A beautiful and peaceful welcome to Beijing and China
Pros:

The Staff are truly exceptional, a very heightened sense of service and willingness to assist with whatever guests need. The breakfast is also exceptional and the flower arrangements in the hotel add to the pleasure of your visit. The room was very large, and well appointed. The lighting does require some effort to master.

Para un hotel de esa categoría los hay mucho mejores.

Cons:

Veníamos de otro hotel de 5 estrellas muy cercano a 5 minutos, en el que realmente estabamos bien y nos cambiamos al Waldorf pensando que era mejor, aun teniendo sitio en el otro hotel. Desconociamos que nos llevariamos una gran decepción. Mi mujer y yo queríamos cenar en el restaurante de 1 estrella Michelin del hotel y nos dijeron que estaba completo, preguntamos si había sitio en "La Braserie" el que está en el looby y le dijeron que tampoco.
Subimos a la habitación, nos cambiamos y reservamos para cenar en un estrella michelín cercano al hotel. Cuando bajamos a recepcion mi mujer volvió a preguntarles y ahora le dicen que si hay sitio. Finamente mi mujer decidió no salir del hotel y anular la reserva en el otro restaurante, por lo que cenamos en el hotel. Cual fue nuestra sorpresa que la mayoría de las mesas estaban libres y nunca llegó a llenarse. Mi mujer y yo fuimos los últimos en dejar el restaurante. Es decir descaradamente no querían que cenaremos en ese restaurante. Quizá porque mi mujer y yo veníamos de ver la ciudad vestidos de sport. Tal fue nuestra sorpresa cuando subimos a cenar elegantes y los que estaban cebando de sport era el resto de clientes. Señores, un hotel de categoría, da soluciones a los clientes, no les ponen trabas. En el supuesto caso de que el Hotel estuviese lleno de verdad (no era el caso), siempre ( y así nos ha pasado en otros hotels de 5 estrellas) al cliente se le da una solución, por ejemplo con un restaurante externo y nunca se le dice que no. Un chasco. Sinceramente no volveremos. Además el desayuno era muchísimo mejor en el hotel anterior y además con vistas.
