slow that you can't even load a website. There is an paid option for wifi in rooms, but it's very expensive - 60€ for 2 weeks. I recommend buying a Vodafone sim card at airport for 27€, you get 3.5gb of internet and it's fast (H/H+). At all hotel is very good, clean and peacefull. There's one of best diving centres in Egypt only some hundred meters up the beach, and you can dive there for 2€ and it's really beautiful. I think hotel is worth its 4 stars. BUT. Now the thing that bothered me the most, and it's one of stupidiest things i've ever experienced. THE HOTEL HAS ITS OWN TIME. Yes. You read it right. Hotel has its own time that is one hour ahead of egyptian time. They say that ''this service is offered by Hotel Management to let you benefit the maximum perioid during the day to enjoy all hotel services and activites...". But my opinion is that this is only a cause to big confusion. I've hated it. They could fix this problem by moving all activites one hour earlier, instead of moving one hour ahead for all people. But overall for this price hotel is good and I would come back, but not for 2 weeks because it becomes boring after one week.
