Pros:

Although it’s in the middle of nowhere but that’s what makes it a unique experience . The views are amazing and it gives you a pure and authentic experience of Iceland . We had a lot of snow and waking up to a view of mountain and glacier covered with snow was phenomenal .

Pros:

La posizione di questo hotel è sicuramente ottimale per avere buone possibilità di avvistare l’aurora, noi due notti su due siamo riusciti a vederla. Lo staff è gentile (a tratti assente) e la colazione molto buona.

Cons:

La camera non è all’altezza della struttura, i letti e le coperte sono minuscoli e dal bagno arriva un odore sgradevole. Nella doccia non c’è un piatto doccia e il vetro non ha una protezione per cui molta acqua esce bagnando tutto il pavimento. La neve delle camere sul davanti era stata spalata mentre dietro hanno lasciato un muro che impediva l’utilizzo del patio per uscire esternamente direttamente dalla camera.

It was a great stay for 2 nights for what we were travelling and had planned. There is nothing nearby so it was very eas

We enjoyed our stay here! It definitely feels in the middle of nowhere, but it was a good stop for us as we traveled the ring road and went glacier hiking one morning. It was a lot closer than some other hotels that were available. Everything was clean and comfortable. It ended up being a really great spot to see the northern lights too! There is a restaurant on site and the food was honestly pretty darn good.

Basic, but nice hotel

Beautiful location, but quite basic rooms.

Cons:

Every room has a back door and a small terrace outside, which is convenient if you spot the aurora and want to jump out quickly. Our door was blocked by the snow though, which was very sad as everyone was out to make a photo, and we couldn’t.
