The hotel closed on January 1st. Being converted into apartments.
Dangerous. Police busted out the hotel room next door to extracate a dangerous giest. We woke at 3am to tje police shattering the window and got yelled at ny police. People stomping up and down the landing and stairs for an hour. Stay away!
The hotel was a run down inn. They just renovated the furnitures inside. Lack of towels and kind of noisy at night.
My family and I attempted a Christmas vacation three night stay, they gave us the wrong room it didn't have the amenities as promised like a microwave there was a used flosser in the bathtub dirty towels were rolled up for use, and the floors were dirty we didn't stay we drove straight home and we are still trying to get our refund back but the manager is never in and she will not approve our refund it's been a couple days now we'll see stay clear of this spot it is pretty ghetto, I didn't think that there was a ghetto hotel in Carlsbad well this is the one.
Good location. My stay was fine. Some trash around the property outside. Dead bug squashed to the wall of my room and some flying insects as well. Toilet might be leaking from the bottom.
Door were dirty, spiders everywhere, didn’t stay, ended up leaving
Lady at desk had a really bad attitude. Very snarky.
Room had 1 towel.
The fridge froze all my food which i specifically needed a room to keep my goods cold .
Had 2 very flat pillows.
Im a gold member and they charged me extra to check in 1 hour early.
Im extremely upset with my stay at this hotel.
Parking lot was full and busy with weary folks standing around.
Only thing positive was close to shops.
I will bever choose this location again.
The room was great for a couple nights of sleep. Some of the guest were questionable and made me a little uncomfortable - not a family stay option at all.
Parking
Great
We just needed a place to sleep so we went lowest price. Room in disrepair. Asked for another blanket and pillow- didn't have any! No wash cloths. You get what you pay for!
Very caring staff.
The front desk staff is always friendly. They apologize for any wait time while they are assisting other guests ahead of me letting me know I am next. That acknowledgement is great customer service! They are working diligently to get to me next. Even when I misplaced/lost temporarily 2 door key cards different times last night. I was frantic about going to do my laundry. They were all nice about it. I found both key cards today between my car's driver door and the driver seat and promptly returned them to the front desk. Thanks for each of you having the patience & for being you!
Great motel rooms
Stay here! I am a local born and raised. When i need to get away rhis is my go to place, great location, best deal, and no hassle to get a room and check in. Well worth the stay, try it!
Thought it was a great deal for Carlsbad and can see why it was a deal.
Ordered a Queen bed and got a Full. The comforter has a cigarette burn and the overall look was a stretch for an Inn.
If you need a place to crash after drinking it will work.
It is a great value for the location, if you want to be in Carlsbad Village for a night or two and are ok with "motel 6 type motel" this is it for you. There is a little transient feeling here tho, watch your stuff, keep valuables not in room etc. They do have some weird rules that makes you think it's a hostel, a $200 deposit that gets refunded the day you check out...
I’m happy stay here
Nice place to stay cleaning
Staff really good people
Always good place to stay safe lots shopping
Walking to anywhere and fun area
I recommend
It was average.
The room was completely dirty with actual sand/dirt on the floor. The floor was stained the walls needed painted. The windows were old and leaked the heater/air conditioner did not work. The beds were completely uncomfortable. There was a stain on the sheet. The mattresses were in plastic bags. I’m guessing to prevent bedbugs.. The tub was dirty and cracked as I took a shower. Two spiders crawled out of the drain. There was constant loud, talk, partying people in and out the doors, people arriving and leaving all night long there was a fight between a group of girls in the parking lot. There was a homeless guy that slept under my window and I was constantly getting knocked on the door from people looking for John. I had booked a two night stay and decided to leave after one night. I was told that I could not be given a refund. I had to contact Expedia. I contacted Expedia, who then said they were unable to reach the property owner because they would not answer the phone. As a note every room whether paid for by a debit card or a credit card requires a $100 deposit that they prefer in cash and you cannot get the deposit back until the next day after they inspect the room. In other words, if you give them a $100 deposit and you check out at 11, you are going to be hanging out until they inspect the room. The housekeeper gives the OK and then the manager will give you your money back.
