Sehr schönes, komfortables Hotel in zentraler Lage

Sehr schön restauriertes Haus im Kolonialstil. Zimmer stilvoll möbliert, Holzfussboden, Innenhof mit Grünpflanzen, leckeres Frühstück, zentrale Lage zur Erkundung der Altstadt mit vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten, freundliches Personal

Cons:

Die meisten Zimmer haben das Fenster zum Wandelgang im Innenhof, was die Privatsphäre und die Lüftungsmöglichkeit einschränkt. Die Fronttür war häufig abgeschlossen und man muss klingeln und warten, bis aufgeschlossen wird.

The location of the hotel in downtown area is desirable but the services are not as promised.

The room was clean. The breakfast was ok.

Cons:

There is no WiFi. We had a room that was in the new annexed building. The room faced the street and it was very noisy every night, even in the early morning hours. It was impossible to sleep. Breakfast service was not friendly and food was inconsistent with the menu.

Nous avons bien dormi, l’emplacement est bon, mais ne tardez pas le soir ou utilisez un transport privé.
Pros:

Au premier abord, l’hôtel ne semble ni incroyable ni très moderne, mais son emplacement est vraiment excellent. Il est toutefois déconseillé de rester dans les rues après 21 heures, car le quartier devient très glauque et mal fréquenté.

Cons:

Nous n’avons pas rendu la clé à la réception, donc la chambre n’a pas été faite. Aucune information ne nous avait été donnée concernant cette façon de procéder, et la réception ne s’est pas vraiment montrée impliquée lors de notre réclamation. J’avoue n’avoir jamais vu cela dans l’hôtellerie.

Fine, but absolutely not 5 star!!
Pros:

The room was big and clean with a large comfortable bed and quality bed linen.
The breakfast was fine: juice, fruit, choice of 3 main dishes and tea/coffee.

Cons:

This is not a 5 star hotel. For 5 star you would expect toiletries (there was a tiny unmarked bottle of green liquid), bottled water (filtered water was not even available), a fridge, robe & slippers and a lift (given the height of the ceilings, the second floor felt more like the 4th and no assistance was given with luggage). In addition, the safe was operated by a key rather than number pad (seemed strange), we had to ask for the room to be cleaned (it didn’t seem to be an automatic daily event) and the soundproofing was appalling- if you’re a light sleeper, ensure you get a room at the back. Despite all the above, the hotel was fine - you just need to know what to expect, and that’s not 5 star!
