The hotel was good for the price. Close to things in old town.
The hotel was prepared for our booking so check in was very smooth. Staff was very helpful and met all our needs. The front desk staff assisted with tour plans and made good suggestions. Our room was clean and well equipped. It is older facility but for the price it was a very good deal. The breakfast was very similar to our other Thai hotels. The room is equipped with a mini frig with bottle water replenished daily. The location was outstanding between old town and the night market. It is near many restaurants and bars.
We've stayed here before, but this stay reminded us why we'll choose differently in the future. The property is well situated, a reasonably short walk to the ThaPhrae gate in Chiang Mai and close to a number of restaurants bars and coffee shops. Rooms are adequate, and the price is reasonable enough. Breakfast buffet is very ordinary, and they've switched to a wonky Wi-Fi system that requires constant re-entering of login/password, and there were times when it just didn't function. There is a decent swimming pool, but the overall feel of the hotel is of one that has seen its better day. Parking is available, which was one reason I booked here again, but because of a major storm, we decided at the last minute to take a bus instead of driving.
Personnel sans plus. Piscine chauffé. Petit dej a oublié
Great location great price. The room was nice good location. Great Tai massage place next-door. The best tai massage I’ve gotten yet in Thailand.
Mould in shower. Worn out towels. Paint peeling off in extremely large flakes in bathroom. Reception desk never greet the customers. They will not even look up. Poor breakfast. Breakfast coupons have to be asked for every single day even when one has paid for the week.
Good for a few nights
Ficamos lá uma noite pra pegar o aeroporto e não nos atendeu bem em todos os quesitos.
The cleaning staff steal your belongings and the hotel covers it up saying it was thrown out during room cleaning! No need to touch your things.
Hotel is really showing its age. Musky smell coming from bathroom and creaking bedframe. Limited breakfast spread.
With so many up-and-coming hotels in Chiangmai, I think there are better options at this price point.
Nothing fancy but great location in old town - just outside of the craziness. Clean rooms, super quiet and walking distance from restaurants and the city center
OK for the price
밤 늦게 도착해서 잠만 자는 숙소로 선택했습니다.
바퀴 두마리 잡고 그 이후는 조용했네요 ㅎ
Stayed at the Wangburapa Hotel on a few occasions. The staff are really helpful and hotel is clean. Great place to stay to view and walk around the old city.
Personnel tres attentif toujours un sourire demander quelque chose pas de problème
This place is a gem! Fantastic location right in the Chiang Mai square, so clean, staff is amazing and very accomodating. We are coming back!
We returned to the Wangburapa Grand in Chiang Mai in part because of its proximity to the interesting Tha Phae Gate area of the old city, which is near quite a few restaurants, cafes and bars, though construction near the hotel makes walking on the Mun Mueang Road sidewalk a bit treacherous. The front desk staff was friendly enough but kept trying to sell us on Chiang Mai tours we weren’t interested in. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but generally acceptable, though a large Florida-sized cockroach (we used to call them palmetto bugs) invaded one of our bathrooms. And the breakfast buffet was a real comedown after the nice one we had in the Bangkok hotel we had just left, with pretty bad coffee, cold fried eggs and otherwise boring fare. The four of us didn’t use any of our breakfast coupons after the first day.
The hotel does have a decent pool.
