Location was excellent, the staff were exceptional. Attention to detail was very good from the staff.
The hotel was comfortable and clean
I felt the room was disappointing, as we paid a huge amount for a suit, I was slightly disappointed by the room we received.
In the spa there was no access to cold water!!
Everything in the hotel was very expensive.
Everything about the hotel was 10/10. Food- amazing. Drinks- amazing. Room- amazing. Staff- very attentive. Location - great. Would definitely stay here again.
ALLES
I'm booking my 3rd visit to this hotel, my yearly treat. From the staff, rooms, food and spa services - all amazing, can't wait
Room view was not nice, air conditioning was not working properly
Exceeds expectations beyond imagination!!!
This is an exceptionally clean hotel, amazing location, beautiful, but what truly sets it apart is their customer service.
Even before we arrived, Frank in Concierge helped plan our stay. He was patient and very knowledgeable, and all his recommendations were amazing.
We had two beautiful rooms facing the garden. These rooms are so quiet that even with the parade going on, we couldn’t hear a bit of noise.
The concierge team is truly one of the best in the World, front desk, valet, restaurant staff, really everyone, truly made an effort to accommodate all of our needs.
Their recommendations are all great, they plan every detail so well.
There is not one thing I can say negative.
Thank you, Frank, Sanne, John, Dimitrios, Nathaniel, Gabriel, Meijke, and everyone else who helped us make our stay one of our best experiences ever!
If you are a picky traveler, you will be happy to stay here!
My stay at the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam was exceptional. I stayed in Room 321, which had a charming sitting area with a high window reached by a small spiral staircase. From there, I enjoyed watching the boats glide along one of Amsterdam’s busiest canals—a relaxing view that became one of my favorite memories of the trip.
The room was elegant and spacious, and the luxurious bathroom featured both a beautiful soaking tub and excellent amenities. Every detail reflected the high standards you expect from a Waldorf Astoria.
What truly made the stay special was the service. Every member of the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making my visit memorable. Their hospitality was outstanding.
The hotel’s central location made it easy to walk to museums, restaurants, and many of Amsterdam’s major attractions.
I have stayed in many luxury hotels around the world, and the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam is among the very best. The next time I visit Amsterdam, I won’t even consider staying anywhere else. Highly recommended.
The location
The rooms do not have e views
My partner and I stayed here a few weeks ago, and from the moment we booked, the experience was exceptional. We even received an email before arrival asking if we had any special requests, which was a lovely touch, and everything we requested was fulfilled perfectly.
From the transfer from the station to arrival at the hotel, the service was fantastic. The staff were incredibly attentive, always on hand to help with our bags and opening doors as we came and went. We were also fortunate enough to receive a room upgrade, which was amazing. The room itself was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and made our stay feel even more special.
The breakfast also deserves a special mention, as it was honestly one of the best hotel breakfasts we have had. The quality and selection were excellent, everything was fresh and beautifully presented, and it was the perfect way to start each day. It really complemented the overall luxury experience of the hotel.
What really stood out, however, was the staff. Every member of the team was friendly, welcoming and genuinely went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay.
The only slight hiccup came on the day of departure. After breakfast, we headed back to our room to finish packing before checking out, as we were quite tight on time and had a train to catch. However, we found that our key cards had been deactivated and we were locked out of the room. This meant we had to go back down to reception, where we were immediately asked about a small outstanding room dining payment that had apparently not gone through.
It appeared that payment had been attempted overnight rather than simply being settled upon departure, as is the case in most hotels. While the amount was only small and we had every intention of paying it at checkout, being locked out of our room felt like a rather strange and somewhat insulting practice, as it gave the impression that it was assumed we were not going to settle the bill. This was not something that had been explained to us on arrival and is not what we would have expected from a hotel of this calibre. Had it caused us to miss our train, it could have been a much more frustrating experience.
That being said, this was a minor issue in what was otherwise an exceptional stay and it certainly did not outweigh the outstanding service we received throughout.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would still happily give the hotel 5 stars. The level of service, attention to detail and warmth from the staff made this a truly memorable stay, and we would not hesitate to return. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our visit so special.
I was so fortunate to recently stay for the fourth time at the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam, and once again it exceeded every expectation. It takes a lot to truly impress me, and this hotel is simply faultless — from before you even arrive.
Before our stay, we needed to have some lost items sent to the hotel. The team followed up multiple times, ensuring everything was organised and waiting for us. That level of care and attention immediately sets the tone.
The uniforms are among the most beautiful I have seen anywhere, the food exceptional, and the service without peer. But what truly makes this hotel special is the people.
Every single staff member knows your name, remembers your preferences, and makes you feel genuinely recognised — even if they have been away for a few days. There is such generosity of spirit and a willingness to give their time. Somehow, despite being a world-class hotel, it feels as though you are the only guest.
My greatest thanks and praise, however, must go to Peter, the Head Concierge. He is a true master of his craft and the perfect example of what exceptional concierge service should be.
I have little interest in “touristy” restaurants or experiences that anyone can simply find online. A great concierge should understand the guest, their tastes and what will make their experience memorable — and Peter does exactly that. He curated every recommendation perfectly for us, and every suggestion was outstanding.
While travelling onwards to Dubai, Peter asked where I was staying. I had not yet made any plans. He took the time to understand my preferences and suggested the Waldorf Astoria Dubai. It sounded exactly right, so I trusted his judgement — and I am so glad I did. He organised everything, including my airport transfer, which was especially appreciated as I was travelling without my husband.
I have absolutely loved my experience at the Waldorf Astoria Dubai as well, and I have Peter to thank for helping create such a seamless continuation of my journey.

If I could give this hotel 10 stars I would! Stayed here with my husband for one night as we were in Amsterdam for a Rhine River Cruise. This was possibly the classiest hotel I have ever stayed! From the minute you walk in, you feel like royalty. Every member of the staff is top notch and even remember your name. The rooms are beautiful and well appointed. The AC works great, the bed is totally comfortable, rooms are spotless, great water pressure etc. We were upgraded to a suite and had a canal view as we had mentioned that we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and my husband is diamond status. Thank you so much Waldorf for a very memorable stay and we will always stay there anytime we are in Amsterdam.
