What's more, I was double charged due to the mistake of a front desk assistant.
Two weeks on, still awaiting my refund while empty promises from management persist.

I had a wonderful and memorable stay at Monarch ParkView Hotel in Addis Ababa. From start to finish, the service was outstanding, and the hotel provided a warm, comfortable, and welcoming atmosphere.
I would like to sincerely commend the manager, Aklilu Mengistu, for his professionalism and excellent leadership, which is clearly reflected in the high standard of service throughout the hotel. Special thanks to Yoseph for his kindness, attentiveness, and willingness to help at all times.
The front desk team, especially the very pleasant young ladies, were always friendly, welcoming, and efficient, making every interaction a pleasure.
I would also like to extend a big thank you to the breakfast team and servers for their excellent service. The food quality was outstanding, with a great variety of fresh, delicious options. The restaurants within the hotel facilities were excellent, offering high-quality meals in a pleasant and well-maintained setting.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, and every detail showed care and attention to guest satisfaction. I highly recommend Monarch ParkView Hotel to anyone visiting Addis Ababa and would gladly stay here again.

I won’t recommend it
Pros:

The receptionist was very polite and room service guy was amazing

Cons:

Room was extremely tiny, you can barely move around, shower was very bad there was no coffee left I only see 3 tea bags with 1 available cup even though room was book for me and my husband! It seems over priced for the service they offer the only thing that was amazing is the staff , very helpful polite and they go out of their ways to make our stay better. The restaurant staff ( when we went to eat breakfast) can do better the waiter was just lovely the manager came to offer us if we needed anything but it felt like forcefully no smile or polite.
