A very good hotel but a few quirks
Pros:

This is a very good hotel and in an excellent location, close to Grote Markt and the cathedral. It is very modern with a nice reception area. There is a lift to the rooms. There are complimentary drinks and nibbles in the early evening. When we arrived Thirza was on reception and checked us in. She was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had not booked breakfast as we don’t eat much usually and there are several cafés and bakeries nearby. There is no car park on site but there is a public car park very close by which costs €26 per 24 hour period.

The corridors and rooms have concrete ceilings and floors which are a bit weird. The room was small but the bed was very comfortable. The toilet was in a cubicle separate from the bathroom - a French thing I think. There was no actual wardrobe just a few hangers. There were a few slanting shelves but no cupboards or drawers. There was a small desk with 2 wooden stools but if one of you was at the desk no one else could get past, it was so tight for space.

The bathroom was very small and had a shower over the narrow bath. It wasn’t easy to get in because the glass screen was fixed. Toiletries were over the bath but there was no handwash on the sink. There was hardly any space for wash bags even though there was a place in the corner where some shelving could be installed. The room felt a little damp and towels did not dry very well at all so we were forced to have them changed. The room was fine for a couple of nights but it would be cramped for much longer.

Minder geslaagd dan voorheen
Pros:

Ligging. Vriendelijk.

Cons:

Aperitiefhapjes zijn minder dan voorheen. En ook maar tot 19uur ipv 20 uur. Jammer, want dit was de reden dat we steeds (2 x per jaar) voor dit hotel kiezen. Ook zeer kleine kamer gekregen deze keer.

Hotel redelijk tot goed.
Pros:

De locatie, middenin het centrum en alles dichtbij.

Cons:

- Kamers zijn wat gehorig.
- Kamers hebben redelijke grootte, echter douche- en wasruimte, waarin ook wc, zeer klein. Dit was ook slechts met glas afgescheiden van de slaapkamer.
- Op de website staat dat tussen 17.00 en 19.00 hapjes en drankjes gratis zijn. De hapjes zijn echter alleen een schaal met pinda's.
