One of the best hotel I have been in Egypt for 11 times already but Tropitel hotel was really more than what I expected people are so friendly and kids club theam were so good with my kids my daughter want to stay there all the vacations and the animation team are good with us the food and the room are top 10 no complain about anything thanks a lot
I always try to be realistic and fair when I write any review so you may or may not agree with me. I have been on many holidays which claim to be 5* and all inclusive but this resort truly is. The rooms are maintained to an exceptionally high standard and you want for nothing. The food is absolutely first class, there is no feeling of 'sameness' each day, everything is completely fresh and great quality. I never felt like I had to 'make do' and could always have 3 good meals every day. It is clear that all the staff are totally professional and do everything possible to make your stay the very best it can be. The lobby bar is a truly 24hr bar which is unusual for most hotels claiming to be all inclusive. The only minor criticism some people may have (and it is minor) is that it is a bit secluded, there's nowhere that you could really go for a stroll outside of the hotel. This did not particularly bother me, as a solo traveller I was perfectly happy to stay on site. Not too much of the sunbed wars going on, just a few random fools who felt it necessary to put towels on beds at 2am but there really was no need. I would definitely recommend this to guests of all ages as well as those with children. Most definitely worth a visit and well worth the money. My congratulations and thanks to all the staff.
From the moment we arrived, it felt as though the world outside simply stopped. This wasn’t just a stay; it was a perfectly orchestrated escape.
The hotel is really nice one of the best we stayed in a nice room with husband and my 2 children everything was perfect here room service and the staff in the pool and restaurant the bar man was so friendly with us highly recommend hotel it’s 5 starts 🥰

Tropitel Sahl Hasheesh — A Tropical Family Paradise — Truly One of a Kind
This resort is absolutely stunning and ticks every box for a relaxing, feel-good holiday. The vibe here is wonderfully chilled — the guest mix is mostly families with young children and elderly couples, which creates a warm, peaceful atmosphere throughout.
Staff & Service — The staff across the entire resort are exceptional — friendly, respectful, and genuinely eager to help. The reception team deserve a special mention for being incredibly helpful with every single question or request, always doing their best to accommodate guests. The pool bar staff are equally brilliant, constantly coming round to bring drinks and check you're okay — nothing is ever too much trouble. The restaurant team are always polite, attentive, and helpful — they even went out of their way to source oat milk when requested, which was a lovely touch.
A special mention must also go to the customer relations, who organised a beautiful birthday surprise for my son — a wonderful welcome at the restaurant complete with a gorgeous cake. We also brought a cake to gift to the restaurant staff, who were genuinely thrilled and so appreciative. It's these little moments that make a holiday truly unforgettable.
Beach & Lagoon — The beach is immaculate, with sunbeds and umbrellas at the front and back, plus cabanas available to rent for a small fee. The jetty leads out to a breathtaking private lagoon — crystal clear and 2 metres deep, with one of the best coral reefs in Hurghada. Life jackets are provided for little ones or less confident swimmers, making it safe and enjoyable for the whole family. The beach is peaceful and private.
Pools & Safety — The main pool is partially heated and sits at a lovely warm 29°C, making it perfect for families and young children. One section leads through to a swim-up bar, which is great fun — though worth knowing this part is unheated at around 22°C, so a little refreshing if you're not expecting it! There is also a beautiful lounge area surrounding the pool, always kept spotlessly clean and tidy by the dedicated pool towel team, who work tirelessly to ensure every guest has fresh towels and that all the tables and loungers are neat and welcoming. The lifeguards are fantastic — always alert, professional, and keeping a watchful eye over all guests, especially the little ones. As a parent, that level of vigilance genuinely gives you peace of mind and allows you to truly relax.
Grounds — Kept absolutely immaculate. The tree and hedge sculptures dotted throughout the resort are stunning, and the gardeners clearly take enormous pride in their work. It really adds to the overall charm of the place.
Food & Drink — The food is consistently delicious and incredibly fresh. Fresh fruit is available throughout the day, and the quality never drops. Breakfast is a real highlight, and the main restaurant for lunch is always reliable and satisfying. Next to the main pool there is a fantastic little food shack serving freshly grilled food daily — burgers, fajitas, kofta, and hot dogs, all accompanied by fresh vegetables. It's a brilliant option if you don't want to leave the pool area.
There are three à la carte restaurants — an Indian, a Mexican, and Il Pomodoro (Italian). The Mexican and Italian both offer complimentary lunches every day, which is a fantastic perk. For dinner, all three restaurants require a pre-booking, available once per week for stays of 7 nights or more. The Sky Bar, perched on top of one of the buildings, is well worth a visit for the views — drinks there are charged separately and not included in the all-inclusive package.
Rooms — The rooms are kept spotlessly clean throughout your stay. Toiletries are replenished daily and include hand wash, shower gel, body lotion, conditioner, and shampoo. The tea and coffee tray is also restocked every day and comes with a lovely selection — green tea, hibiscus, breakfast tea, brown and white sugar, sweetener, and creamer. Each room also has a mini fridge stocked with complimentary drinks, refreshed daily, including water, Pepsi, and Miranda — a really nice touch, especially on those hot days! All rooms have a TV with a selection of international channels including Russian, Polish, Italian, German, Dubai sports, and English news channels.
Evenings — Entertainment is on every single night, but there's no pressure to join in. You can enjoy the show or simply unwind in the lobby bar with a cocktail and some chilled background music. The perfect end to a beautiful day.
Exploring Beyond the Resort — If you fancy stretching your legs, the hotel sits right on the beach with a beautiful walk leading to the old town of Sahl Hasheesh, decorated with stunning fountains that are truly breathtaking — particularly magical in the evening, though equally lovely during the day. It's a wonderful way to soak up the local charm and atmosphere. If walking isn't your thing, no worries — you can easily rent a mini golf cart for around $20 and explore at your own pace. A lovely little adventure for the whole family!
Handy Tip — Late Checkout — If you have a late flight, late checkout is available for a fee agreed at reception. My advice would be to pop down the day before your departure and ask — you can keep your room for several extra hours, which makes a huge difference on a long travel day and is absolutely worth it!
If you are looking for a beautiful, relaxing holiday in a resort that truly looks after its guests from start to finish, Tropitel Sahl Hasheesh is absolutely the one to book. We loved every single moment and cannot recommend it highly enough! 🌊🐠☀️

I love the Tropitel, it has been a while since I went maybe 3 years ago, and I was so looking forward to the cool chill out beach barman, Ali. This guy could remember your drink from the first time you ordered, he made my bereavement solo trip so much more bearable as he recommended things to do in the hotel, encouraged me to get massages from the massage team and he helped me to ask the right managers questions, when I needed help. Somehow, as you have lost a valuable assist to your hotel, it is not always about the location, as Sahl Hasheesh is far from the centre of town. It was really nice to go somewhere and feel safe. He never asked or waited for a tip, I used to talk to him and he was friendly but always looked out for the older couples too. He was a genuine nice, young professional barman.I saw him help out staff too during Ramadan a few years ago. Managers, if I were you I would get him back, because he made your hotel. Room cleanliness was still good. Food was not great, although the staff were mostly lovely, there is a questionable manager, who appears to treat his staff like they are below him, not impressed at all with that. The chill out pool was okay, but Ali was sorely missed. Please don't drop your best staff for no reason. I loved going to the fragrance man but the shops are highly overpriced in the hotel. Improve the beach a bit which it is easy by having more spaces to stop the winds. I would have recommended Tropitel to my 16 person party coming to Egypt in May but now, Ali is not there, we will stay somewhere else. Still like the Tropitel, but please retain good staff, get Ali back. We have 3 more trips back to Egypt, we would love to stay at the Tropitel again, at the chill out pool with Ali. Thanks again, and please take our suggestions on board.
Came to this hotel after a recommendation . The hotel itself was spotless and clean. The staff were friendly and attentive, from the pool staff by the adult’s pool, to the bar staff in Mermaids.
Didn’t really go to the lobby bar, so couldn’t comment too much, but everyone we came across was friendly.
The meals during the day from breakfast to dinner, I thought, were more than adequate. The only thing for me, was they wasn’t hot enough . Unless you had it cooked right in front of you.
The drinks, that’s another story, really awful, from flat beer to shocking spirits. Small measures of wine and spirits, to unfizzy mixers. Not enjoyable.
The room we had was large and comfortable, no complaints there.
Overall, we had a good time and a nice break, but definitely room for improvement in the drink and food department.
What a fabulous time at Tropitel. Such amazing staff, great food and what choice. I cannot speak more highly of this resort. We returned after 10 years now with our grandsons and we alk had an amazing week. Chose a family suite in number 2016 and Mohammed kept it amazing. Chefs were wonderful, service staff fantastic, pool guys and lagoon team fantastic. We all can't wait to come back.
Not 5 star …plastic cups, watered down drinks, food not great but staff are absolutely AMAZING! Hotel was beautiful and very clean, Sam the taxi driver was brilliant as was Mansour at the chill out pool. Wouldn’t return to this hotel unfortunately.
This review is honest and based on my own personal opinion. We arrived at the Tropitel on 25th Feb for a 4 week stay. The reception area is lovely and we were quickly booked in and shown to our room 4018. I had emailed guest relations before leaving asking for a high room overlooking the swim up bar, and this was exactly what we got, Thankyou. The room was of a good, clean standard. Comfortable bed and pillows.
The grounds are stunning and a pleasure to walk through. The beach area was good and kept clean. The loungers on the beach are not the most comfortable, especially for older guests like ourselves. We asked for a mattress but only one was available and another guest was using it. Maybe an area that needs addressed as my husband ended up with a very bad back. The toilets on the beach are kept meticulously clean by Mohammed. There are several bars around the beach and pools including a flume area for children and an adult only area for a quieter day for adults. Our first 2 weeks the bars were constantly running out of most beverages but this was addressed by Naomi at guest relations and Sherriff the food and beverage manager so things did improve with managements presence. If you have any issues go to Guest Relations and see Naomi she is British and makes sure guests issues are dealt with promptly, 5 stars Naomi!! They have 4 A La Carte restaurants which you may use 3 times a week one of which, comes with a charge, the Turkish. The Mexican and the Indian was superb but unfortunately I found the Italian very poor. The main buffet restaurants the Palms and the Waves, for me, was good for breakfast and lunch. Fresh salmon served some mornings was exceptional, but I found the evening meal very poor. Very little choice, tasteless, dried up and lukewarm. Sorry Tropitel, I just found it poor, no variety and the same most nights. Service was good and tables cleared promptly. Tropitel have an amazing entertainment team, actually the best I have experienced in Egypt. They interact with all guests and are very friendly and full of fun. LUBA was the star of the show for us!! She asked our names on day one and didn’t forget, she came and spoke every day. NOW for us personally, I found the entertainment, early evening, poor and boring.
We came down every evening to the lobby bar and was unable to get a seat. The first 2 weeks there was a gentleman and lady playing classical music on a piano which is not to our taste. But I understand guests want to mingle and chat! Instead we went upstairs to the Mermaid Bar! LIVE MUSIC we thought!! Well this was just as bad! The instrumental music wasn’t too bad, but the singers 🙈 were very poor. Trying to listen to poor, slow, boring music with children running in front of the stage screaming is NOT my idea of fun. It was also extremely cold as there is no roof in this bar. Osama, it may be winter, but guests are on holiday to enjoy themselves. Something a little more upbeat needed. I can’t comment on the shows in an evening because we only watched one, but it was good and entertaining. On a Monday afternoon, on the beach, they have a fruit festival with a saxophonist and Cuban dancers. NOW this is what I call entertainment!! Absolutely fantastic!! This memory will last with me for a long long time 5 stars 🌟 Before ending my review the staff are amazing at this hotel and there guests are there utmost priority! Abdullah, Mansour on pool area Saad and Kerlass on lobby bar provide 5 star service, exceptional staff, Abdallah deserves a promotion, I’ve never seen anyone work so hard. I would definitely return to Tropitel and would recommend it to others it’s a very good hotel but several areas need to improve.
From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely fantastic. The room was lovely, staff couldn't do enough for us. There was a great choice of lovely food. We've been here many times and each time there seems to be little improvements. Highly recommend
It was really poor for a five star
Rubbish drinks
Poor food
Limited choices
Had to get own cutlery and napkins
Half glasses of wine at lunch so you had to order 2 just to get a full glass
Cocktails are shocking we paid extra for all inclusive plus and the drinks were awful really disappointed
We had an amazing stay at Tropitel Sahl Hasheesh! I would like to give a special shout-out to our housekeeper Mohamed for the incredible job. Every day the room 5083 was perfectly clean, but the creative towel decorations and the hearts on the bed (like in the photo) really made our holiday special. Such a warm and professional person! We highly recommend this hotel for the great service and attention to detail. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!
Fantastic resort, lots to do for the family and the food is lovely. Very clean, very welcoming and I would highly recommend.
Book the restaurants to avoid disappointment.
+PRO:
A wonderful view, cleanliness, and mostly friendly and attentive staff, especially in the restaurants, on the beach, and even in the restrooms.
-CONTRA:
The pillows were very hard; I couldn’t rest at all.
As for the food, we didn’t always have many options to choose from, at least not for our tastes. We expected something better, more diverse, and perhaps more chicken than beef (I’m pregnant and avoid certain meats like beef, fish, etc.).
There were activities, but they were quite weak. The best ones were with the professional dancers; we also caught a very interesting Egyptian show.
What really upset me was that I went to the reception and asked for help to borrow a birthday candle, since on our last day—when we were leaving—it was my husband’s birthday. I didn’t want anything organized, just a candle to put on a cake myself. In the morning, a very kind staff member said he would look for one and asked me to come back around 9. I returned at 9, but there were different staff members at the reception. I told them I had spoken earlier about a small candle, and they redirected me to the information center. Very rude and unprofessional—I would have liked to make the last day a pleasant memory. That’s why I will give a low rating; this gesture weighed heavily for me.
I have recently returned from a two week stay in the Tropitel Sahl Hasheesh and can honestly say it's one of the best hotels in Egypt that we have stayed in . The service was excellent in all areas , particularly the room cleaning, where Alauddin kept our room spotless and was always very helpful and couldn't do enough for us.The service in both the bars and restaurants was also of a high standard and we enjoyed the a la carte as well as the buffet restaurant. Special mention to Muhammad and the other bar staff in both the Lobby Bar and Beach bar.The pool area was well maintained with plenty sun loungers and the gardens were beautifully tended.Overall a great holiday and will definitely return.
Very good. The personal is very, very profesional good hote 🥳🥳🥳🫶🏻
Everything at superlativ, food, entertainment team, everything great
Excellent stay at tropitel. Our second time at this hotel as a family ages ranging 1-75, perfect for all . Entertainment is brilliant, kids club is also amazing. So much effort made by all staff. Cannot fault the hotel. 100% recommend and will return again.
