99 The Gallery Hotel

Older budget hotel. When you check out they will have staff check the room and add extra charges.

We really enjoyed our stay at 99 Te Gallery hotel. The staff provided amazing service upon arrival and through our stay. The room was comfortable and vey clean. There were self serve laundry facilities which we needed at this stage of our trip. They had a restaurant and bar. We were able to get beers, ice and other drinks upon request. They had umbrellas that they would loan out with a deposit, which came in handy for us who forgot to pack umbrellas during monsoon season. The pool was a nice touch, and we enjoyed it after a hot day of exploring around town. The AC in the room was a welcome respite after the heat of the day. It was also very well located. The price was also very reasonable for the service and amenities. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

It is a good hotel in a central location, clean and the staff is very friendly. Breakfast was very simple and not real coffee just instant coffee, it's just convenient to leave fast, otherwise it's better to eat outside.

Clean and comfortable

the only place during my holiday where I felt a bit scammed. they advertised the accommodation as 70% off(roughly. don't remember the exact number), just so you think you get a very incredibly good deal. as I booked it last minute, I felt it slis possible as they couldn't sell all rooms, so I bought the promotion. I know if something sounds too good it is too good, but despite this I expected a higher quality - if I had paid what I paid as a full price and not at 70% off, I would have said it is a fair accommodation, but I expected a much higher quality.
the description said it has a balcony, and there was indeed something there, but not external (ie. more like another room in the room) and no view to the outside world.
They said they had a pool, which is again true, but it is tiny, only couple of people can fit around it and those would be the ones on the ground floor.
The personnel was lovely, although this was the only place where they clearly asked me to wait until they check my room for damage before I got my deposit back which leaves you with a strange feeling (I am sure they checked it at the other places too, but somehow they managed to do that in a less obvious way)
other than that, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable with a superb location.

Nice rooms and the hotel is in a great location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bathroom was small which was fine for one person but would be crowded for two people. Overall a great place to stay.

The room is definitely the price you paid. The hotel is well-kept. The room was clean. There are no thrills, but I only need a room to sleep, and a bathroom to get ready and shower.

We enjoyed the room. We had a patio and the bed was comfortable. The room was clean and well maintained, except for some damage to the wall where condensation had accumulated under the wall-mounted air conditioner unit. We didn't see mold, but I was slightly concerned. The breakfast was a la carte and not included in the price of the hotel. The options were limited and the restaurant was small, but it met our needs and want too expensive. The hotel is in the old town inside the wall, and was a convenient, designated pickup site for our excursions.

The hotel is well located, stylish and the staff are great, but where quality of sleep is concerned, it falls down considerably. When I stayed I was still ajusting to time differences but it was impossible to sleep beyond 8am as the cleaners seemed to parade up and down the corridor pushing the loudest trolley and speaking loudly on walkie talkies, for what seemed like 2 or 3 hours. I also chose the hotel partially because it has a pool, but this pool is tiny, only has three loungers and is located right on the main hotel thoroughfare, so not exactly in a relaxing environment. Not a bad hotel but not really the tranquil oasis I was hoping for.

Pleasant hotel in a great area! I came back here after staying in May, and absolutely love the hotel and facilities. Staff are awesome - so welcoming and a pleasure to interact with!
