Hostess deseree was wonderful

Was a great place to stay. Nice to be away from the crowds of tourists. Plenty to do with the pool, canoes etc - there is a lot more sea life in the water than further up the lagoon. Desiree was so helpful and accomodating- nothing was too much trouble. The cleaning staff were excellent and very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

This was our second stay at Avana Beachfront Apartments with manager Desiree and friendly staff. The studio has all the amenities , and a wonderful view of the lagoon from the deck. It’s close enough to Muri restaurants, stores and the night market to make it easy for dining options and breakfast coffee. Had a lovely time paddling in the kayaks and swimming in the pool when the weather was windy. Friendly, helpful staff who do their best to make sure you get a wonderful holiday. We loved our 2 weeks here and look forward to returning .

We had an upstairs room that was large & comfortable with a balcony ,bed was good plenty of chairs ,the view from the deck was good although impaired by trees which could do with a bit of thinning out , beach & pool were good & closeby. plenty of choice with kayaks single & double with great paddling to the nearby Island & round the lagoon although launching was hard at low tide on the stones . Allthough advertised with air conditioning
we found on arival it was an extra cost per day because of expensive power.however we had an enjoyable time at this location.

The friendliness of the staff from the first day to the last was very welcoming. You felt they knew you. The accommodation was more than expected, a loaf of bread, a bunch of bananas, as well as jam, marmalade, butter was all in the unit on arrival.
The wifi was fickle.
We were lucky on our day of departure the staff let us carry on using our unit until the afternoon, thank you

Our room was clean, quiet and private with great access to the lagoon, beach and pool. A 2km or 20 minute walk to all the facilities in Muri, we hired a car and could park at our door.

Facilities were great with all you need to self cater. Pool was lovely and proximity to the beach a highlight. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The scenery is stunning, and the accommodation is excellent. The staff are especially warm and attentive, making the stay very enjoyable. The only downside is that the air conditioning doesn’t cool properly, making the room quite hot. If this could be improved, the experience would be perfect.

Our unit was very private which we loved. The lagoon view is awesome. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Loved staying here! Desiree and team are so generous and hospitable. Really enjoyed the amenities provided and the free activities such as snorkelling, kayaking and my personal favourite, the coconut husking station! Had the best time, will be back if visiting again. 😁

Always great to stay here, so handy to all that you need, was here for work but some down time was found.

Desiree was a wonderful host, nothing was a problem, knowlegeable about area, helped with WIFI and taxis. Pool area was immaculate

I personally loved being away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy spots. I am not so sure that my hubby felt the same!!You need a car or scooter - which are cheap as chips. The staff could not have been more lovely - they are superb. I will be back with the grand children.

I liked the view of muri lagoon from our studio and that it was situated off the main road.

However, it is not a quiet place to stay as it faces the lagoon and on a windy day (which we had many during our stay) it howled through the studio. Roosters and barking dogs also made it a challenge to sleep. Ear plugs were essential.
