Abbiamo prenotato in questo hotel due notti spinti dalle ottime recensioni che ha sui vari siti.
L’hotel è a poche centinaia di metri dalle mura di Cartagena ed il centro si raggiunge facilmente.
Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile, sempre sorridente. Purtroppo però la struttura necessiterebbe di una rinnovo completo: i mobili sono vecchi (ovviamente è un’opinione personale ma non incontravano minimamente i nostri gusti), la stanza era pulita ma con pareti scrostate, tra la zona lavandino e il letto c’erano al massimo due metri privi di porta. Inoltre la zona wc e quella doccia erano in comunicazione con la zona letto poiché la loro porta non raggiunge il soffitto.
Non abbiamo usufruito della piscina poiché anche quella si presenta male ed al nostro arrivo uno dei due lettini giaceva rotto.
Per la colazione non si ha scelta: uova. Anche questa decisamente squallida, viene servita nella zona comune adiacente alla piscina dove si muore di caldo e con gli uccelli che beccano sul tavolo.
Sicuramente ha prezzi inferiori rispetto agli hotel nelle mura ma questo non giustifica lo stato di decadenza in cui vengono accolti gli ospiti.

Great stay at Castillo Ines Maria
Pros:

We enjoyed a short stay at Castillo Ines Maria. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfasts (which change daily) were delicious and filling.
The hotel is small and away from the main tourist sights, so pleasingly quiet and peaceful at night. It is a short walk to the walled city/centro historico, but be aware it can be difficult to cross the busy arterial road which passes between the street the hotel is on and the walled city.

Gute Lage zur Ciudad Amurallada, zu Fuß ca. 10 Minuten, Taxi liegt bei 3 - 4 € pro Fahrt.
Schön ausgestattetes und sauberes Zimmer.
Die Innenausstattung des ganzen Hotels ist zauberhaft.
Sehr freundliches Personal und gutes, jeden Morgen frisch zubereitetes Frühstück

A Taste of the Old World
Pros:

The Castillo is as described in booking.com and by others. I wanted to comment on the especial kindness and care given by Ines Maria to me and others that I witnessed. I was very ill from the stomach upsets that were going around the city and San Andres. Ines Maria spoke to her doctor on my behalf and arranged for the pharmacy to give me the medication necessary to help me recover. I spent a day and a half in bed so I had plenty of opportunity to enjoy the wall paintings in our suite with balcony. Ines’ care has helped me enjoy our remaining weeks in Colombia. Ines Maria is bilingual and I overheard her making very special arrangements for another guest to surprise and delight his wife on her birthday. This is the kind of care that is very rare in the world.

While almost all of the staff were kind and attentive, I had difficulty communicating with the front desk person. At 8:30 a.m. I requested her to please have my sheets replaced but each hour or so I was told it would happen later. It didn’t happen until after 12:30 when I resorted to use Google Translate to explain that this could not wait until the end of the day when all the other chores were done. I really needed sleep. The housekeeper came quickly after that and did a lovely job so I slept the rest of the day and night.

Lovely stay - felt like staying in a rich aunt’s house in a quaint village in the rolling hills of Spain. Top notch staff, breakfast was VERY tasty too! The pool and rooftop area were really relaxing - loved it!

Special place
Pros:

Wonderful place to stay and to chill. Beautiful old style colonial house. Terrasse with sea view. Few steps to the sandy city beach. Ten minutes walk to the beautiful historical center. Everything was very clean and the service is very friendly.
