Thumbs Way Up for the Hotel Frankfort!
Pros:

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Frankfort. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfy. The owners and staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The restaurant is impressive and delightful. The hosts have big plans for the future of the hotel and gave us a tour of the building (including the classic wine cellar and speakeasy below.)
The charming town of Frankfort itself is a wonderful vacation destination. Still a lot going on there, even in late October. We discovered (and fell in love with) a spectacular art gallery just a couple of blocks away from the hotel: The Elizabeth Lane Oliver Center for the Arts. Incredible.
We will return!

A Gem on the Shores of Lake Michigan

Pros:

Love local mom and pop owners and this small boutique hotel is not only owned by a new owners but one can make out that they care about their guests and staff.
The patio dining was delightful and delicious. A short walk from the lighthouse and sunset beach made it an ideal location!

Pros:

I had such a relaxing stay for my race for Ironman and so convenient. The bed was insanely comfortable and I loved the ease of the attached restaurant. All the staff was incredibly sweet and accommodating as well! I will definitely be back!

This was the perfect location to stay while I raced Michigan Ironman 70.3. Location was perfect. It was quiet. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The food at the restaurant was wonderful. The whole building was very clean. I only wish I had booked a large room

Hotel Frankfort & Restaurant -Exceptional!
Pros:

The hotel is well suited for couples looking for a step back in time with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The hotel lobby and check-in desk is well appointed in natural wood with a sitting area and an open staircase to the second floor. Adjacent to the lobby is a cozy bar and restaurant, again in original natural wood. The food and drink were exceptional and if the weather cooperates, there is a covered outdoor dining area where you can be amused by the tourist activity on Main Street.
The rooms are nicely themed and have all the necessities and Wi-Fi for a comfortable visit. First floor rooms are easily accessible for persons with disabilities.
The new owners, (as of August 2025) Jana and Steve are very personable and excited about plans to add more ambiance to the historic building.
The Hotel Frankfort is centrally located for walking through town or to the beach, and is in close proximity to hiking, biking, beaches and sightseeing travels along Michigan's gold coast and surrounding areas. We highly recommend a bicycle ride from Frankfort to Beulah along the dedicated trail. An easy and excellent adventure is to the Arcadia Marsh Boardwalk, which is located on road M-22 just 12 miles south of Frankfort. We are return visitors to the hotel and the area as there is so much to do. Fred F.

The property is in walking distance to the beach and lighthouse. We were able to enjoy the sunset right after supper. It is updated, clean, and with friendly / helpful staff. There are also plenty of gift shops & restaurants nearby. Two thumbs up !
