The location was great, the staff were friendly and willing to assist. The room had blockout curtains and there was an aircon.

Cons:

Extremely noisy! The rooms are not sound proof. We were next to reception and heard every conversation, people coming and going. Our one window wouldn’t close so the noise from outside was loud and that city never sleeps! From people walking and laughing outside to honking of hooters throughout the night, safe to say we did not get a good nights rest at all. It really is a problem that the reception is only available from 10am to 6pm as we experienced issues with the guests upstairs. Expecting me to go outside the building at 3am to ring the reception from the door bell is not my idea of stress free/fun! Rather have phones in the room with direct access to that number. Also, there was a storm and it tripped the warm water pump and obviously as there is only a reception from 10am, they only fixed the problem after 11am. Even though they restocked the minibar, we were still exhausted and frustrated. We had 3 nights at this hotel and it was anything but enjoyable. Also, it’s in my opinion not a hotel, but a nicer dorm room with a private bathroom and cleaning service.

We had a wonderful time in Amsterdam with this comfortable and quaint stay on a canal.
Pros:

The location of the property was great. Very walkable. Access to food and coffee nearby, and a grocery store. Though they also had complimentary espresso pods and soda and water in our rooms. Plenty of space in the room. Very friendly staff, and they made sure we were in a room with proper air conditioning.

Fomos atendidos pelo recepcionista muito gentil, que explicou tudo que precisávamos saber e no nosso idioma natal (português)! O quarto é bonito, limpo e confortável, tamanho bom. Tínhamos soft drinks gratuitos também. Prédio tem elevador. Com certeza voltaríamos a nos hospedar ali. Ótimo custo benefício (hospedagem em dias úteis da semana)

Cons:

O ar condicionado era um pouco ruidoso, mas não atrapalhou nosso sono. A pia do banheiro é pequena também.

C’était très aimable de me préparer une surprise pour mon anniversaire, le personnel a dû voir ma date de naissance et ils m’ont préparé les ballons, prosecco et chocolat. C’était trop chouette ❤️

There were a number of items that were broken in room 403. There was a plastic part to the shower that fell off. The air dryer did not function, though a substitute was available. I was unable to adjust the cooling system.
