Motel 6-Oceanside, CA

Room so small, was hardly room to walk between the two beds, and no room to walk on either side of the bed. Beds are only full size. Shower in the bathroom was tiny, you touch the sides all around you when you are trying to shower. No amenities in room.
We had reservations for August 21- 24th. My grandson, who got special leave to visit with us, got off Base early and added the night of the 20th, and a day or so later added on the night of the 24th as he didn't want us to leave yet. Everything was ok, until Monday the 24th, when finished with business on the Military Base, and was going to go to lunch. I had multiple text messages about our room. I called Motel 6, and the woman was saying the room had not been paid for, we were late checking out, etc. Hard to understand, did not speak English very well. My daughter and I went to the motel and went to the Office. The woman there, who we had not seen before, said she is the only one who takes payments, and no payment had been made. My grandson, who was on hold with the Motel at this time, texted me to say the payment was pending, so they were trying to take a payment. Woman showed me a piece of paper, which only had my grandsons name on it, and our room had been under my name. She was adamant no payment had been made, but they were still trying to get one. She said our stuff was in the office. We went to the area she indicated, and three men rolled out our belongings in a dirty laundry cart. They had literally just thrown our belongings into this cart. My CPAP had just been unplugged and threw in, and the distilled water leaked out all over everything, including laptop and other electronics. Some food items we had just bought had not been put in, we lost those. My grandson called later in the day, and the woman who answered said they had refunded his payment, for the 24th, and my grandson did verify with CC company. Seeking legal consult on electronics ruined.

Nothing, the guy charged me cash for my stay and $50 deposit on my credit card even though I told him I did not want to use cash. And my room was filthy! The bathroom had pee all over the floor and I requested house keeping and they would only come to drop off towels! I went to the front office twice to request cleaning products so I could just clean the bathroom myself and the solution seemed to be windex mixed with water it didn’t do anything that bathroom needs a bleach bath for that smell to come out! Also not safe location for women just minding their business Ive gotten multiple looks from strange men staying at the property and whistling at me not safe for young women :/ then at the end of my stay I requested the return of my deposit and the guy was like I cant issue a return unless the manager is there and I was so confused what did a manager being there have to do with giving me my refund and so I called the next day and the lady insisted that I was wrong and she asked for the email on file so I started spelling it out and she goes oh so its your first and last name Idk why you didnt just say that from the beginning.. *sigh* what can you expect from Motel 6 I guess but I am officially requesting a full refund of my stay !

Cleanliness, location, noise level, homeless people and druggies hanging around, roaches all around.

Rooms had no amenities. No Kleenex, no lotion, we even ran out of toilet paper?????

Showers were small. No microwave or refrigerator

Room wasn’t clean and the location felt a little unsafe for me being alone.
